We arrived at Garrow's in the middle of the night and told him of our predicament, and he agreed to let us stay until my leg gets better. The only thing that I was glad about is that my family wouldn't worry, because it was the birthday that I was going to spend with Father. I quietly watched my cousin and my little brother, surprised to notice that they acted like they were Garrow's son. But the longer that I watched Little Roran, the more that I wished I could tell him about... CRACK! I whipped around to see Roran holding a little white dragon, "Oh, My, Word!" I spluttered, "Roran you made it crack finally!"

He stared at me with astonishment and asked, "How did you know my name, and is this a real dragon?"

I sighed, "Alright Garrow told me not to tell you but you are my little brother, you used to call me Mainy. And yes that is a real baby dragon, wow he looks just like Aronormoro!"

Roran stared at me before he spoke again, "Aro...Wha? Who is that? Mainy... wow you look different."

I smiled and said, "Yes, I am a full fledged elf now. Aro-nor-moro was the first dragon to have a rider, him and his dragon created peace between elves and dragons. So what will you call the little bugger?"

He smiled and said, "Aronormoro, or Arrow for short."

I nodded my approval.

It took a long time before I fully recovered, staying well into spring. Vi helped them plant the crops while I patched up all of their clothes. But the men were surprised by us declining food. Garrow had gotten used to it, but the others were humans. Meat was part of their life, and seeing people who didn't eat meat was a shock for them. But it made the two of us feel better that we weren't using up much of their meager storage. As we packed up Roran slipped up to me, "I can't take care of a dragon. Could you, well, teach it how to behave and stuff? I'll come get it once I have enough money to start my own homestead."

How could I say no?

We entered Ellesmera under the cover of darkness seeing as we didn't need anyone to know about any dragon but Ema (the elves still didn't know about the ones that bonded with my siblings and cousin). And the poor Varden know of none beside Arya's egg. Once we arrived in the dragon sanctuary, we had to tie up and hide the talk your ears off hatchling. Man can that thing make noise, the weird thing is that it can't speak in your mind but out loud is no problem.

Everyone is asking why we were late, so we told them about our interesting fall. They all went beserk of course, saying stuff like, "You could have been captured, or worse, killed!"

Well, until I told mom that it was the other way around, being killed was better than being with Father. That made everyone laugh. Arrow became a major handful, I started wanting to seriously cage him up at night just so that everyone could sleep. But after a couple months I started to miss the kind girls who assisted me at the capital. Father would prefer the word "maids" but I'm not that cruel. I will definitly miss sweet Murtaugh, I'm not the lovey type, but I definitely think I'm in love with him. Mom advised to wait for a couple years and see how he will end up before saying anything to him. She wants to make sure I got the choice that she didn't get. After getting that advice, I decided to go talk to Grandfather. He smiled when he saw me and said, "Ah, Memory, so good to see my little rider."

He has called me that ever since Ema hatched. Good Morning Grandfather Ebrithil. He smiled as he heard my formality. Thats when I saw the book of prophocies. Grandfather why do you have the book of prophecies? He handed it to me, "Because I am studying all prophocies of female riders and one almost fits you, read it."

The Defeat of The Tyrant

(Yin/Yang prophecy)

The rider will be born on the wane of the year

She will be of his seed

Her companion blends in at Du Welenvarden

She will have twin swords

One Yin, the other Yang

In the forest the disappear

She will have siblings, eight in all

She does not wish to be a rider

She wishes to be an animal doctor

But she has four ancestors as riders

It is in her blood

She will kill him as he laughs

At her while she is 20 years old

When I finished reading the prophecy, I started at in in shock, completely numb in the brain after reading the road map of my life. But I smiled, looking at the names of my to-be swords. Well, Yin and Yang aren't going to make themselves. And I need something to do before I go with Arya.

While I was waiting for Arya to return to Ellesmera, I started learning how to make stuff from Rhunun. It was really difficult, because she had to get in my head to teach me how to make swords. Why did she make that stupid vow? But then I learned that I was going to have an even harder time making Yin and Yang. To make a rider's sword, I would need a precious metal, Starmetal. But finding it wasn't going to be easy.

From the time that Rhunun told me about the metal from the sky, my family helped me search during our spare time. It took months before we found it, but it was well worth the wait. There was enough to make ten swords. First I made Yin and Yang, Yin was long, skinny, and VERY sharp. While Yang was fat, short, and dull (I made it first, it would make an interesting shield). Since my siblings are at the hollow mountain, they wont have their swords until they arrive here on the 14th of September. They are all perfect! Rhunun was very impressed that I did it right for my first time!
