Chapter 7

(With Celty)

The sound of her horse was all Celty could hear as she sped the streets of Ikebukuro. She was on the way to deliver a package to a new client, it had taken her awhile to find the address because the person who gave her the job gave her round about directions to the location. The package itself was as big as a small laptop, she wouldn't be surprised if the package was a laptop. She held the package carefully as he drove into the more quiet part of Ikebukuro. She had drove up to a building that looked like a business complex. Celty checked the address and got off of her motorbike. "This seems like the place." She thought to herself. Her mind though kept wandering to what happened back at the apartment. 'Did I really know Arthur from my past? Is it really possible I found a connection to my life before meeting Shinra? Before I lost my head?' She internally sighed as she made her way to the elevator.

As she made her way towards the room she was supposed to go to she walked passed a pair of tall men who both wore scarves.

"-etter plan if you want to catch Comrade Prussia, Lars."

"We could have caught him if you had helped me, Ivan."

"Would breaking his legs a dragging him back satisfy you if I did?"

She heard a snippet from the duo's conversation and shivered before turning the corner and walking to a room at the far end of the hall. Celty had to check the room number and knocked hopefully loudly enough for the occupants to hear.

"Coming!" Celty heard a woman's voice say as she took her PDA out. A woman with brown hair and a pink flower in her hair answered the door. She was dress in a formal suit top and formal skirt. "Oh the package is here. Roddy, do you want me to sign off for you?" She called over her shoulder and a man wearing a suit with purple eyes and brown hair with a curl sticking up came out of the bathroom and walked over.

"Its fine, Elizabeta. I've got it."

Celty typed out on her PDA and showed it to the man. "Are you Roderich Edelstein?"

"Yes. I am." He signed a paper she had showed him and fixed his glasses, before taking the package. "Thank you. Would you like to see what it was that you delivered to us?"

Celty tilted her helmet to the side a bit and nodded.

(Later in the morning, in the hotel the countries were staying at)

Romano slammed open his door and stomped his way across the hall to Spain's room. He stood in front of the door for a second then knocked before barging in.

"Oi, Spaniard. Wake up. We need to find out what happened to my Fratello (Brother). Did you know that he still hasn't come back to our room yet? Dammit, he better not be dead. The bastard." He was pacing the room as he worried and cussed at his brother, waking up Spain with his ranting.

"Roma, Calm down. Feli's probably just with Germany..." Spain stated, yawning and sitting up from the red silk bed.

"Damn Fratello, He knows to call in if he gets lost. HE KNOW'S TO CALL ME!" Romano yelled to himself ignoring the green-eyed man as he got up and changed into his uniform.

Spain sighed and smiled, "If you're that worried we'll go out and look for him." Spain said hugging the freaking out Italian, who punched him when he didn't let go.

Romano stood up and walked to the door. "Hurry up then, tomato bastard." He opened the door and walked out. Suddenly he accidentally ran into someone as he took a step out and fell back into the room. "Tch...Ow."

"Hey. Careful where you're going, Lovino." Netherlands stated helping the other up by pulling on his arm. "Where you going in such a rush?"

Romano huffed, "I'm going out to find my idiot of a Fratello." he stated as he brushed himself off.

"Good luck with that, comrade." Romano looked to the right and Russia was standing there.

"HOLY CRAPOLA!" Romano hid behind the Dutch man. "How long have you been standing there, you bastard?!" He yelled at the Russian.

"He's been there the whole time, Roma." Spain appeared at the doorway, smiling. Netherlands didn't even look at the man, and started to walk away again.

"Bye, comrades." Ivan smiled and walked after Lars. "Oh, and we saw Gilbert earlier yesterday. He's really changed." Ivan looked back with a straight face and looked right into Antonio's eyes. "You plan to bring him back to himself, do you plan to bring yourselves back to your old ways as well? Lars really wants to get the Prussian back, so he can get paid. I want to find comrade Prussia, too. For my own reasons." After that Ivan turned around and smiled even though they couldn't see it. "Bye, comrades." The Russian followed the Dutchmen down the hall.

Antonio and Lovino stood there and stared at Ivan and Lars's backs until they turned a corner and were out of sight. Romano looked to his right at Spain, who had a dark straight face unlike his usual smiles.

