Divine Diva

Final Chapter

There's an Epilogue left, don't worry

Wow, I can't believe this thing is over…. Just, wow….

Another month passed. Hot July sun was always beaming and the members of Black Divine were having fun time traveling around Sinnoh. Another word, concert tour.

"I can't believe it's July already." May said.

"May, it's July 15th, seriously. We are going to college two months later!" Leaf exclaimed.

"I know that. It's just saying…."

"Which college are you guys going anyway?" Gary asked, his eyes glued to the phone.

"Why are we supposed to tell you that?" Marina asked.

"We are your boyfriend. Except for Paul and maybe Kenny." Jimmy replied.

Kenny was about to open his mouth to say something but Dawn cut in, "We are still not telling you."

"Why keep it a secret when you are just going to a college? We will all figure it out few months later." Drew said.

The girls didn't reply they just started to chat to each other, completely ignoring the boys.

"That's not the way you are supposed to be treating your boyfriend." Gary said sitting next to Leaf planting a kiss on top of her head.

"I can treat you whatever the way I want to." Leaf said without even looking up.

"That was mean." Gary said. The others laughed.

"Anyway, I'm thinking about you know, not going to college. Doing this as my job." Ash said.

"No, you are going to college and I mean it." Misty said.

"I don't even know what I like besides this. And I hate school." Misty sighed, wondering why she fell for this idiot. She stood up from her seat and headed to the Green's kitchen.

"Wait, did you girls even passed the school you wanted to go?" Gary asked.

The girls looked at each other, "Should we bury him alive, or burn him alive?" Leaf asked.

"Wow, since when did you get so violent?" Gary said, bit horrified.

"When you have an older brother who is seriously out of his mind you turn like this."

"I heard that!" Red voice yelled from upstairs.

"What's he doing in the house? It's summer vacation! Doesn't he have some friends to hang out with?" Leaf said out really loudly to make his brother hear this.

"I heard that too!" Red yelled.

"It was meant to!" Leaf yelled back.

"You guys, cut it out." May said out loud and Red didn't respond to her. He possibly just grumbled how his sisters hate him and stuff.

"Well, it's time for us to go." Drew said standing up. Paul stood up and so did Dawn.

"Already?" Leaf asked.

"We have to prepare for our concert tour to Johto. Sorry that we need to go this early." Jimmy said, mostly to Marina.

"Uh, can anyone see us here?" Misty said waving her hand between the couple.

The boys left and the girls sighed. "I can't believe our life as a singer is almost over." Dawn opened her mouth.

"When are we going to tell them?" May asked.

"We are keeping it a secret until we announce it to the public." Misty and Leaf said.

"Okay, no need to be so mother-like."

"I am always mother like, I mean, sister-like to you. I am not a mother, I'm a sister to you, remember?" Leaf asked.

"Sometimes I just can't remember. We spent to long as a friend that I just can't get used to sisterhood." May said.

"Whatever." Leaf said "Anyway, I was going to shop with Red,"

"Ooh, can I come?" Dawn asked.

"If you want Red to flirt with you, I guess."

"Never mind." Dawn said, swaying her hand.

"What are we going to do now?" Zoey asked

"Write the speech that we will have to say when the time comes." May suggested.

"Well that's your job." Zoey said with a frown.

"I'm not going to quit my job as composer unlike you guys. Anyway, what are you going to be after stop being the member of Divine Diva? Anything in your mind?" Zoey questioned.

"You will see during the final speech." Leaf said with giggle, standing up from the sofa to get ready to leave.

"Aw come on! After so many songs I've wrote for you, you guys won't even tell me about what you want to be after this?" Zoey complained at the members.

"I don't see what you writing songs for us have to do with this." May said.

Zoey couldn't find the word to retort to this so she crossed her arms and frowned at them. The girls, after Leaf left to Walmart with Red, all took out a sheet of paper and started to write down what they were going to say when they declare their retirement. Dawn, Marina and Misty didn't really had hard time writing this up because they had already decided what they want to do. However May seemed like she couldn't decide on the word she want to say.

"Guys." The girls looked up from the paper and changed the attention toward May.

"How can you decide what you will do that easily?"

"I just think of what I'm good at and what I like and if there's a job like that, I just want to do that." Marina said like it was nothing.

"And yours is…?"

