Well, here we are again with me apologizing for being slow but hey. That's life. I post when I can. I hope everyone has enjoyed the story so far and thanks for sticking with me. Now presenting chapter 16!

Chapter 16

Wally had fallen asleep in his chair inside his room when the door flew open. Naturally, there stood Joker and his pitiful little woman beside him. Wally internally groaned at the sight but his body was not his own. He stood up immediately. "Master."

"Ah good you're awake. I have another task for you. I want you to go to S.T.A.R Labs and grab me this vial. It has the chemicals I need to produce my newer version of laughing gas. Much more fun. I enjoy a good laugh don't yo-"

"I do too Mistah J!" Harley squeaked with excitement as she gave a small giggle beside of him. Joker snarled and grabbed on of her pigtails and pulled on it.

"HARLEY! I wasn't talking to you!" Harley whimpered and rubbed her head when he let go, she smiled sheepishly. Wally stood quietly as he watched though he really wanted to punch Joker. "Anyways...go get the vial would you? Only if you see any heroes you can just get rid of them. You know, kill them. They aren't part of the joke anymore. Kill all of them accept Batman and Robin. Don't go out of your way of course, only in they engage you will you kill them. Bring Robin to me if you do happen to engage them." Joker said as he turned to leave with Harley on his heels. "Go now."

"Yes Master." Wally took off, kill them...no. No this couldn't happen please they can't fight him. They can't he didn't-he couldn't- he just couldn't kill his friends...within the blink of an eye he was standing in front of S.T.A.R Labs. He knocked out the guards and took the vial before anyone even had the chance to raise their gun. Of course, life never went as planned.

On his way out of the building...there they were. His team, his friends, his family. Kaldur led the group. Artemis, Dick, Conner, Megan, and Roy. He'd apparently temporarily joined for Wally's sake. Wally wished he hadn't.

"Do not get in my way as I've been instructed to kill you if you intrude in my work." He said professionally and robotically. Roy shook his head, Wally was like his little brother but he couldn't allow him to get away with this.

"We aren't allowed to let you leave either." Roy said.

Wally's mind screamed in protest. "So be it." He charged at Roy his speed causing Roy to fly into the wall. He wished he could leave them unconscious. "No KF we have the virus out you don't have to do this anymore!" Artemis said. What? The virus was out? Joker couldn't kill them at whim anymore? But it was too late now...he seemed to ignore her as he went over to Roy. The team began their attacks. He threw them off just as quickly as they came. Robin hit a wall, couldn't kill him he was wanted alive. Aqualad hit a concrete pillar, Miss Martian had gone invisible. Superboy had been thrown into the wall. Zatanna was trying to concentrate to get spells going though she couldn't concentrate from the bump on her head from being punched and thrown into the floor.

"Miss Martian look into his mind! Tell him to stop!" Aqualad called.

"I can't do it to one of my friends!" Miss Martian said as she glanced at Wally.

"You need to do it for Wally!" Robin piped up, "Before we have to do something we regret." He said sadly. Wally was punching Roy. He knew he wasn't going to make it with the speed and strength of the punches. He couldn't stop. He felt a push at the back of his head causing him to pause.

"Wally?" M'gann's voice was heard in the back of his head. She suddenly appeared in his mind as if she was supposed to be there. A black shadowy figure held Wally complete immobile with his mouth coveted, the figure represented the horrible machine. He looked at her with sad, dull eyes. The figure grabbed hold of Wally and forced him to run at M'gann.

Miss Martian fell from her spot in the air and was barely caught by Superboy. "It's not Wally, he's being controlled by something." She said frantically.

Robin's head snapped up, "Oh no..." He remembered the break in. What was stolen...what it could do but it wasn't meant to be used on a hero. Not ever.

"We have to call for back up...I know what's controlling him and we can't stop it. We need back up. Call the justice league." Robin looked down. Wally had paused while his body recovered from his mind intrusion. Roy laid limp with Wally standing over him.

He looked at the team. "You are in my way." He began taking out each member of the team. For all he knew...Roy was dead. Or dying. Robin was trying to help him, he wished he could help him but in reality he was the reason he was like that. Artemis suddenly ran at Wally with her bow and arrow ready. Wally's eyes locked on Artemis. His body decided she was next. NO NO NO NO! Not her please no, not Artemis! His kind screamed in protest.

His body didn't care. He ran forward and grabbed her by her neck and slammed her into the floor. Artemis cried out.

"Wally! Stop!" She gasped out. He began punching her like he had done with Roy, bones were breaking. He knew it. He didn't notice the justice league had arrived. His mind was struggling. No. No. No. No. No. "No..." He said out loud. "No...!" Artemis eyes began to close.

"No, no, no." He muttered softly his body hesitating. He was speaking...actual words he wanted. "NO!" "NO!" Everyone was staring at the scene. Wally suddenly got off Artemis his body was still trying to fight his mind. "My body...my will." He muttered as he started shaking. "No, you can't have me.. You can't control me."" Wally screamed in his mind and out of his mouth. "NO!" He screamed loudly causing chills to run down everyone's spine as suddenly Wally collapsed onto his hands and knees. "ROY!" He heard Robin scream behind him. Green Arrow grabbed Roy and took him away as Batman took Artemis.

Sobs wracked Wally's body. The flash stood off to the side looking confused, he thought Wally was dead he was alive... He didn't know what to think.

Robin went over to Wally. "Wally..." He knelt beside of him.

"You know we have to take him in." Superman put his hand on Flash's shoulder, Flash nodded. He didn't want to believe what he saw. Superman went over to the two. "Robin we have to take him in."

Robin looked at him. "What?! You can't! He doesn't need questioned! He needs help! It wasn't him! It was a machine!" He said fiercely. Superman looked at him sadly.

"I'm sorry Robin." He took Wally gently but firmly and lead him out.
