Taylor and I are talking about different topics until the sounds of rustling bushes catches our attention. Dex starts to growl and I'm about to pull my gun. I slowly get up and slowly cock my gun. The bushes continue to shake and make rustle noises until the person emerged. I wouldn't say that it was a person. It was Envy, who is covered in dirt, cobwebs, and more dirt.

Me: Envy, don't go around scaring people like that! What took you so long!?

Envy: I thought it was the same shelter we fu-

Me: SHHH! That's too much to be saying right now.

Taylor: Wait, wait, wait, wait! Serenity...this is your boyfriend?

Me: Yes. This is Envy the Jealous.

Taylor: *laughs out loud* You're dating a transgender!

Envy: WHAT!?

Damn it! I knew shit like this was going to happen. Envy explodes in anger and tries to jump at Taylor. I try my hardest trying to hold him back and get him to calm down.

Me: Envy, relax! She's just joking!

Envy: I don't take jokes from lowlife humans! She'll die before see can say another word!

Taylor: Another word. I said it!

Me: Taylor, shut up! Envy, calm the fuck down!

I take my gun and shoot him in his stomach. The bullet goes through him leaving a hole in his stomach. Envy clutches his stomach and grunts in pain. I sigh and Dex sits next to me while he pants. After I relax, I said to them...

Me: Ok. Now, let me do this before there is any bloodshed. Envy, this is my new friend, Taylor. Taylor, this is my homunculus boyfriend, Envy. He's not a transgender.

Taylor: Okay. He's not a transgender.

Me: *in thought* Thank you...

Taylor: He's a walking palm tree.

Me: Taylor! *in thought* Envy's still recovering, so it's fine for now. *to both* Now, that you guys are here, I have something to tell you guys.

After Envy recovered, he sits next to me. Dex lays on his stomach and Taylor also sits down. She says...

Me: I got a call this afternoon from a special group from Briggs.

Envy: Special group?

Me: To be exact, it's my Ishvalan family.

Taylor: Really? That's great! You know that you have family now.

Me: Yeah, but...

Taylor: But what?

Me: I have to leave Central.

Taylor: What!? Seriously!? Serenity, we actually just met each other! You have to leave here already?

Me: I know, but my family called me today and they think I should leave to see them. I'm upset about this because...

Taylor: Because what?

Me: I don't want to leave him. *puts hands under chin*

Envy is acting like he doesn't give a damn because he didn't blink, turn his head, nor did he touch me. Despite that, something feels like he cares about this a lot.

Me: I mean we just got back together and I want to mess around with him for as long as I can before I venture off to see my family of Ishvalan blood. *cries* Why does love have to hurt? *clutches middle of her shirt*

Taylor gets out of her seat, walks to me, and hugs me tightly. She rubs my left arm as she hugs me.

Taylor: Hey, Serenity, you shouldn't be crying about something like this. I know how much you love Envy and I know how much you want to see your family. Both require love, so you should not cry.

Even though Taylor's words comforted me, it's not enough for me to make a choice. After she releases me, I walk to the lake and soak my feet hoping to make my decision.

3rd pov

Serenity goes to the lake leaving Dex, Taylor, and Envy under the shelter. Taylor looks at Envy, who still hasn't shown any sign of emotion. She finds it difficult to study him, so she says...

Taylor: Well, you're being awfully quiet.

Envy looks at Taylor with angry eyes. They maybe angry eyes, but it's more like sad eyes after what he heard. Without nothing to say to her, Envy follows Serenity. Taylor smiles as she sees this.

1st pov (Serenity)

As I stand in the lake, I feel Envy's presence coming closer. He actually came just in time. I just finished wiping the tears off my cheeks. Envy stands next to me and says...

Envy: So, what you said is true...

Me: My tears weren't fake, so what do you think?

Envy: I think your bitchy first friend is right. You shouldn't be crying.

Me: Easy for you to say...

Envy: Honestly...it's an easy decision.

Me: So, what do you think?

Envy: *sighs* As much as loathe humans, you should see your family.

My heart felt like it exploded and my eyes were on their way to leave my sockets. Did he really just say that I should go with my family? I kind of find weird that he made that suggestion. I react by turning to him with the "for real" face.

Envy: Don't even look at me like that.

Me: Is that Philosopher's Stone developing into a heart? That's what it looks like right now...

Envy: HELL NO!

Me: *smiles* Liar.

Envy: Serenity, you're pushing it!

Me: I'm sorry. It's just that...what you say sometimes catches me off guard. I don't know what to do without you, Envy. *approaches and hugs him*

Envy: What the-

Me: I love you.

