A/N: Short chapter is short it's just barely a thousand words, also if there's anything that sounds contradicting please tell me

It's been a month since Demyx confessed to him anytime Zexion would try to bring it up Demyx would brush him off and walk away, He didn't give him a chance to accept or reject his confession.

Really Zexion was worried, although they still hung out and Demyx still occasionally visits his house but...

"Ugh" Zexion groaned for the seventeenth time that day,

Axel raised an eyebrow. "What is wrong with you?" They had been sitting on the roof eating lunch and throughout the lunch Zexion hadn't said a thing.
"You've been doing nothing today but groaning and sighing."

Zexion glanced up at Axel then went back to his food. "Nothing..." He said then sighed.

"Nothing my ass, seriously what is wrong with you?" Zexion glanced up at Axel again and sighed before getting up. "And stop sighing!"

"I don't know..." Zexion walked over to the fence and looked at the sky.

Zexion was confused why did Demyx refuse to speak with him about it? why did he run off and leave every time he mentioned it. "I'm just a little confused..."

Axel frowned. "Confused about what?"

Demyx had to admit he did feel a little guilty for avoiding Zexion every time he asked about his confession, but really Demyx didn't have an answer, because he was still confused himself...

That's probably why he was so lost at this very moment as Zexion once again questioned him about that day... "Demyx..." He couldn't look Zexion in the eye if he did he would have to talk.

"I'm sorry but there's something I have to do..." That was a lie, Demyx brushed pass Zexion and walked down the hall, again he avoided him he walked away and avoided the question...

When he turned around the corner he was faced with Marluxia, he seemed...angry.

"Can I help you?" Demyx asked although he had a good idea why he was being scowled at.

"What did you do to Zexion." Marluxia asked not beating around the bush.

Demyx groaned and mentally rolled his eyes he wasn't going to answer Zexion and he definitely wasn't going to answer Marluxia. "Nothing." He answered simply he really didn't do anything to him.

He let out a short laugh. "And you really expect me to believe that?" Demyx forgot he was dealing with Marluxia.

He rolled his eyes then leaned against the wall. "Fine I'll tell you what happened but I can promise you you're overreacting."

Demyx pulled away then looked at the grown. "I uh." He let go of Zexion's hand and started to back away. "I didn't." He looked back up and saw a shocked slightly worried looking Zexion staring back at him. "I'm sorry!" He turned around and ran off.

Just like last time...he ran away.

Zexion blinked at Demyx back as he retreated away then disappeared from site when he turned the corner, he touched his lip then tilted his head.

"I'm confused."

"See that's all that happened, now let me go home." Demyx said.

Marluxia shook his head and stepped closer he put his hand on the wall with a sudden dud and leaned in. "No."

Getting dragged around by Marluxia wasn't on Demyx's list of things to do he finally stopped at the door to the roof. "What are we doing here?" Demyx asked, but instead of an answer Marluxia just opened the door and pulled him in

Of course... The moment Demyx stepped through the door he saw Zexion, wearing the same expression he did the other day.

Zexion stared at Demyx and the latter looked away.

"Demyx..." Zexion looked away as well.

Marluxia rolled his eyes and pushed Demyx forward. "Talk." Marluxia commanded, Axel narrowed his eyes at the scene but before he could question him Marluxia pulled him up.

"What the!?" Axel stumbled into Marluxia but quickly jolted away, Marluxia smirked at Axel who looked away in response, Axel let himself be dragged out for some reason unknown to Zexion and Demyx.

"The breeze is nice." Demyx said still avoiding Zexion's occasional glances, they had been standing up there not saying anything and avoiding eye contact for a couple minutes now enveloped in a awkward silence, he looked out at the direction Zexion was staring at, he never noticed but the school yard was quite beautiful.

Zexion frowned for a second, Demyx was doing it again trying to make small talk untill Zexion forgot about the question and it usually worked but not this time. "Just tell me why you ran away." Zexion asked getting straight to the point

Demyx shrunk down and looked as if he was about to run and Zexion noticed they both bolted for the door but Zexion beat him to it and blocked his way his arms out stretched.

"You're going to talk to me."

Demyx made a whimper and stepped back, Zexion watched him closely before slowly following him.

Demyx stopped and leaned against the fence he stared at Zexion and gave him a weak smile before speaking up. "I guess first would be why I confessed to you after denying it so strongly." Demyx started.

"That would be nice to know." Zexion said folding his arms, although He had to admit that Demyx's denial was horrible and very obvious he may not have fell for it early on if he himself wasn't also in denial.

"I really don't know..." Demyx answered, and Zexion's expression softened. "Why I kissed you..." Demyx looked away a slight blush on his face. "That's er..."

Zexion blushed and looked away as well. "There's no need to explain that one."

"And I ran away because..." He stopped and took a long breath. "Because I was nervous and when I saw you again I felt ashamed for running away so I dodged the subject because I wanted you to forget but you kept bringing it up so I-" Demyx continued to babble on untill Zexion interrupted him with a hug. "Z-zexion?"

"You know... you're an idiot." Zexion said hugging him tighter. "But you're also my friend."

Demyx blinked a little dumbfounded. "You still...think of me as a friend?" Demyx asked. "Even after I avoided your question and acted all weird."

Zexion pulled away and nodded his head. "Of course." He smiled before Demyx pulled him back into the hug.

"Thank you..."
