AN: Hey guys, I'm finally back again. Important announcement: I'm going to be changing my pen name (please read the note at the end for more details).

So I love this scene at the sports agency, but I really don't like this chapter very much (and this is not me fishing for compliments, I just didn't feel very inspired by any scene in this episode for some reason). But hopefully I'll have another one up tomorrow, if everything goes to plan.

Please review!

"What is it with professional sports? I mean even the agencies are on steroids." Castle said as they exited the elevator. Kate was too busy looking at all the pictures of famous sports stars to really care about the building itself, but he did have a point.

"Well Fox's client list is a veritable who's who of star athletes. Five percent of their endorsements and salaries, he could pay for half of lower Manhattan."

"Did you just use the word veritable?" Castle asked as the receptionist's desk finally came into view. Did her vocabulary really surprise him? Honestly, he'd been following her around for over a year now. She was thrilled that she could still surprise him; despite how well he'd read her just after they met, she was no open book, but really, he chooses to be surprised by her choice of words?

"Yes I did." She said matter-of-factly as she turned to look at him. His face was hilarious; he looked as if he was trying to etch an image into his mind forever. Kate was pretty sure that image was not one of the desk in front of them, but she figured if she ignored him, he would hopefully at least stay quiet. He didn't.

"Sexy," he stage-whispered from behind her.

She tried to stop herself from thinking about all the other words he would probably consider sexy, and of all the times she'd undoubtedly said them in his presence without her knowledge. That was a dangerous road; thinking about words he found sexy would probably make her think about other things he thought were sexy, and she didn't want to think about him and sexy. Him and sexy shouldn't even be near each other in her mind. And besides, she's was working. She was a professional, doing her job. The thought that Castle could distract her from that made her want a little revenge, so she carefully chose a word from her arsenal that she hoped would make him sweat. She really had no time for his games today, and a tease from her might at least get him to shut up for a while.

"You should hear me say fallacious." She could almost hear him smile, and she tried not to groan. That had definitely been one of her worst ideas to date. She could only imagine what he was picturing now. Hold on, she didn't even want to imagine. That was such a terrible idea.

AN2: Alright so here's the story (if you've already read my other story The Fall, then you already know all of this, but feel free to read it again). I'll be changing my pen name, hopefully tomorrow. Ideally my new one will be Lyndsey0334, but we'll see how it goes. I will PM anyone who's following me or my stories when it happens to try to minimize confusion. If you guys have any questions, PM me or put something in the reviews; I love hearing from you.