Without replying, Envy wraps his arms around me. We stayed in the position for a while.

Next day...

I thought carefully on what my choice should be. I want to see my family, but I still want to stay and get Envy's company at night. So, what'll it be? As I ate my breakfast, I finally got it. I'll have them come to Central and they can meet those who cared for me. Sounds like a plan to me. I go to a phone booth outside and call my Aunt Bahira. The phone rings from the other line and she answers.

Bahira: Hello?

Me: Aunt Bahira?

Bahira: Hello, my lovely niece! How are you?

Me: I'm fine. Can I ask you a favor?

Bahira: Sure.

Me: Can you and the others come to Central? I really want to see you all.

Bahira: Okay. We'll be seeing you soon. I can't wait to see what is left of my darling sister.

Me: I can't wait to meet all of you. I really need my real family at the moment.

Bahira: We'll see you soon.

Me: Alright. Bye.

I hang up the phone and ran back to the Command Center. I'm so happy! I should've thought of this sooner! I'm seeing my family without having to leave home! I didn't have anything else to do that day, so I relaxed the rest of the day.

3 days later...

I wait at the train station with Taylor for my family to arrive.

Taylor: So, you're excited?

Me: Of course. I'm meeting my mother's side of the family. This day really means a lot to me and my deceased parents. I know they're watching...

I saw a train pass by and I look around quickly looking for my family. I didn't see them. There was so many people at the station that I couldn't find a group of Ishvalans anywhere until...

Jawdan: *pulls jacket sleeve* Are...are you Serenity?

Me: Yes?

Jawdan: Mommy! Mommy! I found her!

When he said that, I smiled brightly at the little boy. This is my little cousin! I hug him tightly as well as he hugs me tightly. Then, I feel another pair of arms wrap around me and I hear crying. It sounds like my Aunt Bahira. I didn't see her until we separated from each other. She almost looked like Mom, but her hair was shorter and she had it in a ponytail.

Bahira: So, this is my niece. She look like my sister. You're beautiful, darling.

Me: Thank you. I want to meet all of you and get to know you all. Let's go to the Command Center.

Bahira: Sure. It looks like it's going to rain.

Hours later, I met my grandmother, uncle, and many other relatives that came to see me. As it rains outside, I can hear my parents say, "She's finally meeting the family. I'm so proud of her." I'm very glad that they're watching me live my life. I learn a lot from them even though they're dead. I love my family. This is the best day ever, but it's not over yet. I need to celebrate with my boyfriend. I have a little surprise for my homunculus plus I'm craving to get my dominance because he always leads me. When nighttime came around, I get my call from him and I tell him to meet me in the forest. I put on the pink and black dress, flat shoes, knee socks, and my large jacket. I even out my hair in a ponytail. I button up the jacket and I head out. As I get to the forest, I see Envy sitting in a tree.

Envy: So, what's new?

Me: Saw my family today.

Envy: So, you went?

Me: Nope. They came to see me. I asked them to.

Envy: *jumps of the tree* That's nice. I see that your hair is in a ponytail.

Me: Yeah. I thought I try wearing one.

Envy: You know, you're very cheerful and it's getting annoying already.

Me: You don't like me being cheerful? You don't want me to be happy?

Envy: Well...

Me: Huh. Well, I don't have to be happy then if that's what you want.

Envy: *sarcastically* Fine. Don't be...

Me: I need to be happy because I want to have fun before this day is over. So...*pushes him to the ground, gets on top* ...I'm celebrating by getting dominance.

Envy: Oh. Is that what you want?

Me: Yes. Let me start teasing first.

Envy: *unbuttons the jacket* Okay, but only this once.

Me: You won't be thinking that once we're done.

Envy pulls my ponytail which made me get close to face. He smiles wickedly even though he isn't leading tonight. He whispers into my ear...

Envy: You may be leading now, but remember, I'M THE ONE WHO IS MAKING YOU SCREAM.

Me: You're so wicked...

Envy: I know...

...and with that I got my role as leader for the first time.

I'm now fine from all the bullshit that happened from weeks. I'm now free from difficult decisions even though they are so easy to make. But, I must admit that it was a thrill. I've grown from a hopeless infant into a strong adult. I thank my military friends, who have watched from the start. I thank Taylor for being my best friend and for disagreeing with those who don't like me. I also give gratitude to my furry friend, Dex, for fighting along side me. I thank those from Xing for taking care of me as well. I thank my parents for watching me and telling me that there is a whole lot more to life. Most of all, I thank Envy for changing my life.
