In their pare time it feels like all of the others are constantlypracticing with their swords, leaving me to deal with everyday matters when I was at home. That included playing the maid and cleaning every single room in our home. Some weren't that bad, like Arget's. But cleaning the healing room, Hugin's or Ennai's felt like a punishment. Not only were they completely disgusting, but no matter how long I cleaned them, it didn't even look like I touched the room. Hugin's was a mess due to his 'secret' passion for eating meat. Like a dragon. Ennai horded everything known to living beings, and left it in her room to rot.

After a couple weeks of cleaning their less-than-sanitary conditions, I banned them from their rooms until they could live like elves. After the banishment, my cleaning became easier due to the fact that the mess didn't build back up while I was busy elsewhere. It took me and Arget two weeks to purge out the two rooms, and the stench of each of them.

It took almost half of the year for either of them to actually break their habits. Ennai managed it in five months, and Hugin took seven. But the rest of us were finally relieved of dissuading company from coming over. Now we had no reason to be ashamed of having people seeing how we lived.

The night before my next trip with Arya, I woke up from a dream in a cold sweat. I sat in my bed for over an hour before my pulse slowed. But by then, I couldn't remember what had terrified me so bad. But what scared me even more was the face that I never dreamed without my dream coming true. Which meant that pretty soon, I would be that scared again.

It didn't take very long before I found out what my dream had been about. On our way to one of the elven cities, we were attacked by the first Shade that I had ever seen. I fled before anyone could get to me, my only concern about warning the queen about the possible theft of the egg. Plus if I was caught, the Varden would be doomed. I knew too much of all branches of the Varden, and I knew about something that not even Uncle Ajihad did. The hatched dragons. I raced away, hoping that the Shade didn't have a good look at me, because my elf half looked like Mom.
