Hello everyone! I was amazed at the shower of reviews from the Authors Note, I appreciated it all! Here is the long awaited Chapter 18!

Chapter 18

The Justice league sat in an intense meeting that lasted for hours. They were arguing about whether Wally's actions could've been prevented or not. They were confronted with the problem if Wally really was to blame.

Doctor Fate shook his head, "No. You are all looking through attachment to the boy not through facts. He committed the crime. He is a criminal and we cannot let that slide." He said seriously.

Flash shook his head and stood up furious, "He didn't have any control! You can't be angry at him or blame him for something that he couldn't control!"

Doctor Fate looked at Flash, "Wrong. He broke Joker's control over him. That was proven in the last battle which suggests that he could've broken that link at anytime had he tried hard enough."

Superman looked at Flash, "Flash, we know how close you are to Kid Flash but you also need to look through your feelings. Maybe it's best if you stepped outside." He suggested.

Wonder Woman stood up, "No. Flash is part of the justice league he has a right to a vote like anyone else."

Batman spoke up, "I've looked into this Wayne Tech helmet and its efficiency is unmatched. It had been tested impossible to break. The fact that Kid Flash did isn't a show of weakness that he didn't do it sooner. It was a sign of loyalty to the team."

"I agree." Black Canary spoke up. "When training him he was always loyal to the team, trying to cheer them up and make jokes. He rarely had a frown on his face and we can't punish him for making it through things most of us couldn't last through ourselves." A silence went through the room

"Lets take a vote then." Superman looked around the table. Many argued in favor of Wally really the only one who felt that the blame was completely on Wally was Doctor Fate. Most of the others were just conflicted but Black Canary and Batman's statements had swayed many.

After many hours the Justice League finished its decision. Batman went to Wally's cell. "It's been decided. You may stay on the team and continue patrolling with Flash but you are not allowed to do any solo missions for a month or so until we have determined there is no lasting effects." Batman took the collar off. Wally looked at him and didn't say anything.

Batman looked at him, "It's not your fault Wally. The League agrees you're not to blame." He said.

Wally just shook his head. "I'm not joining the team again. I'm resigning from it. I've caused enough damage."

"Don't make a rash decision." Batman advised. "Take a few weeks off, then decide how you feel. In the meantime I'm pretty sure your aunt and uncle would be glad to see you home."

Wally nodded. "Alright." He agreed. He stood up and looked at him. "I'll think about it." Wally went to leave the cave to go home.

Robin looked up, "Wally!" He went over to him, "I heard about the League's decision. I knew they wouldn't blame you." He smiled. "We have training tomorrow if you want to come get back into the habit." He offered.

Wally shook his head, "I don't think so Dick, I'm just going to head home." He shrugged and put his hands in his pocket.

Robin looked at him, "You're still with us though right? The team I mean?"

"Maybe." Wally said not really looking at his best friend.

"Maybe? What does that mean. Are you quitting?" Robin frowned.

"I don't know yet." Wally admitted.

Robin shook his head, "You can't. Look, I know things have been hard lately but you can't just stop. You're part of the team! Heck you helped create the team!" Robin said.

Wally clenched his fists, "No. I haven't been part of the team in months. I've done nothing but hurt everyone! Break their trust! Mess things up! I'm quitting before I make anything worse! They are all going to hate me when they wake up and I'm not going to stay and make it worse!" Wally snapped.

Robin looked taken aback as he looked at his friend. "Make it worse? Wally we weren't the same without you! Everyone was miserable! No one blames you! And you think running away from it will fix it?! That's stupid Walls! If you think you messed up so badly you should stay here and fix it instead of just leaving! No one blamed you, you're blaming yourself. We all missed you and we wanted you back! So a few of us got hurt in the process?! So what! That was a risk we were all willing to take to get you back and if you don't realize that then fine!" Robin snapped back and walked off to the med bay.

Wally shook his head and walked off though he couldn't keep Robins words from his head. He walked home.

Barry had went home after the meeting to talk to Iris. He hardly knew what to say at this point. So much had changed. He had to prepare her that Wally may not be the same boy he was when he left. Iris was of course welcoming and understanding but no one could've prepared either of them when Wally walked through the door.

He looked at them with sad, tired green eyes. Iris started crying as she grabbed Wally and hugged him close. Wally fell to his knees and Iris sat with him holding her nephew. "Wally." She kissed his head tears falling from her eyes. Barry sat by them and pulled them both into a hug.

Wally gasped through his tears. "I'm so sorry." He sobbed.

Iris shook her head, "Shhh. No it's okay. We love you." She held him.

Barry held his family tight in his arms happy they were all safe.
