Chapter 43: Day IV; True Dragonking
Anna, Latios and Latias look at Baron in surprise. What word did LD use to call Baron?!
"…Excuse me?" Baron says.
"Surprise, aren't you? You conceal your true identity from everyone, but you cannot conceal it from me, Dragonking XII, Baron the Shiny Haxorus." LD says.
"Baron is the Dragonking XII?!" Latias says.
"The Dragonking XII, Baron is?!" Latios says.
"… I don't know anything about what did you just say. I am just Baron, the normal vagabond." Baron says.
"Vagabond or Dragonking?" LD says.
"… Do you have any proof that I am the Dragonking XII?" Baron asks.
"And do you have any proof that you are not the Dragonking XII?" LD asks.
"Anna the Goodra, Dragonqueen XV of Kingdom of the Dragonking, is searching for the existence of the Dragonking XII. Since finding the Dragonking XII is a very important mission, Anna must have prepared the detail about the Dragon King XII very well. But when she saw me, she didn't say anything about the same of my existence and the Dragonking XII's existence." Baron says.
"Yes… In my very clear memory, Dragonking XII has so many scars on his skin, but Baron has none. Plus, Dragonking XII specializes in using blade as his weapon, but Baron specializes in using his claw and tusk to fight." Anna says, but her words only make LD laugh harder than before.
"Baron, you are such a fool. You think that there are no evidence that can bind you, but you still not realize that the evidence is very near you…" LD says.
"What?!" Baron says.
"Show me the back of your right hand." LD says. His word shocks Baron.
"!" Baron looks at LD.
"Hm? What's wrong with something? Are you afraid to show the backside of your right hand?" LD says with a crafty voice.
"…Dragon God, you are smarter than I thought…" Baron says and shows the back side of his right hand to everyone. There is a mark of three triangles on it! The triangle at left-down is glowing!
"That is the proof, King Baron." LD says.
"Baron! So you are really the Dragonking XII!" Anna says.
"Yeah, I am the lost king of your kingdom." King Baron says.
"But… I don't understand it. There are so many thing that…" Anna says, but King Baron interrupts her.
"Get out of this place first, I will tell you anything that you want to know." Baron says.
Anna nods. And then Anna, Baron, Latios and Latias walk out of the tower.
After they leave the tower, LD turns his attention to Frostic, who finally turns back to his human form.
"Well done, Frostic. You had done a good job." LD says.
"…" Frostic says nothing.
"Don't stay like that! You have a work to do, don't you?" LD says.
"…Understood." Frostic says before he disappears.
"Hm… Another work finishes. Well… I must be going before they get another piece of the Mirror of Nightmare." LD says before he disappears.
-Meanwhile, at the main hall of the Snowlost Temple
Anna stares at Baron, whom she was believing that he is just a normal dragon, but it turned out that he is the one that she was finding!
"You have a lot of question, don't you?" Baron says.
"…" Anna says nothing.
"Well… First, you may want to know the story of…" Baron says, but then he stops because Anna roars.
"Woah!" Baron says.
"WHY DO YOU HAVE TO HIDE THIS FOR A LONG TIME?!" Anna roars.
"Wait, let me explain." Baron says.
"YOU ABANDONED YOUR KINGDOM, EVERYONE, AND YOU STILL ACT LIKE NOTHING HAPPEN!" Anna roars.
"HEY!STOP! I will not have a chance to say anything if you continue roaring." Baron roars.
"Hm!" Anna calms down.
"First, do you remember the story that a bard in Lapice City Bar told? About the King and his Kingdom… That is what happened to me." Baron says.
"What?!" Anna says.
"Yes. I was in the war, fighting the invaders of our kingdom. But then, I got injured from a cut." Baron says.
"But it is just a small bleed, doesn't it?" Anna says.
"… Do you remember what I said? I said "I fight to survive" That is the answer." Baron says.
"I don't understand." Anna says.
"I have to become the strongest in order to survive, because if only a droplet of my blood bleeds from the cut of my body, I will have a very slim chance to survive." Baron says. His word shocks Anna, Latios and Latias.
"What?!" Latios and Latias say.
"The gene of Hemophilia is in my blood." Baron says.
Anna grasps. Hemophilia is a very dangerous symptom. If anyone with the Hemophillia gets a bleed, the blood will not stop going out of their bleed until they die…
"Yes, I got a bleed in that war. Because it is in the war, no one could help me. I was about to die, but I survived." Baron says.
"How?" Anna asks.
"… Legendary Dragon helped me." Baron says.
"LD?" Anna says.
"A second before I could die, LD appeared in front of me and gave me a mysterious power. That power healed my wound and erased every scars on my skin. That power is…" Baron says and shows the triangles mark on the backside of his right hand.
"Triforce…" Anna says.
"Hm? You know?" Baron says.
Anna looks at Baron's Triforce Mark. Triforce is the three power of Hyrule Goddesses, Farore, Din and Nayru. Nayru's Triforce, the Triforce of Wisdom, is possessed by the Princess of Hyrule. Din's Triforce, the Triforce of Power, is possessed by evil lord, Ganondorf, that Hero of Time had defeated. And Farore's Triforce, the Triforce of Courage, is possessed by the Hero of Time himself. Then, what is the Triforce on Baron's hand?
"… I know that human's goddesses are the one who created the Triforce, but what about your Triforce?" Anna asks.
"Like human, Pokemon world also has it own Triforce too, but it is a slightly difference from human's. The one that LD gave me is the Triforce of Knowledge." Baron says.
"So… You are the owner of our world's Triforce." Anna says.
"Yes. With this Triforce, I possess an ability to gain more knowledge than everyone in the world. That is how I learn to survive, but my illiness still occur, so I can't let anyone to harm myself." Baron says.
"Then, what about the other two Triforce of our world?" Anna asks, but Baron shakes his head no.
"I don't know. The only thing that I know is my Triforce is like human's Triforce of Wisdom. The other two Triforce are the Triforce of Emotion, like human's Triforce of Power, and the Triforce of Willpower, like human's Triforce of Courage." Baron says.
"But… Why LD chose you to be the holder of Triforce of Knowledge?" Anna asks.
"I don't know. Ask him." Baron says.
"Then…" Anna says.
"I know, you want this, right?" Baron says and picks something from his bag. It is the 6th piece of the Mirror of Nightmare.
"Here, LD gave it to me and told me to guard it, but since you want it, take it." Baron says and gives the piece of Mirror of Nightmare to Anna.
"…" Anna receives a piece of Mirror of Nightmare from Baron.
"We got a piece of Mirror of Nightmare!" Latias says.
"The piece of Mirror of Nightmare, we got it!" Latios says.
"Anna, Latios, Latias, please keep my identity as secret. I don't want anyone to know it yet…" Baron says.
"… But… After you receive the Triforce of knowledge, why didn't you return to our kingdom?" Anna asks.
"…. Being the king isn't my favorite. I hate being the Dragonking. When I was the Dragonking, I felt like I am not myself, I am the other, not me." Baron says.
"…" Anna looks at Baron.
"So, I chose my Trueside and left my mask behind." Baron says.
"…" Anna says nothing.
"So… We have one, the next one is…" Baron says and looks around.
"… With the Snowking." Anna says.
Anna and her friends walk back into the tower, but they found that both LD and Frostic are gone…