"Oh, I'm not telling yah. We've all made promise no telling until the announcement." Marina reminded May who groaned and leaned on the table, her head on it as well. "I don't know what I should do!" She yelled in frustration which got muffled because of the table.

"I don't know what to do!" She repeated.

"Just say you are not sure of what doing and want to find it peacefully at college!" Dawn said, getting annoyed.

"That sounds like a good idea but I don't like it." May said without looking up.

"Then what do you want us to do for you?" Misty asked.

"I don't know… I will think about it in my room." May said standing up and going upstairs.

After Dawn heard the door close she turned to her friends, "Something has changed about her." She said as she took a sip of orange juice. She wrote something on her paper.

"You are supposed to write down what you are going to say to the public, not doodle on it." Misty said to Marina but Dawn flinched because she just realized she was doodling on the paper.

"I didn't mean to!" Dawn said and Misty stared at her. "I was talking to Marina." Dawn turned slightly red in embarrassment.

"I really can't wait to go to college now." Marina said.

"You chose, right?" Misty asked and Marina nodded.

"Yup, turns out singing wasn't totally my thing but I did find what I want to do." She said.

"Wonder what it is." Misty said, resting her head on her palm as she looked at her cousin.

"Well, I know what you want to be." Marina said.

"Don't tell me you read my paper."

"No, you wanted to be you know, and you never told me that you gave up." Misty smiled and looked up at the ceiling. She stood up, "Where are you going?" Dawn asked.

"Marina's right. I haven't gave up yet. I am going to make reservation for a plane ride to Kanto."

"Make one for me too! For Johto!" Marina said.

"Make your own. Dawn, any hint for us too?" Misty asked.

"I'm, going far away from here."

"Thanks, that really helped." Marina said with a small laugh.

"I am. And I will miss you guys." Zoey, who was keeping the silence, hugged Dawn.

"Girls, the press interview is about to start soon." Asita said.

"It's sad that this will be the last time for me to see you girls." She said. And the six did the group hug.

"Press interview for Divine Diva's retirement. It had been all over the news for a week. They are even broadcasting this on LIVE!" Zoey said.

"And you are doing this when your boyfriends are not here."

"They will stop us if they were in Sinnoh and besides, this was planned from the start." Dawn said.

"Wonder what we were thinking back then. I never knew I will feel this sad about this job." Marina said.

"Oh come on, you know that it was planned and it was meant to be. And it's done, we can't stop right now. Not when we are waiting for the press interview to start in about like," Misty checked the clock, "20 minutes."

"I know, I'm being little selfish. But aren't you guys nervous? Divine Diva being finally over?" Marina asked.

"I know, both fic and the group." Zoey muttered while looking at the phone.

"What did you just say?" Leaf asked.

"Nothing."

"Are you sure?" May butted in.

"Yeah, I'm really sure." Leaf and May gave her a suspicious look but since they didn't think it was a big deal they decided to just ignore it and focus on what they were going to say in front of those reporters and journalists out there looking for a hook.

And for the next 20 minutes they were silent with their nose stuck in the paper, trying to memorize the words.

"Girls, it's time." Asita said with sad smile. The girls stood up from their seat and after taking a deep breath they headed out of the room and walked up to the stage. The reporters and journalists were filling the room and there were flashing coming from all over the room. And there were cameras that will broadcast this moment all over Sinnoh. As the girls took seat on the long table and when Dawn cleared her throat the room became silent.

"First to start with, our contract with Adelheit is due next week. So we were going to retire anyway." Dawn said.

"And the thing that we actually took debut as Divine Diva, we are so lucky. We were never intending to be a singer, we wanted to just try something new and there we were, the top stars of Sinnoh." Dawn looked at May for her to continue.

"And even though it might be sad and even I feel weird and disappointed about this but we need to move on. We are sorry for having your hopes down on us but this was planned from the start and a lot of us has future plans that we really wants to have." May said with sad but determined smile.

One of the reporters raised her hand, "Excuse me, but would you girls care to tell us about your future plans?" The other reporters nodded in agreement. The girls looked at Zoey, who was sitting there for no reason, to start. Zoey realized that everyone was staring at her so she coughed a little and started.

"As you know, I'm keeping my job as song producer but I am going to work with various artists, not just Divine Diva. I'm going to Nimbasa City to study about theaters and musical composing. That's my plan. And until I graduate from college I am taking a break from this job, but I will return." Zoey finished and the reporters jotted down.

