SingingCupcake: I haven't decided completely on exact details(i.e. direct flashbacks vs. mentions) but there will definitely be more development about it.

Scene's initially alarmed when she's awakened the next morning by the sound of someone knocking on the door to her apartment. She yawns, and pulls herself out of bed. She walks over to the door, opens it, and is shocked to find Intern 2.
"H-hey." He says. "It's Sunday." Scene nods skeptically. Not of Sunday, but that he still wants to go to church with her. That he'd know she does. Nevertheless, she motions him inside and goes to get ready. When she's done, Intern 2 is on his phone. He glances up as she walks out of the bathroom, and just smiles at her presence.
Scene sighs, then displays a smile. "Ready to see your old friend?"
The entire ride is quiet in Intern 2's car, and as they pull up to the church, Scene lets out a sigh. This is not how she felt on Monday about seeing Alfred at church. She gets out, and the familiar red-haired man waves at her. Intern 2 walks slightly behind Scene, not taking his eyes off his old friend.
"It's so great seeing you here, Norma!" Alfred says, then turns to Intern 2. "Ah, Melvin. It's been too long!" He hugs Intern 2, who, after a second, hugs him back. "Norma told me you were in a car accident."
"Yeah, just got my cast off yesterday." Intern 2 replies. Alfred is still grinning with joy, and Scene, just being around him, feels happier. Intern 2 sighs, and says; "Listen, Alfred, we kind of fell out, but I'm not even sure why. What do you say we put all that behind us and start new as adults?" Scene smiles again at the notion of moving forward with these two people in her life.
"Sounds great." Alfred says. "I guess it's a good thing Norma started working at the print shop a few years ago, otherwise we might have never met up again." Scene closes her eyes momentarily against the painful reminder of why she knows Alfred, why she got a different job. As the three go in together, she links elbows with Intern 2, and sits in between him and Alfred, soul dancing for reasons she does not know.
After the service, Alfred and Intern 2 exchange their numbers and Intern 2 gives him the business card of the Acid Factory. Intern 2 and Scene return to his car, and Scene starts playing music, but Intern 2 turns it down.
"You seem quite happy." He says.
"It's hard to not be happy around Alfred." Scene replies honestly.
Alone in her apartment as Intern 2 returned home to do paperwork, Scene thinks back on what Alfred said, how she'd never have met him and, by extension, Intern 2 never would have made up with his old friend, had MyMusic not ended. Adding onto that, she and Intern 2 might never have fallen for each other.
She never would have trusted him.
The thought still makes her uncomfortable. Trusting has never been her strong point. She puts her hand on her lower back, where when she was eleven and living with her first foster family, bruises were common. Remembers how her older foster brother would comfort her when the adults did it, but show up at home drunk and do the same. Her real parents promising that second grade in the new school, nothing would go wrong. Yeah. Okay.
She lets out a breath and lies down on the couch. Pushes her past behind her. After all, that's what Alfred and Intern 2 are doing. She nods and decides she's done with worrying about trust.
It's time to move forward.
