Sorry for the wait. With some helpful tips from DCMagariMarvel, I was able to pass my writers block relatively fast. So if you are happy with how fast this came out after the note be sure to thank DCMagariMarvel! Not to mention some good one shots came from it. Thank you for the help! And I have a surprise this chapter!

Chapter 14

Roy sat in his apartment sharpening his arrows. He glanced at the phone. He hadn't heard anything from Dick or Wally in a while. Quite a while actually. He frowned more as he looked at the arrows. He touched the tip carefully. Sharp. Just as it should've been. He had sharpened them four times already in just that morning. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. He had always been close to Kid Flash and Robin. Mostly because at the time they were the only three partners to any member of the league. They weren't sidekicks.

He had gotten to know them both on a personal level and considered himself an unofficial big brother to the two goofballs. They always found trouble and more times than not called in for some under the table backup. Under the table was the key words. Many of the times he was called it wasn't because of a sour mission it was because they had done something dumb and were worried Batman or Flash would find out. There were, however, some rare occasions in which they went out on a solo mission for revenge or recognition and it went wrong. He was usually called then too. In simpler terms he was called when they needed help without the grown ups finding out. Now, he couldn't be an unofficial big brother if he was only there to beat up some bullies. No he was there whenever his little idiots needed him.

For example, when Wally's Dad used him as a punching bag Roy had often been there to calm him down and make him feel safe again. Though he secretly had been planning how to slowly kill the bastard until he had been arrested. He'd done the same for Dick too. Dick wasn't abused but he still went through anxiety from his parents death that he was too proud to let Batman see. Roy would often calm him down and be there for him. He had protected them both from criminals, heroes, their pasts, their emotions, and themselves. Yes he was very close to the two. He was even told Robins secret identity though Batman didn't approve. Of course he didn't really approve it for Wally either. Robin was a good enough judge of character.

He hadn't heard anything for weeks, almost a month. They usually at least checked in every week or so. They knew how paranoid he could get. He looked at the phone again and let out his breath. He picked up an arrow again and balanced it on his pointer finger, testing it. His eyes narrowed and he slammed it down into his quiver of arrows.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE TWO DOING?!" Roy snarled as he marched over to the phone and grabbed it. He dialed the numbers harshly into the phone. He used a special number that Robin had given him and Wally so they could all stay in touch. It allowed three way conversations from their phones to each other's only. Civvies or uniformed. He waited for someone to pick up. He waited through the first ring. The second.. The third... He didn't wait after that. He slammed the phone down hanging up. Why hadn't they called? Emailed. Texted. Skyped. Wrote. Air mailed. Bird messaged from a pigeon for all he cared! Something! He was beyond worried and beyond mad he'd crossed over into 'You'd better be dead or dying' mode. He grabbed his sweatshirt and his bow and arrows then proceeded to go find a certain bird boy.

But as he got to the door the phone rang. He grabbed the phone.

"Roy?" Robins voice was heard. He had left the team discussing the plan while he called Roy back.

"What the hell Dick?! You and Wally haven't called me in weeks what's going on? Did you both retire from being troublesome or something?!" Robin winced at his tone, he had a feeling he would be mad.

"No not exactly...actually I'm glad you called I could use some help." Robin said.

"What did you do now?!" Roy snapped really just worried.

"Well don't panic but-" Robin was interrupted by Roy.

"That's a terrible way to keep someone calm!" Roy said.

"Wow get turbed Roy, you're not feeling the aster." He said. Roy groaned, he would never understand why Robin decided to take the prefixes off words. "Anyway we have it under control and have a plan."

"A plan for what?!" Roy asked impatient.

"You haven't heard...? That explains a lot.." He heard Robin clear his throat. "Well it's a long story now...Wally's Dad got out of prison and he didn't take it well and ran off. The Joker got ahold of him to get me I assume. He sent a video showing Wally's death and then sent us the body. But it turned out the video and body were a fake. Wally is working as his apprentice. Wally had no choice because we thought he was dead and as a result we fell for a trick that gave all of us viruses that Joker could've killed us with. We got rid of them but now the league thinks he is a traitor and Flash thinks he's dead because Batman hasn't told him that he is working with Joker. They don't want us to help so we decided to rescue him under their noses." Robin said quickly. He held the phone away from his ear preparing for some yelling. He wasn't disappointed.

"WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME ANY OF THIS?!" He yelled.

"I thought you knew." Robin offered unhelpfully.

"Do you think I would be sitting here balancing my arrows if I knew?!" He snapped. "I'm coming right now!" He hung up and stormed out the door. Robin shrugged.

"Cool." He put the phone away.