"Spain...SPAIN...ANTONIO!" Romano slapped the frozen country when he didn't respond.

"Huh..? Oh Roma." Spain smiled a fake smile. "Sorry, I spaced out."

"Uh huh..." Romano turned around and started to walk down the hall, the Spanish man followed after him with a serious face.

(At Shinra's house)

Shizuo woke up on a familiar hospital bed in Shinra's house. He wiped his eyes and looked around, he looked to his left and noticed Ludwig was sleeping on the chair next to his bed. 'Why did this guy stay with me the whole night?' Shizuo thought as he sat up and was about to get out of bed, but the bed creaked.

Ludwig's eyes opened wide, when he heard the noise, and pulled out a gun. Shizuo stared at the other blonde's surprise.

"Morning." Shizuo mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck.

The stunned blonde put the gun back in his uniform and sighed. "Good morning." Ludwig said back, as he closed his eyes and pushed his loose hair back.

Shizuo stared at the other as if he grew a third head. Ludwig opened his eyes and noticed the other was staring at him. "What?"

"Did you bring me back here? Why?" Shizuo stated blankly.

Ludwig sighed. "Because I felt like I had to."

Shizuo tilted his head to the side. "What?"

"I just felt like I had to. Alright." Ludwig stated as he pinched the bridge of his nose to make his headache go down.

"What the hell do you mean, you just felt you had to?!" Shizuo yelled, but stopped when he noticed..."Wait? How did you even know where I-...You guys followed me. Didn't you?" Shizuo stated glaring at the other.

"Ja. But for good reason, your friend asked us to... He's a good man, a good ally." Ludwig stated. "He told us where you would go. I'm sorry for following you, but we had to make sure you didn't do something stupid."

Shizuo's eye twitched. He grabbed a pillow and was right about to throw it at him, but stopped and just hugged the pillow to his chest instead. "Tch, its fine. Just don't mess with the grave, okay."

Ludwig nodded. "What were you doing anyway?"

Shizuo smiled into the pillow. "It's just something we do, to remind each other that we still remember. I do that all the time, by the way. Y'know the flowers and pudding. It got so bad I went twice a day once to check the grave. I enjoy doing it." He said not looking at the German's face and looked at a spot on the floor like it was the most interesting thing ever.

Ludwig nodded, "Ja, it looked like you were." He looked at the ceiling. "Why do you leave a pudding cup though? It's just going to spoil."

Shizuo smiled softly. "But it doesn't."

"What?"

"It never goes bad." Shizuo restated.

"How is that possible?"

"It sounds weird but..." Shizuo smiled childishly. "Someone eats it, of course."

(Outside the door)

"Someone eats it, of course." Alfred was walking by when he heard Shizuo's happy sounding voice.

"Wonder what they're talking about..." He walked to the kitchen and waved at everyone who was sitting at the table. "Morning guys! The hero's here." He pouted when he saw England and Japan roll their eyes.

"Morning, Alfred." Shinra said walking in from the kitchen with a coffee mug in his hand.

"Oh yeah, Shinra, can I use your phone?" Alfred asked the underground doctor. "I need to call my brother."

"Sure, it's in the hall." Shinra said pointing at the phone.

"Thanks, man!" America smiled. He walked over, picked up the phone then dialed his brother's number.

"H-hello?" Canada's quiet sleepy voice said on the other side.

"Mattie, It's me. Hey, I forgot my phone in my bag. Tell the others that, Arthur, Kiku, Ludwig, and I won't make it to the meeting. Okay?" Alfred asked.

"Sure, I'll tell them. Wait, who is this again? Who are you calling for?" Canada asked yawning.

"I swear are you drunk on maple syrup again? Dude, Alfred...Y'know-" Alfred took a double take to make sure no one was looking or listening. "America." He whispered.

"Okay, I'll tell Alfred you said hi. Bye."

Alfred heard the dial noise and put down the phone. He shrugged, he'd just call back later to remind him. He walked back to the table and sat down.

"Hey, where'd Shinra go?" Alfred asked the others.

"Kishitani-san said he needed to do something." Kiku answered.

"Oh..." Alfred said grabbing a piece of toast.