Leaf started, "As you know my family owns the Green Company and both my brother and I are going to run the company soon. My brother in the producing part and me on the porting part. I was born to do this and it is honestly the only thing that keeps me entertained other than singing. I really enjoyed my year and a half of stage life but my parents has high hope on both me and my brother and also I want this. I am staying in Sinnoh and I am going to Canalave City to study about things that I will need. I am truly sorry for letting you down but this is farewell." The camera flashed a little as Leaf ended her sentence.

Leaf elbowed Misty to start, "As you know I love swimming. And as much as I love swimming I love water and the ocean. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a marine biologist. I may not be as smart as Leaf or my cousin Marina but I never gave up on this and I actually got into Cerulean City University! I am going to do my best as marine biologist and it was really lucky for me to experience being a singer and I really loved my fans. Thank you."

Misty tapped Marina's shoulder who had tears in her eyes a bit.

"Even though my life as Divine Diva is over my new life is about to start. In my years as Divine Diva I saw the other careers and I just realized I am not giving up being on stage. I am going to Goldenrod City, study there on acting and I will return as an actress. I hope to see you later and until then I thank you." Marina said, wiping tears out of her eyes.

May, who was right next to Marina started on her own because now Marina was sobbing.

"Well I may be similar with Marina. I never had a thing I wanted to do unlike other girls. But when I became the member of Divine Diva I felt like I belong here and that is why I decided to remain as singer. I'm going to Hoenn and I will train to be a better singer. I will see my fans again in few years. I am sad the days I worked with my friends are over but I will try my best as solo. Thank you."

Dawn cleared her throat, looked among the crowd and then the camera. "Some of you would know that I'm from an orphanage and without Leaf's parent's help I wouldn't be here. I had some dark days of my life in those time and what kept me alive and happy was my friends and clothes. I always wanted to have a job associated with cloths. I want to be a fashion designer and a stylist. And even though in my days of Divine Diva I had never stop dreaming about that. Now it's time for me to get closer to my old dream. I am leaving for Kalos next week to start my new life. I hope you will forget Dawn Berlitz as singer and from now on I will be Dawn Berlitz as student and later fashion designer. Thank you and I'm sorry for disappointing you but I can't give up on my dream." Dawn finished her long speech and after answering dozens of questions from reporters and bowing politely, they left the stage.

From today, Divine Diva is only in history.

Leaf knocked the door and opened it, the room was a mess. She sighed and picked up a jacket from the floor and tossed it at the bag near it.

"I wasn't going to take that jacket, please leave it down." Dawn said her eyes not leaving the red Samsung Galaxy note Adelheit got her. She was apparently designing some clothes. May got a black iPad, Leaf got white one, Misty and Zoey got new MacBook and Marina got Samsung laptop as a farewell and good luck gift.

"So you are leaving the day after tomorrow, right?" Leaf asked sitting next to her on the bed. Dawn looked up and nodded.

"Hope you are okay. Where are you going to stay?"

"Dormitory, duh." Dawn said.

"Oh, right." Leaf said and the girls were silence for a moment as they looked at each other into the eyes.

"I'm going to miss you." Dawn said.

"You are always welcome home."

"And the other girls?"

"They are too."

"Can't believe May left first. I hope she's having good time."

"She's a type of girl who's you know, no news is a good news. I'm sure she's fine. And you are going to be as well."

"Take care of Sinnoh for me." Dawn said with smile.

"I will." Leaf answered.

It was time for Dawn's leaving and Leaf followed her to the airport with Zoey who still had few days until leaving. Kenny followed them along.

"Good luck." Zoey said.

"You too." Dawn said and they embraced each other for a moment.

After releasing each other Dawn faced Leaf, "Sorry we are leaving this to you." She apologized.

"Don't worry. With me and my money they can't really harm me." Leaf said with a laugh.

"Still, they will get mad for not telling them." Dawn said.

"Kenny will be with me don't worry." Leaf said.

"Speaking of which, how's it going on with you and Kenny?" Dawn Zoey asked with teasing tone. Both Kenny and Zoey turned mad, glanced at each other and smiled. Kenny grabbed Zoey's hand and smiled, "Fairly well I think." Zoey said and Dawn smiled.

She checked the time and after other hugs she left Sinnoh.

