Mirror of Nightmare

Chapter 41: Day III; Snowlost Temple (1)

Anna, Baron, Latios and Latias spend their day in travelling through the snowy region of Lapice. The first thing that they have to do is to cross the Lapice Great Snowfield, which is bigger than Hyrule Field! Luckily, there is no blizzard today, so four dragons can cross it easier. They sometime have to fight the monster on the field, most of them are ice type Pokemon. Anna uses her "Ultimate Weapon" to bash enemies. Baron, on the other hand, he fights barehanded.

While having dinner, Anna decides to ask Baron something.

"Baron, I saw you fight barehanded, why don't you try to fight with weapon?"

"Hm? Well… Fighting barehanded is my specialize. Using a weapon will slow me down." Baron answers.

"At least you should wear something such as knuckle on your claws." Anna says.

"My claws and my tusks are enough for me." Baron answers.

"You are strange…" Anna says.

"You ARE the strange one, Anna. You had never told me that you are the current Dragonqueen" Baron says.

"… I don't have any reason to tell you." Anna answers.

"And you have no reason not to tell me… Well… Next question, you said that you had met the Dragonking X before, right?" Baron says.

"… Near the end of the age of Dragonking/Dragonqueen XIV, there was a war… In that war… The Kingdom of the Dragonking fell into ruins… I want to help the kingdom, so I joined the god in defeating the demon of the world so he will help us, that is how I met Dragonking X, he was helping me." Anna says.

"Hm… Sound reasonable… And after you finished your task…." Baron says.

"I became the Dragonqueen XV." Anna says.

"…XV already…" Baron mumbles with a very quiet voice so no one hears him.

After finishing their dinner, Anna, Baron, Latios and Latias continue their journey to the Northern Mountain, the mountain with the eternal blizzard.

Walking through the blizzard isn't the easy thing, especially for the dragon type Pokemon. Sometime they had to stop in the cave that they found during the journey. Sometime the blizzard blows them away from their way, making it is a very hard thing for them.

After walking for three hours, the current time is about 21:00, they see something in the distance.

"What is that?!" Latias says.

"That… What is?" Latios says.

The distant thing that they see looks like a huge place… They waste no time and quickly walk through the blizzard to reach the place.

When they get near the place, they found that it is a huge temple!

"Wow… Who could imagine that there is a place like this in the middle of this mountain…" Baron says.

"This… It must be the place…" Anna says and enters the place, Baron, Latios and Latias follow them.

Dungeon VII-I: Snowlost Temple

Although the outside of the temple is the brutal blizzard, but in the temple is a very large and beautiful hall! Everything in the temple is made from ice cube or snow. There are many huge crystal chandeliers hanging on the ceiling. It looks like a palace for the king!

The first room that they enter is a very large hall. There are four doors in this hall. One is the door at the entrance, two is the door on the left side of the hall, three is the door on the right side of the hall, and four is the hall on the opposite side of the entrance. Every door, excludes the entrance, is sealed with the mysterious power, but when Anna and Baron touch the left door, it opens easily.

"What?!" Anna and Baron say after seeing the left door open easily.

"Master, this door is protected by the power of the dragon, so only the dragon that can break the seal." Latias says.

"Master, protected by the power of the dragon, the door is. Open the door, the dragon can." Latios says.

The puzzles in the dungeon are ice-based such as pushing the ice cube or breaking the ice. Both of them also find the Dragonheart Gauntlet, which allow both of them to lift the heavy object in the dungeon.

At the end of the left side, they found a Glaciate Key. They quickly waste no time and head back to the main hall. At first, they try to insert the key to the door on the right side, but it won't work. But it works when it is inserted into the door on the opposite side of the entrance.

After passing through the door on the opposite side of the entrance, they find that they are in the Inner Garden Area of the Temple, and in the middle of the garden is a huge tower!

"Wow! Such a huge tower…" Baron says. That tower is very high.

"The Dragonking X must be in this tower for sure." Anna says.

"But what about the right side of the temple? We still haven't visited it yet." Baron says.

"If we can't visit it, just let it go." Anna says.

"Hm…. Anna… You look strange…" Baron says.

"Me? I am fine!" Anna says. But actually, visiting this place reminds her of her adventure with the god in order to restore her kingdom. That adventure… It is the starting point of her endless painful memory…

"Oh! Baron, I still haven't asked you about this, what were you doing in the Lapice Great Snowfield when you helped me?" Anna asks.

"Me? I am just travelling, I always travel around the world to the other lands in order to seek the knowledge." Baron says.

"Seek knowledge?" Anna says.

"You may not believe this, but I was born in the age of Dragonking X" Baron says. His word shocks Anna.

"What?! It means that you are very old!" Anna says.

"Yes, I am older than you for sure." Baron says.

"That is true, I was born in the age of Dragonking XII." Anna says.

After finish talking, Anna, Baron, Latios and Latias open the door and walk into the tower.

At the base of the tower, someone is there…

LD: Snowlost… Again?

Pokedragon: So, you said that the 7th dungeon is missing, here is the 7th dungeon. Link and his friends entered the Landwind Ruins in the Day III Daytime, Diasol and her friends enter the Santuary of Mortality in the Day IV Daytime, but Anna and her friends enter the Snowlost Temple in Day III Nighttime, so Snowlost Temple is the 7th dungeon and Sanctuary of Mortality is the 8th dungeon.

LD: So, what is on the right side of the dungeon? If they can reach it, why did you write about it?
