The general kept his end of the bargain, and we told him where we want to go, so he sent us away to Massachusetts. He gave us a chopper lift to Boston. We got on the helicopter, but twilight, being from a different world, didn't know what a helicopter was and was a bit frightened by it. We had to convince her it was safe, but the whole ride she was shaking. The general gave me a marine's uniform in replace of my armor so that I can blend in as a regular person now. The helicopter ride from Arizona, or... The badlands, was a bit long, though flying over everything made me a bit nostalgic. We didn't really say much, we didn't feel like having to yell over the sound of the helicopter. Me and Derek remained silent and looked out the windows next to us. Twilight ended up relaxing and it wasn't long before she fell asleep and rested up against my shoulder.
When we finally arrived in Boston we landed on the helipad and the pilot said there was someone waiting for us to take us where we want to go. I woke up twilight and we made our way into the Boston airport. Twilight was even more freaked out by all the technology around her, and was very uncomfortable around all the people. All the while she was shy and scared, she also seemed very interested in everything too. I led her along through the crowds of people with Derek behind me, and twilight kept clinging to my arm. She seems to have gotten used to her body, more or less, and didn't seem too strange, just shy. It wasn't too long that we got to the entrance of the airport and found a man in a tux with a sign that had my name on it. We introduced ourselves to the man and he greeted us. He then led us outside and showed us a limo taxi that the general ordered us. We got in and twilight seemed rather nervous, but very interested in the car we were in.
"So where too?" Asked the driver. "Your friends paid me to take you anywhere in Massachusetts... So where to?" He asked.
"Roxbury, we aren't sure where exactly, but I'll be able to point you in the right direction once we're there." Said Derek.
"Right-o." He said closing the window between the driver and the passengers and the car started moving and twilight jumped. The car pulled out and we were on our way out of Boston, slowly though, because there was traffic. Twilight kept her eyes glued out the window at all the cars passing by and all of the large buildings and vehicles. I watched her and she looked at all the buildings with awe, she was rather adorable, like a small kid seeing the world for the first time. She looks just like a normal person, except for the purple hair and eyes, but it guess people just think that she's dyed her hair or put contacts in.
"Wow... Crimson, this world is amazing." She said.
"You should try and call me by my real name." I said to her.
"Oh... Sorry, Alex." She said.
"Its fine, I'm sure that all of these things like cars and planes and tall buildings are probably freaking you out." I said. "But you'll get used to it."
"They're amazing, it is a bit overwhelming... But it's amazing." She said. "Your world's culture is so much more advanced than ours... And you built this all without any magic... Amazing." She said. "Your kind are very resourceful."
"I suppose we are... But we've got our own problems too." I said.
"Yeah, we've got plenty of problems." Said Derek still looking out the window.
"So how does this... Uh...thing, work?" Asked twilight gesturing to the car.
"Well... I don't know much about mechanics... But it's a motorized cart." I said. "It runs on a train engine... But more advanced, and instead of using coal it uses a natural fuel called gasoline. It's a motorized wagon basically... It's a machine, this world is full of them."
"That's amazing. And those planes that we saw back there. They look very heavy, yet they can fly." She said.
"There's a lot of things in this world that I can't really explain too well, but it was all built by science and stuff." I said.
"I think I'll adapt." Said twilight smiling and looking back out the window. From there the trip to Roxbury didn't take any more than two or three hours. Once we finally arrived into the small town we looked out the windows at the town. Derek smiled as memories must have started filling his head back up. There were tons of shops and people walking around as well as corner stores and gas stations. There was a church, and a bank next to the town hall, and Derek told the driver to take a left onto one of the back country roads. We started making our way down the back roads of Roxbury which had lots of farmland and houses. Derek told the driver to slow down and he did.
Derek led the driver around the roads until he told him to take a sudden turn into a driveway. The driver took the turn and he pulled up into the driveway of a large house with horse fields behind it. The house was a brown house with black shutters and gutters. It was a large two story house with a well in the front yard and solar panels covering the roof. The car stopped and Derek smiled and opened the door. I opened the other door and helped twilight out. We stood by the car and Derek thanked the man before he pulled out and drove away. We stood there and looked up at the large house.
