"So valentine's is soon." Roxas mentioned and Zexion perked up while Axel groaned in response.
Demyx looked between the two confused, Axel noticed and spoke up.
"Allow me to enlighten you young Demyx." Axel put his arm around Demyx's shoulder and pointed at Zexion. "You see on EVERY valentines day all the girls in school give chocolates and confess they're un-dying love for that little piece of evil and Marluxia." Axel added the last part with a roll of his eyes. "While the rest of us poor sorry unpopular saps must sit and watch chocolate-less."
Demyx tilted his head and looked at Axel. "Zexion's popular?" He asked
Axel nodded his head. "Yes very popular." He removed his arm from Demyx's shoulder and put his hands on the back of Zexion's chair. "Because apparently this thing is sooo cute."
"Hey I'm not a thing!" Zexion protested.
"Axel seems to be awfully rude to Zexion today." Demyx mentioned then took a bite out of some bread he was eating.
Roxas leaned forward on Demyx's desk resting his head on the palm of his hand and glanced at Axel. "Oh he always gets like this at this time of year." Roxas answered with smirk.
"Why?" Demyx said now looking at Axel.
"Because he's single and everyone ignores him?" Marluxia said suddenly appearing in the classroom wearing a smug expression
Axel briefly sent a glare at Marluxia then scoffed. "I'm not gonna even bother." Axel said Ignoring Marluxia, Demyx looked at them raised an eyebrow then whispered to Zexion.
"They've been acting weird lately don't you think?" Zexion nodded in response then whispered back.
"Weren't they like this that day at the Ice-cream parlor?"
Demyx nodded his head. "Yeah." Demyx answered he started to move away but stopped when Roxas also leaned in.
"What are you two whispering about?" Roxas asked
Zexion leaned closer to Roxas so he could hear. "Axel and Marluxia." Zexion answered and Roxas raised an eyebrow.
He looked at Axel then Marluxia and could basically see the tension. "U.S.T?" Roxas said and Zexion gasped loudly and Marluxia and Axel noticed, Roxas and Demyx quickly scrambled away from the little circle they were huddled in and whistled suspiciously.
Axel narrowed his eyes and Marluxia laughed. "Yeah because you're totally not suspicious." Axel said sarcastically.
Demyx shrunk down into his chair and avoided Axel's gaze. "I-I don't know what you're talking about.'
While Axel was distracted with Demyx, Roxas took this as his chance to ditch. "Er...I should ya know get back to class so..." He slowly raised out of the chair then ran. "Later!" He shouted down the hall.
Marluxia gave Zexion an odd smile whom just blinked in response, He grabbed Axel then started to drag him out the classroom. "He does have a point though, we should get back to class."
Axel flailed around a little before slumping and giving up, Demyx watched them leave then sent Zexion a text.
Zexion pulled out his phone then gave Demyx a look, he gestured for him to read the text then Zexion looked back down at his phone. 'We should follow them.' It read Zexion texted him back then looked down the hall.
Demyx phone made a beep and he looked at the message. 'Why?' Demyx started getting up then texted Zexion back.
Zexion looked at Demyx getting up then glanced at his phone. 'That's not the way to Axel's classroom.' Zexion quickly typed a reply then got up as well.
Demyx looked at the text and snickered before heading out of the classroom. 'Oooh (O_O).' It read.
Zexion followed him out and they ran the direction Marluxia and Axel went, it didn't take them long to catch up and they quickly scrambled for the wall.
"Where do you think they're going?" Zexion asked briefly looking up at Demyx.
"I don't dunno." Demyx answered and Zexion gave him a disappointed look before looking back out at the two, Marluxia and Axel turned a corner and they followed in pursuit, they clung to another wall and looked out Demyx watched them then took a moment to ask Zexion a question. "Hey this isn't gonna turn into one of those moments where we turn a corner and 'next thing you know they're right behind us, is it?"
Zexion didn't look at Demyx and kept watching Marluxia and Axel. "No way that only happens to people on Tv shows." He answered still looking out.
"And to nosy student's who skip class." A female voice called out from behind them.
They whipped around and saw a girl with shoulder length reddish pink hair glaring at them with her arms folded.
"Run." Zexion said then grabbed Demyx and bucked down the hall leaving a shouting girl behind them.
