Dream journal
Gajeel bolted up from the nightmare.
"Second time this week" he mumbled. Little hands held his bicep and Levy sat up with him.
"Is it that dream?"
"Yeah... It... It felt so real... Like I was doing it again." She wrapped her arms around his chest and kissed his forehead.
"It wasn't.." He rested his head in his hands.
"At one time it was... At one time I enjoyed it... At one time... I wanted to do it..." He rambled and she rubbed his back.
"It's okay."
"It's not fucking okay! Levy it's not! I don't give a fuck if you forgive me! It's never going to be okay!" He snapped and rested his head on her chest.
"It's just not.."
"I read once that if you write down your nightmares you won't have them again" she said softly as she stroked his hair.
"What?"
"Yeah... We'll I guess I should give you your present now." She said and crawled to the edge of the bed and leaned over.
"Nice... Teddy bear panties" he chuckled and she sat back up. She held out a box wrapped in red paper.
"Open it.. I was going to wait for your birthday but.. I think now would be better" she said and he took the box he opened it and pulled out a book.
"Hun... I'm not to big on reading." He said and she rolled her eyes.
"It's a dream journal... You write all your dreams in it and they'll always stay on the page.
"I don't want to remember all of them"
"You need too.. So you can teach others to learn from them" with that the two ventured to the kitchen in the dead of night and Gajeel started to write in the leather bound book. Half way into his dream he stopped and rubbed his eyes before dipping his pen again smearing ink on his face and continuing to write. Levy was asleep on his lap breathing softly. Gajeel dropped the quill as ink stained his skin.
Levy sat up and looked at the book. She blew on the ink to dry it and shut it before taking Gajeel's hand and leading him to the bathroom. She took off his clothes and kissed his ink stained mouth. He held her hips and they walked into the shower.
"I feel... Like I can't breathe" he whispered as she washed the ink down the drain. It was in the past. The ink was gone with the pain.
The memory still lingered yes but that was to remember different Gajeel.