"Is this the place?" I asked.
"It is, and it still looks like it's mine." Said Derek. I looked towards twilight and she had her eyes glued on something behind the house. I looked over and saw that she was staring at a group of horses out in the horse fields to the side of the house. It must be strange for her to see real life horses.
"What are those... Are they ponies?" Asked twilight.
"In that world they're called horses." I said. "I figured that you must be a bit freaked to see them. And I guess its strange seeing as how they're nothing like you are."
"Wow... They look so different." She said. "They don't have any wings or horns... Or bright colored fur or cutie marks." She said.
"In this world horses down have those kinds of things, they're just bland colored earth horses." I said. "They also can't really talk either... They aren't as advanced as you were in your world." I said.
"This is all so strange." She said.
"In this world, humans are the dominant species, were the only ones with advanced social skills and the ability to speak a noticeable language." I said.
"Huh..." She said.
"Hey... Over this way." Said Derek signaling us over. We turned our attention away and walked over to him who was standing on the front porch. Twilight took one last glance before walking over to join us. The front door was on the other side of the driveway but Derek had walked up to the porch by the front lawn where there was a large sliding glass door looking into the house. The inside was hidden away by curtains so we couldn't see inside.
"The front doors locked isn't it?" I asked.
"Yeah... But I've had the location of the spare key burned into my mind... I know where it is." He said. He walked over to a sign hanging up next to the sliding glass door which read "Jones". He pulled the sign off the wall and looked on the back and smiled. On the back of the sign was a key tapped down with duct tape. He pulled the tape off and grabbed the key. He put the sign back and gestured us to follow him as he walked off the porch. He walked his way over to the door and stopped in front of it. He slid the key into the lock and turned it, the lock then clicked and the door popped up and Derek smiled. He opened up the door and we walked in and looked around. The house was huge and we walked into a small entry hallway. There was an opening to the right which opened up into a living room with a fireplace and sectional facing a large TV. There was a staircase that lead upstairs and a doorway that lead to a kitchen with a fridge and cooking range. To the left was a study with a computer and some bookshelves. The room right next to that was a bathroom and then a dining room by a door which I assume lead to the cellar.
"There are three bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms. The bathroom upstairs has a shower and bath so if you guys want you can take a shower later on. I'll need to turn on the heat, but it should be fine later. The house is probably shut down, so I'll go down and turn on the water and power. Said Derek walking over the cellar door and opening it up. I reached for a nearby lights witch and flicked it a few times, but nothing happened. Derek went downstairs with a flashlight and twilight and I walked around. We walked into the kitchen and looked around. I walked over to the fridge and opened it up but there wasn't anything in there, which is probably a good thing since it would have rotted into nothing by now. I checked a few of the cupboard and one of them was full of nothing but canned goods which is good since now we have some perishable food.
"The kitchen here looks just like ones that we have in Equestria... Although, that's a pretty fancy looking fridge." Said twilight.
"Yeah, our kitchens look pretty similar." I said. "There are a few things in this house that might interest you." I said.
"In Equestria most of these things run on magic, like ice magic for the fridge, or fire magic for the stove..." She said. "What does stuff use in this world?" She asked.
"We use electrical power." I said. "It's not magic, but we have places that generate electricity and those large poles with the black wires hanging from them transport that electricity and give it to people's houses." I said. "But this house has solar panels, which take energy from the sun and turn it into electricity."
"Wow, I can't believe everypony here gets that kind of power." She said.
"Oh, that reminds me... If you're going to be here you should speak like us too, normally it's fine, but it's the small things that are strange." I said.
"Like what?"
"Well... You can't say things like anypony, everypony... You have to say everyone and everybody... Or anybody." I said. "And you aren't a horse anymore... So you don't have hooves, you've got hands now, with fingers. And legs with feet and toes. Also you have to wear clothes now..." I said.