(With Shinra)

"Hmm...There is something Alfred and his friends are hiding." The underground doctor mumbled putting down the other home-phone. "And I intend to find that out." He heard knocking and walked over to the door, smiling at the headless fairy standing there.

"Shinra, the others were starting to get worried. I went to go see where you were." Celty typed and showed to him. "Find anything out?"

"No nothing yet." Shinra smiled and looked at the Dullahan. "You care what I'm doing. Aw, I feel so loved, Celty!" He hugged the woman but got jabbed in the stomach. "L-..Love y-you too..." He coughed and stood straight. "Let's go see the others." He smiled a smile that in his mind was as fake as his father was insane.

(With Romano and Spain)

"So, how are we going to find my Fratello?" Romano stated as they walked out of the building and down the street.

Spain shrugged. "Want to just go walking around looking for him? They couldn't have gotten that far." He smiled and looked ahead of them. "Hmm?" He saw a person, wearing a white coat with black fluff on it, walking across the street. Spain shrugged and looked back at Romano, thinking nothing of the person. He smiled as the Italian went on about how his brother was an idiot.

As the person with the white coat walked by, Antonio saw flash of red eyes and a familiar smile beneath the hood for a second and stopped walking. He turned around quickly but the person wasn't there. Spain looked at the ground for a second as a single tear rolled down his face.

"Antonio?" Romano stopped and looked at the frozen Spanish man. "What's wrong?"

Spain sighed and looked up at Romano with glassy eyes and a smile on his face. "It's nothing, Lovi. It's nothing." The smile on the Spanish man's face was wavering.

Romano frowned, but nodded. "Well, come on then." He started to walk again.

Spain looked back one more time, then followed after the cooled down Italian. Not knowing a certain pair of red eyes were watching them both from the roof above them.

"Do you want to live forever? Isn't that what you asked, old man?" the whispered statement that was never heard.

(With Ludwig and Shizuo)

The two laughed as Ludwig told Shizuo a story about Gilbert back then, never telling the date or other important information. Shizuo smiled, true smiles for the first time since he beat up that group of people controlled by Saika. The two turned when they heard knocking and looked up at Shinra who was knocking on the side of the wall smiling.

"Breakfast is in the kitchen if you guys want some." Shinra stated and from behind him Celty hit the back of his head. "Ow Celty. Fine. Shizuo, I'm sorry for telling them where you'd be." Shinra added.

"It's fine." Shizuo stated, with a grin. "Just don't do it again. Plus this guy isn't that bad when you get to know him."

"Oh and Shizuo, uh...My dad's visiting." After Shinra said that he left. Shizuo stared at the door for a minute and Ludwig stared at his reaction trying to gauge what he should and shouldn't do. He decided to ask.

"What's so wrong with Shinra's dad?" Ludwig asked.

"He's crazy, an idiot, he doesn't know when to stop, he's annoying, he tries to dissect me every time I see him...should I go on?" Shizuo sighed and laid back on the bed. "I should call Tom, I'm not going to come in to work today. I'm not in the mood to deal with those guys. I might just accidentally kill them."

(With Italy)

"Ve. Thank you for letting me stay at your place, Mikado!" Feliciano stated as he hugged the blue-eyed teen.

The other smiled awkwardly. "Uh...I-It was no problem really. So why were you out there all alone a-anyway?" He stuttered a few times which he noted but kept calm.

"Huh? Oh! We were looking for Gilbert. And I was running after Ludwig and then I got lost..." Feliciano's voice drifted off as he thought more.

"Oh, I know someone that could help you better than I can. But-..." Mikado froze as he thought of the red-eyed informant. 'Maybe this is a bad idea...'

Feliciano perked up when he heard the younger teen. "Really? Ve, Ludwig will be so happy if I find his brother." He laughed to himself and leaned closer to the smaller teen. "Who is it? Per Favore (Please), I have to know!"

Mikado hesitated but told the other about the black-haired, red-eyed informant named, Izaya Orihara. He even called Celty and told her to drop him off at his office. Before he left, Feliciano told Mikado thank you and that he'd make him pasta one day. Mikado just smiled and waved as they sped away.

Mikado sighed, "Oh gosh, what did just I do? I just made someone innocent like Feliciano meet someone like Izaya..." Mikado placed a hand on his forehead, before flipping his phone open.