Paul dropped the mug he was holding while reading articles on his laptop. Glass shattered into pieces and his friends jumped in surprise.

"Watch it!" Drew said.

"What's going on?" Reggie asked.

Paul turned the laptop and showed what he was reading to the boys they gathered around, started to read and gasped in surprise.

"They are retiring?! How come we've never heard of this before?" Drew said.

"They did this without even talking to us. And look, they are leaving Sinnoh, except for yours, Gary." Jimmy said, taking a sip of his coke.

"What are we going to do?" Ash asked with nervous tone.

The guys were silent and Reggie left the room. "What do you think we should do?" Paul asked. "Are we still going to keep singing?"

"Just because they stopped doesn't mean that we have to stop." Jimmy said even though he tried to sound fine he seemed to be the one who was hurt the most.

"But, I actually want to stop." Everyone turned to Gary.

"Look, I know you guys like this job and we've been doing this for past few years and it is not easy for us to stop… But my grandpa from Kanto just sent me something that I just can't miss. He wants me to work with him after I graduate college. I seriously want to work with him….. I don't think I can do this anymore. We've got college to go to and I just want this to be our teenage life memory. Lots of nice things happened but I really wanted to go back to my old life." Gary said.

The guys looked at each other.

"What do you think?" Drew asked Paul. Ash dropped his food, "Maybe Gary is right. I want to go back to hometown, and I want to do something other than this. I miss Kanto too much and I want to stay there. I really like you guys but this is something else."

"What are you going to do when you go back?" Jimmy asked.

"Well, I want to be a chef. Mom always liked my cooking." He said with faint smile with genuine happiness.

"So who's agreeing to retire from BLACK ROCK SHOOTER?" Drew asked. Gary, Ash and Paul raised their hands.

"Jimmy?"

"Well, I just hope this didn't mean nothing to you. I really enjoyed being with you but I am not going to stop singing. I love singing and I am going to keep doing it."

"We support ya buddy." Ash said with a pat on the shoulder.

"Thanks." Jimmy said and the two embraced each other.

"Stop being a girl and let's go." Paul said with a slight growl.

"Wait." Drew said. His look bit uncertain than minute ago.

"Is this really that easy to decide on?" Everyone froze.

"Don't you think we should think about it at least a month?" Everyone looked at each other. "But we are going back to Sinnoh this week. And it's not like we have any huge schedule for a while." Ash said.

"That's because we are leaving for college soon. See Drew, we are supposed to leave." Gary said.

"But let's just think. This is a very important matter and you know it. Just because you got a letter from your Grandpa doesn't mean you can abandon rest of us and just fly across the globe and go to Kanto."

They were silent for a moment. Everyone was thinking until Paul broke the silence, "Let's just pack and prepare to leave." As soon as he finished his sentence the rest stood up from their seats and started to pack, still thinking about the matter.

Leaf was packing her suitcase as well. The felt empty and cold now thinking about leaving. She smiled a little. This room was the room she spent most of her life time in, and even though she got used to living in dormitory it still felt weird to leave this place. She sighed, when she came back to her room 2 months ago she felt like she was never ever going to leave this place but boy she was wrong. She sat on the bed and smoothed the lime green sheet and sighed. Suddenly she heard something downstairs.

She stood up and walked toward the door and was about to grab the knob but the door opened first. Gary, looking mad, sad, and disappointed, was standing right in front of her with other guys behind him.

"We need full explanation." He said.

Leaf glanced at the other guys and moved sideways, "Come in." She said. Her room was practically empty except for bed, desk, closet, table and few chairs. Leaf sat on one of the chairs, her legs crossed. The rest sat on the bed or leftover chairs.

"You guys probably watched the interview so let's just make it quick. Any questions?"

"Yeah, why didn't you tell us?" Jimmy asked as soon as Leaf finished her sentence. Leaf looked at other guys, now her arms crossed as well.

"Because you guys probably will say 'no' to our idea. And just to tell you, we were going to retire even if you stop us."

"That doesn't explain why you didn't tell us." Drew pointed out.

Leaf rolled her eyes, "We thought you would keep us annoyed." She finally said.

"Honestly?" Gary asked. He sounded hurt. A lot. "Did you really think we would annoy you?" Ash asked.