"Oh... Alright." She said. "Why do you humans have to wear clothes all the time?" She asked. "Is it because of these?" She asked grabbing her breasts and squeezing them. I just blushed and looked away. She was actually well endowed to my surprise. "These things feel funny, and they're all squishy... It's kinda fun." She said smiling and squeezing her breasts.
"You, uh... Can't do that in public... Or in front of other people." I said.
"Oh... Sorry." She said letting go of herself. "So it is because of these."
"Yeah... And other things." I said still blushing.
"Hmm..." Said twilight walking into the living room and looking around until she glued her eyes on the huge plasma screen TV. "Hey... What's this?" She asked looking at it. "It looks like a big fancy picture frame."
"That's kinda what it is." I said. "It's called a television... Humans use it to entertain ourselves, or learn about the news." I said. "You turn it on and watch it, it's like a moving picture with sound." I said. "Like reading a book almost, instead of reading something you can actually just watch what's happening." I said. "And instead of a newspaper you can watch people tell you about current events and even the weather forecast."
"Wow... That's amazing!" She said getting excited. "Can we turn it on?" She asked excitedly.
"We have to wait for Derek to turn the power on." I said. "He should be done soon, when he is we can turn it on... There are a lot of things in this world that you might like, plus they're all pretty interesting."
"This world is exciting... I wish that both humans and equestrians could live in the same world and share the same things." Said twilight.
"You underestimate us humans and our ability to cause trouble... We can barely get along with ourselves... But I suppose that if both species were to join, I suppose there could be peace, but there might be a few complications before that happens... And it might be best just to let both worlds be separate." I said.
"You may be right." Said twilight. Just before I was about to speak a light suddenly turned on in the hallway.
"I GOT IT!" Shouted the muffled voice of Derek who was down in the cellar.
"Looks like the powers on." I said. I turned off the light in the hallway and then turned on the light in the kitchen which was rather dark. I smiled and walked back into the living room with twilight.
"So can you turn on the moving picture thing?" She asked. "What's it called again?"
"It's called a and yes, I can turn it on. I said walking over to the TV. I pressed a power button on the back of it and the TV flickered to life and chimed a little to signal its awakening. Then once the SONY logo vanished from the screen it popped over to the Chanel five news. Sound came out and there was a news reporter and an anchorwoman talking about a recent shooting in downtown Worcester. Despite the grim news twilight was in awe to see the TV. She kept her eyes glued on it and smiled as Derek made his way up from the basement. He walked up and found us in the living room.
"Great... You've shown her the TV..." He said sarcastically. "Do you have any idea what that will do to her mind... She'll get obsessed with it... Look at how she just stares at it." He said gesturing to twilight who stared at the TV with a smile on her face.
"Wow, it's like they're actually here with us." She said.
"Don't worry..." I said chuckling. "She's just excited and she'll get used to it."
"Twilight why don't you have a seat, it's starting to get late now... So I'll make some dinner and we can eat." I said walking into the kitchen and opening up the pantry with all the canned food in it.
"There wasn't any food in the fridge...right?" Asked Derek.
"Thankfully no." I said. "Hmm let's see... There are a bunch of cans in here, beef ravioli, and chunky beef soup." I said.
"What's beef?" Asked twilight.
"Uh... It's meat." Said Derek to which twilight shivered.
"What animal does it come from?" Asked twilight.
"Cows..." I said. "You probably won't eat it... And I can figure that. I guess it's easier to give up eating meat than it is to start eating it."
"Speaking of meat." Said Derek. "With all that money the chief gave you, we would be able to stock the house for a couple years." Said Derek. "So we should head out to the store tomorrow and get some food, more specifically meat... Lots of meat."
"I'm feeling the same way." I said. "We'll have to get some food for twilight though, unless you want to try and eat some meat... But probably not." I said.
"Well... What does it taste like?" She asked.
"I can't really explain... It just tastes like beef... Like how apples taste like apples." I said.
