Chapter 15

Sorry for taking so long everyone! School started again so I'm slow. But here is the new chapter! Hope you all like it!

When Robin put the phone down Batman's voice was heard over their communicators. "Gotham City Bank is being robbed. Get the Team ready and get down there." They all looked up and at each other, all of them thinking the same thing. 'Please don't be Wally.'

Meanwhile at the Gotham City Bank Wally had everyone on the floor while he was stuffing money into the bag. He had to stop, he had to find the will to stop. What if the team found out, what was he thinking?! Of course they'll find out they are probably on the way here right now! They have no idea what has happened! Who knows what he'll do to them. He has to stop! He thought as he tried fighting against his movements. No matter how hard he fought he still wasn't able to stop his actions. Finally he had the right amount of money that the Joker demanded and he grabbed it preparing to leave when he heard a noise, footsteps. He turned around to see everyone in the bank running out the doors. Luckily it wasn't part of his orders to stop any people unless of course it was the 'baby heroes' as Joker pointed out. Of course as luck would have it, it wasn't just people leaving. It was a team coming in, the very ones he was hoping wouldn't come. He didn't want to hurt his friends...and Roy?! No. No. No. No. Wally thought, he couldn't. No they were his family!

Robin looked at Kid Flash, "KF...put the money down." He said softly, he stared long and hard at Wally...something was different...something was off about him. He didn't have a good feeling. Wally remained stoic as he looked at the team though his mind screamed for his body to stop. For the machine to break down. ANYTHING! His mind screamed as he opened his mouth.

"My Master sends his regards." Wally said professionally as he went to speed past them. Robin suddenly pulled out his staff and put it in Wally's path causing him to trip. On any other occasion he could've dodged or was so fast he would've missed it completely but since he hasn't really had a decent consistent meal in awhile he was slower than usual and perhaps even less aware. Wally tripped over it and stood back up, "I've been given permission from my Master to fight you if you got in my way, you are now in my way." He said as he turned to them.

Artemis raised an eyebrow as she glanced at Robin thinking the same thing as him. Something was definitely wrong. Roy stepped toward him, "Kid we want to-" Wally began running in circles around the group. Robins eyes widened when he realized what he was doing, he'd never done this to them. In fact Wally never liked doing this to anyone. It freaked him out. Wally created a vortex as the oxygen started becoming thin making it harder to breath. Artemis fell to the ground gasping for breath. "W-Wally!" She gasped quietly black spots appearing in her vision. "Stop!" She gasped. Wally screamed at his body in his mind. No! Artemis! I have to stop please let me stop! I need to stop! I can't keep doing this! The team began falling to the ground. Robin tried reaching for a mask in his belt but he passed out before he could reach it. Soon after, Wally stopped. They were all unconscious or too weak to stop him. He looked down at them.

Artemis grabbed his ankle weakly and looked up at him. Wally looked her in the eyes, his face emotionless. "My Master sends his regards." He kicked her away and ran off. Artemis groaned and lost consciousness.

Wally ran back to the hideout where Joker was waiting for him there.

"Did you get the money?" Joker grinned.

"Yes, Master." Wally put the bag down as Joker opened it and looked at it, "Good prince." He grinned maliciously, "That machine was the best thing that happened to you." Joker said standing up. Harley came into the room as she looked at the bag of money.

"Mistah J! Look at all the money! You could buy a ton of those machines with all this!"

"Yes but that would kill the point of it if I bought everything now wouldn't it my little Harlequin." Joker said slightly irritated at her interruption. "You may go to your room Prince." He told Wally.

Wally nodded, "Yes Master." He left to his room. He couldn't get Artemis' face from his mind, she looked so betrayed...by him. He'd betrayed her. He'd never used that move. He hated it. It was horrible to suffocate, slowly lose oxygen. And he'd done it to his own family, to Roy, Dick...to Artemis. He hated himself. He didn't deserve their help, or their friendship. He was worse than a traitor, maybe Batman was right about him. He didn't deserve to be a hero. How could he fight villains if he couldn't even fight and win against his own body.

He had been trying to keep his head up through the whole thing, he never realized how hard this was going to be. He didn't realize all the people he would hurt. He needed to figure out what to do, he couldn't risk his friends safety. He had to get out of this one on his own.