"Not only me, all girls did. The only guy who knew was Kenny. And don't you dare whine about him knowing and you don't. We've known him longer than we knew you guys. And he has rights to know."

"And we don't? Seriously? I'm your boyfriend, Leaf. And except for Paul everyone here has a girlfriend in Divine Diva." Gary said, his face bit red.

"Listen, it's settled. You guys cannot change anything. I'm going to Canalave tomorrow and everyone else, including Zoey left. Now if you want to go after your girlfriends, go. I am not going to waste my time here anymore so just go." Leaf stood up and one by one she dragged the boys out of the room and with a little help from Red the boys were out of the mansion, standing in front of the door, their eyes blank.

"What are we going to do?" Jimmy asked.

"Whatever, we are on our own now. I'm going to Kanto." Ash said walking away.

"Where are you going?" Drew called out. "To Hotel." Ash answered without looking back. "For now." Jimmy joked and Drew snickered.

"What about you guys?" Gary asked, "What are you guys going to do?"

"What can I do? I have to go after her. I know that's what you guys are going to do anyway. Catch up to you all later." Drew said and then he walked away. The remaining three glanced at each other.

"Paul, what are you going to do?" Paul didn't say anything for a long time and then he started walking, saying, "I guess I will try once more." The others, looked at each other and ran after him.

Paul left the hotel the next morning and headed to the airport. He was wearing grey blazer royal blue button up shirt, grey pants, black fedora and hid himself with black sunglasses. He was pulling carrier and shushed every staff members who saw his passport and recognized him. He got onto the plane (of course, first class) and he fell into deep sleep, while thinking about what to say to Dawn when he see her.

Dawn was at the dormitory, looking through the phone because she's got nothing better else to do. She was already becoming popular when the school hasn't even started yet. Since people knew who she was she was pretty much being followed by lots of boys and girls. She stood up from the bed and dressed into pastel pink one piece dress, white cardigan jacket and undid her ponytail to curl it at the end a little. Then she got into her white sandals, picked up a small pink clutch and left the room.

She walked down the Boutique Couture and looked around the clothes. Her job used to be a singer gave her the access to enter the store. She bought few clothes that were pretty expensive but since she was pretty rich she could buy few that she really wanted. She paid for them all and when she walked out of the boutique the rain was pouring down. The sun was still high up, blazing down but the water was pouring down like mad. She went back into the store asked if they have umbrella in the store but unfortunately this was the shop which only sells something you can actually decorate your body with.

She sighed as she stared outside, hoping the rain would stop shortly but it didn't seem like it was going to stop any second. She sighed and hung the shopping bags on her arm and asked the shop clerk for few more shopping bags so she can run up to the nearest convenient store and buy un umbrella.

She covered her head with the bags and quickly ran to the store. The street were filled with people like her so she didn't have to worry about getting stared at. She was getting close to the store but when she arrived the clerk had left the store to go to bathroom and the store was locked.

"Just my luck." She mumbled as she thought about whether she should leave or not but then the rain had stop falling on her. She looked up and saw purple umbrella covering her. She blinked then looked aside and gasped.

"Paul? What are you doing here?" She asked, trying not to freak out.

"I just wanted to see the biggest city of the world." He replied, looking down at her.

"Well, thanks." She said and they just stood there for a minute until Paul opened his mouth, "Would you like me to walk you to the dorm?" He asked.

"Would you? Thank you so much." Dawn said. Paul even offered to hold some of her shopping bags. She gave him only one out of four though. She felt sorry for him.

"Dawn?"

"Yes."

"I wanted to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"Would you like to be my girlfriend?"

Dawn felt small smile forming on her face. She closed her eyes slightly, stopped for a moment. Paul stopped as well.

"Paul?" Dawn looked up at the purple haired man.

"What is it?"

"Thank you." Dawn said as she gently placed her hands on his shoulders, did a tip-toe and placed her lips on his. Paul was completely frozen even when Dawn hugged him.

"Thank you."

-the AND-

Thank you for reading Divine Diva, I'm sorry for the horrible ending but this horrible and terrible ending is something I actually planned since the beginning of the story.

I've got tie on Green Society and Yoru Hana. I will discuss the matter with my brother and one of them, the prologue will be uploaded next month. But those of you who wanted Green Society, I don't think you should get your hopes high up since I'm not that much ready with that one.

Thank you

I will come back with the epilogue and my final words for this story