"Alright... I think I might pass." She said.
"Well... There isn't much in here that doesn't have any meat in it. Unless you want to eat a whole can of corn, or mushrooms.
"Uhm... I don't really like mushrooms all that much." She said.
"Uhh...let's see." I said. "Oh, there's some packs of ramen..." I said.
"R-ramen?" She asked.
"It's pasta..." I said.
"Oh..." She said. "That sounds good."
"Except its beef flavored...of course." I said sarcastically.
"Uh... I'd rather not then." She said.
"Well... It isn't made with beef, it just taste like it." I said.
"Uh... Well." She said.
"I can't really find anything else twilight... Sorry." I said.
"In this world vegetarians don't usually have much choice in meals, most of our foods here have some kind of meat in them." Said Derek.
"I guess I'll try the pasta... I think it'll be fine as long as it doesn't have any actual meat in it." She said.
A bit of time passed by and I started working on dinner. Chunky beef soup for me and Derek and beef ramen for twilight. I cooked up the food and made twilights dinner and by the time I was done at least a half hour passed by. Derek showed twilight about the TV and they were glued to one show. I didn't really see which one, but it was one of those law and order shows. I could tell because twilight kept commenting on this world's legal system, and Derek kept explaining how it all works to her. I finished the food for us and called them to dinner, we got our food, but ended up just eating in front of the TV anyway.
"How... Do you use these things?" Asked twilight fumbling around with a fork.
"Hold it like this." I told her showing her how to hold a piece of silverware by showing her with my spoon. She copied me and was able to get it easily.
"Jeez, these hands are so complicated." Said twilight. "How can you use these?"
"Well... Humans are born with them, so we have our entire lives to learn about them." I said.
"I don't know how you ponies can get anything done without apps able thumbs and fingers." Said Derek.
"Hmm..." Said twilight. She looked down at her food while I and Derek were wolfing down ours. It was delicious, it's been such a long time since I've tasted meat. Though, nothing could compare to a well seasoned steak. Twilight ate some of her ramen and kinda studied the flavor as she ate. She swallowed and looked down at her door.
"How is it?" I asked.
"It tastes... Strange." She said. She ate more and by the time ten minutes had rolled by we had already finished our dinners. I was somewhat surprised that she ate it so easily. But I can't really blame her, even if it is meat flavored, it's still food. "It was t that bad... But it's going to be hard fitting in to a world full of carnivores when I'm an herbivore..." Said twilight.
"Well there are humans that do refuse to eat meat, they're called vegetarians... They eat mostly salad and stuff. But you can't exactly go to the store and buy a daisy and daffodil sandwich." I said.
"Why not?" Asked twilight.
"Well... Humans don't eat flowers like daisies, they don't taste good to us, and our bodies don't have the required organs to adequately digest plant mater like that. We eat vegetables like carrots and fruits like apples... But we don't eat wild plants."
"Hmm... Humans are strange creatures." Said twilight.
"Well... To you they are." Said Derek. "I think I get what you meant earlier when you said that you knew how we felt."
"Everything just seems so... So... Complicated... And advanced." Said twilight.
"Well... We don't have magic." I said. "So we had to work hard and develop our fields of science and engineering. What we couldn't solve with magic we had to solve with logic and reasoning. Instead of lighting candles now we have light bulbs which use electricity to create light." I said. "Since everything is so big we have large vehicles like cars with engines. And planes that can fly... Even if they are huge pieces of metal that easily weighs several hundred tons. We still manage to get them into the air and fly them at great speeds."
"I know... It's amazing." She said.
"Well, there's still plenty more to see... Like the remote I showed you earlier." Said Derek. "It uses radio waves and not magic to control the television."
"For a second I thought it was magic, and that you two lied to me." She said.
"Trust me... There isn't any magic in this world." I said. "Anyway... It's getting a bit late, but in suppose it doesn't matter... We can relax for a while. Make this house our base of operations for the time being while we try and get some research done, I just don't know where we're going to start looking though."
