The Capitol: Reaping - Part One
President Crystal's POV
"Hello, my fellow citizens! Today, we shall choose the Capitolan children who will fight along with the District children in the Millenia Games!"
No cheering, only some very slow and unenthusiastic clapping. "We shall pick twelve girls and twelve boys, age 12-18, who will be trained for the same amount of time as the District tributes to whom they will be assigned to." The answer to that is silence.
"Let's start with the girl assigned to Caitlin Renee, the District One female tribute."
I walked to the bowl and picked a slip with a name: "Cynthia Icerose, 14!"A girl with dark violet hair in golden trousers and violet t-shirt walked slowly on the stage. She had tears in her eyes.
"The boy assigned to Jack Ewens, the District One male tribute is..."
"...Nero Blazebear!"
A plump boy with artificially whitened skin and chocolate brown curly hair walked on the stage, suprisingly smiling.
"Okay, you two go inside, and we shall continue with the girl assigned to Acaradis Killstreak: Nova Tradeleaf!"
A red-haired girl quickly hugged similar looking boy standing near her, ran on the stage and cheerfully bowed.
"And the boy assigned to Karmin Digger is Romulus Tradeleaf!"
The red-headed girl gasped as the boy she had just hugged walked on the stage and hugged her himself. "Sorry, sis. Seems like bad luck, don't you think?"
