'Twas the night before Christmas!
Levy was sitting on the bar and everyone crowded around her. Wendy sat in the front row with a mug of hot chocolate in hand and Charle in her lap.
"Everyone here?" She asked as she flipped to the first page.
"Gajeel isn't!" Someone called out.
"He said he was gonna be late.. So start without him!" Droy said looking back at the door.
"Well okay... 'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house.." Her voice spun itself into a story and captured the guild's attention.
Outside however it was freezing cold and that's where the missing slayer was. He paced in the ally holding a little wrapped present.
"I can do this.. I've taken down guilds, hunted monsters, and fought Titania.. I can do this!" He said and stuffed the package in his pocket. He reached for the handle and took a deep breath.
"Okay... Now all you have to do is wait for the signal.." He watched a little potted plant in the window and waited.
Fuck she took a long time to read.. He adjusted his hat and tightened his belt.
Slowly the plant started to grow and a flower bloomed. A little blue flower. He slammed open the door.
"Merry Christmas to all! And too all a good night!" The guild stared at the usually menacing dragon slayer...
In a Santa suit.
Complete with a magic bag.
Levy's book dropped and the guild burst out laughing.
"Hohoho!" He picked up Romeo and laughed.
"And what would you like for Christmas little boy?"
"A new comic book!" Santa Gajeel reached into his bag and pulled out a comic book with dragons on it.
"Merry Christmas kid!" One by one me gave each of the guild member's a gift. He just gave Natsu his matches when he finally found his girl.
"Oh Santa! I thought you put me on the naughty list!" Levy giggled and he smirked.
"No no! You've been the best behaved girl in all of Earthland! And Santa Gajeel has a very special present for you." He kissed her and smiled. The guild got quiet in a matter of seconds.
"Um well Levy.. You are the most important person to me... You make me a better person... Without you... I don't know what would happen... So um... If you want... I.. I would... Geez..." He coughed and looked away blushing. Pantherlily gave him a thumbs up. Gajeel pulled the little wrapped Christmas gift and put it in her hands.
"Open it.." She looked puzzled for a bit until she opened it and found a blue velvet box.
"Gajeel?.. What" he opened it for her and she gasped. He got down on one knee and looked up at her hopefully.
"I ain't good with this stuff... But... Levy McGarden... Do you think you could ever be Levy Redfox?" Tear sprung to her eyes.
"Oh Gajeel! Yes yes! Of course I'll marry you!" He slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her with all his might. When they pulled away he roared as she laughed and held the ring to the light. It was a red diamond in the shape of a heart and the band was a black steel dragon.
"Oh Gajeel!" She wrapped her arms around his neck and he spun her around. The guild swarmed to congratulate them.
"Oh Jet... Droy!" Levy hugged the two crying men.
"Levy we're so happy for you!" Droy blew his nose and Levy laughed.
"Thanks for helping me pick out the ring" Gajeel clapped them each on the shoulder.
"Anything for a friend!" Levy was sobbing. She was overwhelmed with feelings of joy and warmth.
"I love you..." Gajeel said and hugged her close.
"I love you too... Santa Gajeel" she kissed him and he growled happily.