"Yeah, it's not going to be easy..." Said Derek. "If I had to guess... I'd say there must be another one down in South America."
"What makes you say that?" I asked.
"Well, think about it." He said. "When the government found the first portal in Guadalajara it was in a deep Aztec temple... And where did we find the other two portals?" He asked leading us on.
"They were in Aztec like temples too." I said. "Nice thinking... It seems that the Aztecs were onto something hundreds of years ago... Who would have figured." I said.
"Yeah well... Their colander was wrong... And that freaked enough people out, so I'm not willing to ride so much on this, but I think that it's a good place to start looking." He said.
"What was their colander thing?" Asked twilight.
"Well there used to be an ancient sculpture called the Aztecs, years ago." I said. "They created a circular calendar that read years into the future, it ended on December 21, 2012. People thought that since the calendar ended on that day that it would be the end of the world... Obviously it wasn't." I said.
"Well that's a stupid thing to think... My calendar ends every year, but the world doesn't." She said.
"Yeah, I wasn't around then so we don't really know what people were thinking. But give a person a reason to be afraid and they'll make everybody around them afraid as well." I said.
"So anyway... We should take some time to relax, a few days... Then we should get to work." Said Derek.
"Yeah... Tomorrow me and twilight will go out and get food..." I said. "Wait... We need a car." I said.
"I think there's one in the garage still... An old Chevy." Said Derek. "It was mine but, I left it there when I joined the forces... I haven't really been home since, so it's just been sitting there, hopefully it still is." He said. "Let me check." Said Derek getting up and walking over to a door by the kitchen which peered into the garage. He looked in through the small window in the door and smiled. "Hey... It is still here... Well damn." He said walking back over.
"You can operate one of those machines?" Asked twilight.
"Anybody can." I said. "Once you reach a certain age you can take a test to get a license, which you need to drive a car." I said.
"Luckily the general reinstated us in the databases and got us our core ID cards." Said Derek.
"What's that?" Asked twilight.
"It's an ID card that not only acts as a drivers license but also as a permit to carry any military grade equipment, and even operate any class of vehicle." I said.
"Uh...huh..." She said somewhat confused.
"Don't worry about it. Just know that I can drive one of those things." I said.
"Alright."
"You sure you still know how to drive Alex?" Asked Derek.
"Well... It's been five years... I might be a little rusty, but it's like riding a bike, you never forget." I said.
"How about tomorrow you leave twilight here with me." Said Derek. "I don't think she wants to get into a car with you, it's a screaming metal death trap." He said making me laugh.
"We'll let her decide." I said. "So what are you going to do tomorrow?" I asked.
"Figure out a plan." He said. "There's only one car and the only thing we really need right now is food and drinks... So there isn't much to do."
"I suppose you could go an say Hi to the neighbors." I said.
"Hopefully they won't remember me, nor are not the same neighbors I had when I was a kid." He said.
"I think tomorrow I'll go into town with crims- I mean, Alex." She said. "I just remembered that I can't really call you crimson in this world." Said twilight.
"Well I suppose if it's just us three then there isn't really any problem." I said. "But we're going to have to give you a human name now, since twilight sparkle makes you sound like a high class prostitute." I said making her blush.
"W-what do you mean by that... Don't say that!" She exclaimed punching my shoulder and making Derek laugh.
"Well... If you go around calling yourself twilight people might give you strange looks." I said. "How about... Marry... No, that doesn't work, Bethany maybe... Still no."
"Christina..." Said Derek.
"No... She doesn't look like a Christina." I said. "Noel? No..."
"Can I pick my own name?" She asked.
"Do you know any human names...?" Asked Derek.
"Well... No." She said.
"I've got it... Tara...Tara Wesson." I said.
"Oh, so she'll act like your wife?" Asked Derek.
"I was thinking more along the lines of sister since she isn't wearing a wedding ring." I said.
"Hmm... I kinda like that name... Tara Wesson." She said. "So I need to act like you sister?" She asked.
