Levy was home on bed rest and Gajeel came into the guild early. He stomped over to Mira Jane and scowled.
"Where are Jet and Droy?" He hissed gripping the bag tightly in his fist. Not in the least shaken she pointed to the two at the job board.
"Should we take this one?" Jet tapped his chin as Droy shrugged.
"I wonder how Levy's feeling?" He thought.
"She's probably buried in a book about now... We should buy her a cake!" Hands landed forcefully on both of their shoulders.
"How about you come with me" Gajeel snarled and lead the now terrified men out of the guild.
Pantherlily's job that day was simple.
Keep Levy from the guild.
"Lily it's fine! I wanna see Lucy!"
"No you can't leave!" He said blocking the door.
"Lily this is ridiculous! Why can't I leave?"
"Because.." Pantherlily tried to think as fast as he could, "I'm not feeling well and I think I need belly rubs"
'Great lie, stupid!' He thought and she stared him down.
"Really?" She raised an eyebrow. He sighed.
"No... The truth is I think you've forgotten about me.." He sat down with a 'thump' and wrung his paws.
"Forgotten? Wha-"
"I mean your always with Lucy or Gajeel or your team... Now we don't even talk about books anymore! And I know I might just be being selfish but I need Levy cuddles too!" He said and let a few crocodile tears slip out from his cheeks then buried his face in his paws.
'Like she'd ever believe that load of-'
"Oh Lily!" She picked him up and hugged him tight.
"I'm so sorry! I had no idea you felt like this! Oh my poor Lily!" She scratched behind his ears and they sat down on the couch so she could rub his belly.
Well... This interesting. He purred lazily and stretched himself out on her lap.
"You'll keep it a secret right? I can trust you guys?" Gajeel asked nervously.
"Of course you can! We're Shadow Gear!" They did the pose and Gajeel nodded.
"I know we aren't buddy buddy... But really thanks for this... Even after all the shitty stuff I did to you..." Gajeel gripped the catalog tightly before giving it too Jet who stuffed it in his hat.
"Won't tell a soul" they parted ways and Gajeel was greeted with an interesting sight when he got home.
"Gajeel I think we need to spend more time with Lily... Or get him a goldfish so he won't be so lonely when we aren't here!"
"Uhhh" Pantherlily held a cup of kiwi juice and shrugged.
"Sure thing babe" he hugged her and gave a thumbs up to the Exceed which he returned.
And none of you are going to know what happens until... Hmmm
Christmas.. Maybe! Until then I will continue reading! I am almost finished with a book series you might like.. I hope! I'm glad you all believe in me!
