Chapter 3: An egghead attack!
Nate lay on the ground clutching his right arm panting while Metal Sonic walked toward him. He had told Slick to take the pups and run while he dealt with Metal Sonic and Shadow Android. He had already destroyed Shadow Android with a chaos bolt but Metal Sonic seemed immune to his chaos powers. He had begun using his sword Ryu to fight and it seemed to work until Metal Sonic transformed into Metal Sonic 2.0. Nate fought valiantly but was at his end point when Metal Sonic snapped his right arm and threw him into a wall.
"Do you have any last words werehog." Eggman said from his pod.
Nate opened his mouth to speak when he felt an energy surge and a small golden ball smacked into Metal Sonic sending him into the pond.
"What the-" Eggman said only to gasp in shock at what he saw.
Nate looked over and gasped too.
Standing there in his Excalibur armor was a pup Sonic with a mini Caliburn clutched in his paw. "Leave my fwend awone egghead." he said stalking towards Eggmans pod.
"Sonic no!" Nate gasped trying to stand but his wounds were to severe.
"What trickery is this?" Eggman asked wide eyed.
"No trickery doctor." Slick said coming up with the other cubs. "Sonic entered his excalibur form to save his friend." "You are now facing the king of Camelot."
"His power is emmense! Eggman gulped starting to sweat. He turned his pod around and fled leaving the two scrapped robots behind.
"Nate you need a hospital." Slick said.
"No lets just head home." "I'll heal on my own." Nate growled standing up shakily.
The group headed home slowly due to Nate's injuries.
When they arrived Nate went to his room while Slick laid the cubs down for a nap."So much for a calm day at the park." he muttered.