"Well you can act like you normally do, but if people ask you about our relationship, or if you know me just tell them that you're my younger sister." I said.
"Alright... I can do that." She said. Just after she stretched her arms out and yawned.
"Getting tired?" I asked.
"A little..." Said twilight.
"Why don't you head upstairs and shower." Said Derek. "The showers in this world are the same as in. Equestria... So you probably don't need any help. Just grab a towel in the bathroom closet and dry off when you're done." He said.
"A shower sounds pretty good right now." Said twilight. "Alright... I'll head up and shower." She said. Twilight got up from the couch and headed over to the stairs she walked up them and disappeared behind a corner. I and Derek watched the TV and it wasn't long before we heard the shower start up and twilight got in. The sound was slowly tuned out as we turned to the news and watched. There had been a robbery apparently in northern Boston, some liquor store was turned over and the thieves were caught.
"Hey Alex... How do you feel about all of this?" Asked Derek next to me.
"You mean about being back home?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm not sure what to think about it all." He said.
"I think it's funny." I said.
"I never figured that I would ever see this world again." He said.
"Neither did I... Which is why it's funny."
"Now that I think about it... It is pretty damn funny." He said chuckling.
"Derek... I have to ask you a serious question." I said.
"What is it?" He asked. I looked at him with a serious expression and everything seemed to be silent, even the TV didn't seem to make any noise.
"Are you going to go back?" I asked. He looked at me with a puzzled look and I could tell he was really thinking hard about it. He was silent for a little while, but he opened his mouth and spoke.
"Well... I don't really know... Are you?" He asked.
"I am... I have to, I've already built a new life to replace the one I lost here, and I won't let myself lose everything again." I said.
"So that's what all this is about... Isn't it." Said Derek. "Ever since you built a new life you've done everything you could to make sure it doesn't turn out like the last one."
"I've got a new family now, and I want to protect it... You're right about all of that... I won't lose my new life... Because then I'll truly have nothing left." I said. "But you still can build a life here... I can't, so that's why I asked."
"Well... I don't have much of a life in Equestria, I'm not married with kids like you are, and I wasn't married back here... So... I don't know, I really don't. Being back home is just so... So... I don't know what to call it. It's that feeling you get after having home sickness... But I still feel kinda sick."
"I know how you feel... I feel the same way right now." I said looking back to the TV. Just as the conversation stopped we could hear the sound of the shower stop and the curtains upstairs open up meaning twilight was out of the shower. "Don't tell twilight about what we talked about... I don't want her to worry about us."
"I won't... Promise." Said Derek. It want much longer before twilight had already started coming down the stairs from the bathroom. She let out a relaxed sigh which sounded like she had finally loosened up a bit and was more comfortable now. Me and Derek just kept our eyes on the TV.
"That was just what I needed." She said behind me.
"Feeling better now..." I Asked.
"Much better." She said.
"Well if you w-" I said looking back to see her but freezing when I saw that she was butt naked with damp hair. "Oh god damn it..." I said looking away. "Twilight, I thought I told you that humans are supposed to wear clothes, especially when in front of other humans." I said.
"Oh god, sorry... I forgot." She said quickly covering herself up.
"Wait, WH-oh god..." Said Derek looking back but quickly covering his eyes.
"Sorry... But I only had the one pair of clothes." Said twilight.
"Upstairs... The last door the is my sisters room. There should still be a drawer with clothes in it... Put them on." He said.
"Sorry..." Said twilight rushing past us and bolting up the stairs. Once she was gone me and Derek relaxed a bit.
"I don't think she's got the hang of it, just yet." I said.
"No... She doesn't." Said Derek removing his hand from his eyes "but seriously though, I didn't expect that twilight would sport such a rocking body."
"She is a bit... Well... She's more profound in certain regions than other women are." I said.
"Alright... I put some clothes on..." Said twilight rushing down the stairs.
"Are you sure... All of them?" I asked.
