Chapter 40: Day III; Frozen Kingdom
Anna wakes up in the next morning and looks around. She thought back to yesterday. After hearing the tale from the bard, Baron quickly had his dinner and walked out of the bar. When she asked him why, he said that he need some rest. So Anna decided to rest in the Lapice City for a night.
Anna prepares herself before she walks out of her room and goes to the inn lobby, where Baron is waiting for her.
"Anna, you are such a sleepyhead." Baron says.
"What?!" Anna says after hearing a strange morning greeting from Baron.
"You slept with your saliva drooling out of your mouth… And you also snored… Hey!" Baron says before he dodges Anna's Frying Pan.
"How dare you say something like that?!" Anna roars.
"But it is the truth! I saw it with my own eyes!" Baron says.
"What?! You entered my room?!" Anna roars before she bashes her Frying Pan to Baron.
"Calm down!" Baron says.
"How dare you enter my room?!" Anna roars.
"I was knocking the door to wake you up, but you didn't answer me so I went into your room to ra... To wake you up!" Baron says and changes some of his words when Anna looks at him with a blood-hungry force.
"Hm! Anyway, we will go now. Baron! Let's go." Anna says. Then Baron and Anna check out of the inn and walk out of the inn together.
After heading out of the inn, Anna goes to the convention store in order to buy some supplies for her journey. While Anna is buying the supplies, Baron starts reading a book.
"…?"
Baron turns his attention from the book when he sees two strangers in the two. If they are the ordinary Pokemon, he will not pay too much attention to them, but they are Dragon type Legendary Pokemon. Both of them are flying around the city, asking people about something. Upon they notice Baron, they move up to Baron. They are a red-plane Pokemon, Latias, and a blue-plane Pokemon, Latios.
"Excuse me, Mr. Shiny Haxorus." Latias says.
"Mr. Shiny Haxorus, excuse me." Latios says.
"We have a question to ask you." Latias says.
"A question to ask you, we have." Latios says.
"Have you seen the Goodra who is the Dragonqueen XV around here?" Latias asks.
"Goodra who is the Dragonqueen XV, have you seen her around here?" Latios asks.
"… I don't know if she is the one you are finding, but…" Baron says, and that is the same time that Anna walks out of the Convenion Store.
"Baron, help me…" Anna says, but then, her eyes see Latios and Latias.
"Lati s!" Anna says.
"Queen Anna!" Latios and Latias say and kneel down.
"What happen?! What made you come to this place?!" Anna asks.
"It is terrible!" Latias says.
"Terrible, it is!" Latios says.
"You must return to our kingdom, at once!" Latias says.
"Return to our kingdom, at once, you must!" Latios says.
After finish saying, Latios and Latias fly across the city, Anna quickly follows them.
"…" Baron puts away his book and runs after Anna.
Anna and Baron follow Latios and Latias back to the gate that links between Irtha and the Kingdom of the Dragonking, which is located in the middle of the Lapice Great Snowfield. Although they have to face the brutal blizzard, Anna complains nothing.
Finally, four of them reach the Kingdom of the Dragonking. But…
"OH!" Anna screams.
The first thing that she can see is the glittering ice. It is located everywhere in the kingdom! No… Not only that… Everything in the kingdom has been frozen solid!
"Hey! What happen with this?!" Baron asks.
"Who are you?" Latias asks.
"You… Who are?" Latios asks.
Baron introduces himself to Latios and Latias before he returns to his question.
"While we were living peacefully in the kingdom…" Latias says.
"Living peacefully in our kingdom, we were." Latios says.
"The sky suddenly turned dark!" Latias says.
"But then, suddenly turn dark, the sky was!" Latios says.
"And then, several huge icicles fell down upon our land!" Latias says.
"Fell down upon our land, those icicles was!" Latios says.
"High Commanders told us to come and get the queen quickly!" Latias says.
"To come and get the queen quickly, this is the thing that High Commanders told us!" Latios says.
"So… Anna is the current Dragonqueen… I haven't known this before…" Baron says.
"…Sniff… Sniff… Everyone…" Anna mumbles.
Anna, Baron, Latios and Latias walk around the kingdom, but the only thing that they can see is everything and everyone in this kingdom had been frozen.
Anna returns to Palace of the Dragonking to find the survivor, but everyone in the palace had been frozen, include all High Commanders.
"Terrible…" Anna says.
"Well… Dragonqueen, what will you do with this?" Baron asks.
"… We must help everyone first…" Anna answers.
"What about your task to find the piece of Mirror of Nightmare?" Baron asks.
"… I am the queen of my kingdom before I am the heroine of the world." Anna answers.
"…Great answer…" Baron mumbles.
"Your highness, what should we do?" Latias asks.
"What should we do, your highness?" Latios asks.
"…" Anna says nothing and picks something from her bag. It is the book about the history of the Kingdom of the Dragonking. She reads it for a while before her eyes glitter with hope.
"I know!" Anna says.
"Hm?" Baron, Latios and Latias look at Anna.
Anna shows a page in the book to everyone. It is the page that describe about…
"… Dragonking X?" Baron says.
"Yes. He is the legendary dragon and ice type Pokemon. He will be the only one that can help us." Anna says.
"But… how can we find him?" Baron asks.
"…I've once met him before…" Anna says.
"Really?!" Latios and Latias say.
"But… I don't know if he is still existing or not… But we must find him…" Anna says.
"Then, which place could we found him?" Baron asks.
Anna picks out the map of Irtha and shows it to everyone.
"According to the legend of Irtha, in the region of Lapice, on the northern mountain, there is the legend of the Snow King who curses everyone who dares to step into his territory…" Anna says.
"So… You want to say that the Dragonking X is the same as that Snow King?" Baron asks.
"I don't know if it is true or not, but we must try. Also, Iris told me that the Snow King also holds the 7th piece of the Mirror of Nightmare too." Anna says.
"Two birds with one stone, right?" Baron says.
"Yes, let's go back to Lapice." Anna says.
"Dragonqueen, we will follow you." Latias says.
"Dragonqueen, follow you, we will." Latios says.
"We couldn't fight, but we could give you some advice during the journey." Latias says.
"Fighting, we couldn't. Give you some advice, we can." Latios says.
"Thank you, Latios, Latias." Anna says.