"...I think...we got...away." Zexion said panting in-between words, they were somewhere outside Demyx had never been, Demyx sat on the grass and stared up at Zexion, he was hunched over with his hands on his knees breathing heavily. "I'm to out of shape for this." Zexion said and collapsed onto the grass beside Demyx.
Demyx looked down at him then chuckled. "I didn't take you as the type to skip class." Demyx said wondering why they had just ran away in the first place.
Zexion lazily rolled his head to the side to look at Demyx. "Well I used to do it all the time way back when." Zexion answered in a tone that implied he was reminiscing. "But that was a long time ago." He continued. "Besides you don't wanna get in trouble so its a good thing we ran."
Demyx nodded in response Then laid back onto the grass, he stared at the sky for a couple seconds before turning to look at Zexion, to say he was still in love with him would not be a lie it had only been one day since he was er... 'friendzoned' you could say, but truthfully he believed he could get himself out of that friendzone, some how.
Demyx took a deep breath then spoke up. "We should continue looking for Marluxia and Axel." Demyx said and Zexion blinked then made a quiet ooh sound, Demyx got up and brushed his clothes off before bending down holding his hand out to Zexion to pull him up.
Zexion looked at him for a bit before grabbing his hand, still a little winded he stumbled forward and Demyx caught him. "...Where do you think they went?" Zexion asked not really acknowledging the fact that he just fell onto Demyx.
Demyx blinked staring down at Zexion in his arms, he started to blush and looked away. "Er...S-supply closet?" Zexion nodded at Demyx suggestion and moved away from him and headed towards a door, and Demyx followed.
"So why a supply closet?" Zexion questioned.
"Well wouldn't it be a good place to ya know-" Demyx stopped himself when he suddenly heard a voice.
Zexion stopped and turned around to look at Demyx "What is it?" He asked but was shushed by Demyx.
"Hear that?" Demyx said and started walking towards the boys locker room. "Sounded like..."
"Axel..." Zexion finished, Demyx put his hand on the door knob then nodded to Zexion who nodded back, Demyx slowly turned the knob and started to push the door open enough for them to peak through,
They looked inside and saw... Axel sitting on Marluxia the latter's shirt un-buttoned.
"Oh god..." Zexion whispered quietly then covered his mouth with his hand
"Eww." Demyx said a little loudly causing Axel to turn and look at the door he narrowed his eyes and when he saw it was Zexion and Demyx he face-palmed.
"You followed us!?" Marluxia questioned, they were standing outside the locker room now.
"You were suspicious!" Zexion answered.
Demyx sighed. "But you were really suspicious, how were we supposed to know you were just er talking." Demyx said specifying the word talking.
Axel glared at Demyx. "You don't seem to believe us." Axel said questioning Demyx's tone.
"Hell no I don't believe you." Demyx answered not denying Axel's acquisition.
Zexion nodded his head agreeing with Demyx on not believing them. "It's weird in unlikely there's also no need to linger on top of him it's just strange!" Zexion said then continued. "Not to mention Marluxia has been dragging and bossing you around all month and you just sit there and take it!"
Marluxia looked at Axel and shrugged. "He has a point."
Axel face-palmed then shook his head. "Even so we're not doing what you think we're doing." Axel answered. "What ever that is." He added.
Demyx face went blank and he straightly answered. "Each-other." He bluntly said causing Marluxia to burst out laughing and Axel's face to turn blue
"Well that's er...quite the assumption you have there, pfft." Marluxia said wiping off a tear before bursting into laughter again. "W-with... Axel!... t-thats just kfft." He started laughing harder then fell on the floor clutching his stomach.
The three of them looked at him with blank looks on they're face.
"Marluxia's kind of a douchebag." Zexion said.
Axel and Demyx looked at Zexion and simultaneously said. "You're just now noticing that."
In the end they did get caught but got away with a long lecture.
"How did we get away just a lecture?" Demyx questioned as they walked home together.
"Don't question a miracle Demyx." Axel said then stopped. "Well see y'all tomorrow." He waved then walked off in the other direction.
Marluxia stopped as well then blinked at Axel's direction before running off after him. "Ah hey wait!" He briefly turned around to wave at Demyx and Zexion. "Er see you two later." He said then caught up with Axel and they started talking about something, but they were to far for Zexion and Demyx to hear.
Zexion and Demyx narrowed they're eyes at the scene then they're expressions went blank.
"Marluxia's house isn't in that direction is it." Demyx asked his expression darkening.
Zexion shook his head slowly. "No." He answered still shaking his head.