"Yes I'm sure... I put on the top part and the bottom part." She said.
"The top part is a shirt, the bottom part is a pair of pants... Did you put them on right?" I asked looking back. She was fully dressed in sweatpants and a T-shirt, which I'm pretty sure was on backwards.
"Well... They fit, but the shirt is a little uncomfortable." She said walking over and sitting down.
"Lift up the collar." Said Derek.
"Okay..." She said lifting up the collar of the shirt. "What now?"
"Is there a little paper tag or something sticking out that you can see?" I asked.
"Yeah, there is, and it's got some writing and pictures on it."
"That means the shirt is on backwards." I said. "The tag goes in back."
"Oh... That makes sense." She said. She quickly pulled the shirt off and surely enough she wasn't wearing a bra under... So we got an eyeful of everything. Derek and I blushed as we covered our eyes again.
"Why aren't you wearing a bra?" I asked.
"What's a bra?" Asked twilight.
"It goes over your breasts... You know, those huge things on your chest." I said. "You're probably not wearing panties either... Are you?" I asked.
"Jeez, how many clothes do you humans need to wear at a single time?"
"Don't question it, just hurry up and out your shirt back on." I said.
"It already is back on." She said. Me and Derek looked and saw she was wearing her shirt again, the right way this time. "Jeez you humans are extra sensitive about these things." Said twilight. "How come only the females have these?" She asked.
"Well... You know that female cows have utters right?" I asked.
"Yeah..." She said.
"Well it's kinda like those, when humans give birth the babies often drink milk from their mothers..." I said then gesturing to her chest area.
"Oh... So there's milk in these things." She said grabbing them and squeezing them playfully. "But I don't get why you cover them up so much, they aren't really private parts if they just jet out of people's chests like this."
"Well that's just the way things are." Said Derek.
"And I saw a lot of females today that didn't have ones as big as mine... Is that a problem?" She asked.
"Well...no, it varies between women." I said.
"So... Are bigger ones better?" Asked twilight still playfully grabbing her boobs
"Well... From a woman's standpoint I don't really know, but the bigger ones do a better job of attracting men." I said. This conversation was extremely awkward for me and Derek but twilight was curious and we can't just tell her to shut up or anything.
"So the bigger ones make me look more attractive." She said.
"Well...yeah, they do." Said Derek to which twilight started to smile.
"You actually look better than most women." I said.
"I'm not even a human and I looked better than most women... That's kinda funny." She said smiling and laughing.
"Yeah... It's all great, but can we please stop talking about twilights boobs before I get a nose bleed." Said Derek.
"That might be a good idea." I said. "In fact... I think it's about time we turn in for the night."
"Yeah... I'm getting tired." Said twilight.
"Me too..." Said Derek. "Twilight you can take my sisters room, Alex, you can take my parents old room, and I'll take my room." He said.
"Sounds good." I said. "Which room is your parent's room?" I asked.
"It the one across from twilights room." He said. We turned the TV off and started to make our way upstairs to our own rooms. Derek went I to his own room and we wished him a goodnight before going to our rooms. I said goodnight to twilight and she returned the favor as we walked into our own rooms. An end table at each end of the bed with an alarm clock on each. A closet next to the drawer and a dresser against the wall by a window with its shades down and curtains drawn over it. I was about to just crawl into bed when something caught my eye. I looked over to see that it was my shadow which was cast over a blank spot on the wall.
It looked human just like me, arms, legs and a head. But there was a pair of wings on it. The wings were large and spread over the blank wall like angels wings. I looked at my own shadow and I knew that I didn't really have wings, but it kinda felt like I did. I just looked at my own shadow and smiled, I don't know if it means something, or if it's just part of the visions I suffer from now. I haven't been having many of those visions anymore, I think it's starting to wear off, but I don't think it's ever going to go away, it'll just become present at some points... Which I suppose is a good thing. If I saw strange figures dancing around and talking to me I would probably lose my mind. I just looked down at my own shadow with sings.
And I smiled...
