"So..."
"What?"
"I don't know."
Buttercup raised an eyebrow at Butch. He stared back at her. "Whatcha looking at?" she questioned. Butch just rolled his eyes and stood up from the table. He exited the kitchen and went out to the living room. That left her just sitting there.
Now she wanted to ask him something. Buttercup followed him and sat next to him on the couch.
Buttercup started a conversation, "Hey Butch, can I ask you something?" She didn't look into his eyes, just looked down on the floor. He glanced at her.
"What is it?" he replied.
She smirked at him.
Blossom looked out the window. "So peaceful..." she muttered to herself.
Bubbles was sitting on the couch watching her. "Should you really..?" Bubbles silently questioned. She nodded, still staring out.
Blossom let out a groan. She grabbed her jacket and keys. Then she headed out the door. Bubbles closed her eyes and sighed.
"Dear God, should she really be doing this?"
She stood up and looked out the window.
"No, I'm serious."
Buttercup raised an eyebrow at him. "Okay, okay. So, I've been curious about asking you something."
He payed attention to it. She continued, "Do you like me?"
Her eyebrows were raised, her look stern at him. He was nervous.
Should he just tell her the truth or stay quiet the whole time? Butch would rather choose the second choice.
"Are you going to answer me?" her voice quiet, heard to him only. He didn't say anything.
"Ahh... I'm so tired!"
Both of them turned to see him. Brick came down the stairs and yawned really loud. Once he was done, he blinked at the two.
"Oh, I'm sorry to interrupt. I wanted a glass of water." He walked to the kitchen door. Brick paused a little and looked at Butch and Buttercup. "You two better get sleeping. It's almost midnight." He walked into the kitchen.
Both of them looked at each other. Buttercup got up, then Butch after. "Bye."
She walked upstairs, her hands behind her back. She didn't look behind.
He stood there, thinking.
"I should have answered her!" he yelled to himself, messing up his hair in frustration. Butch flopped down on the couch, sighing.
Buttercup shut the door and slid down it until she hit the floor. She groaned and ran a hand through her black locks.
"I knew I shouldn't have asked that question!" she shouted. "I'm so stupid!" Both of her hands covered her eyes. Buttercup let them down and got up.
She laid flat on her bed, one hand on her stomach. She just stared at the ceiling, not giving a crap.
Then fell into a deep sleep.
"I couldn't do anything!"
"Well, you shouldn't-"
"No! It's not about that! Maybe I should call my cousin, Berserk. Maybe she knows where Buttercup is."
Blossom yanked her phone out of her pocket and started to dial Berserk's number. Bubbles just looked at her.
"Hey, girl. Do you know where Buttercup is?" Blossom spoke, turning her back on Bubbles who just rolled her eyes.
"Maybe I should ask Brute or Brat. I'll let you know in a while." Berserk replied.
She nodded. "Okay, call ya later." And hung up.
Blossom put her phone in her back pocket and went upstairs.
"Buttercup! Dangerous news!"
Brute came banging on Buttercup's door until she opened it. "What is it?"
She looked at her with worried eyes. Buttercup let her come in.
"It's about your sister, Blossom. She wants to find you as soon as she can and she contacted Berserk." Brute responded quickly. Her eyes widened. "Dude, tell your sister that I moved to Citiesville."
"What the hell? I ain't lying to her, dude. Nope." She popped the "p", crossed her arms and closed her eyes. Buttercup rolled her eyes and put a hand on her hip.
"Okay, okay. Then give me your phone." She put an arm out. Brute opened one eye and grabbed her phone from her back pocket. She gave it to Buttercup who turned her back on Brute and began to text Berserk.
She thought that she was gonna text to her, "Hey, Buttercup hates your fucking guts. Shut the fuck up and leave her alone." Brute shuddered.
Buttercup began to text, saying it out loud so Brute can hear her. "Dear Berserk, Buttercup had moved to Viletown and somewhere roaming around the city. Please tell Blossom that." -she pressed the send button- "And send!" She handed it back to Brute. "At least say you're welcome."
She walked to the door, opened it, and exited it. Buttercup gave Brute a wink before going to the living room.
Brute looked at her phone. "What a great liar." And walked back to her room.
Blossom's phone rang. She looked at it and saw it was from Berserk.
"What's up?" she answered.
"Dude. Brute had sent me a text saying that Buttercup is in Viletown where she is roaming around. I don't know, this is what she sent me." Berserk spoke. Through the phone she heard a familiar voice. "Yo, Berserk! Where the hell is Brute?" Brat.
"She's at her house. Don't you remember? She got her own house now with our three idiotic brothers living with her!" Blossom heard Berserk yell at her blonde sister. "Oh okay." Was all Brat said and got silent.
"Sorry, Blossom. Just sisters talking." She chuckled. "Well, call me back unless you hear any word." "Sure, sure. Byeee!"
"See ya." Both hung up. "In Viletown, hmm?" She faced the window. "Bubbles!" she called.
Bubbles came running down the stairs, approaching Blossom. "Anything wrong?" she asked. "I'm going for a little trip to Viletown. You coming or what?"
She thought about this for a while. Blossom took off her red bow and let down her hair. Her auburn hair reached her ankles.
"Of course." Bubbles replied. "I don't wanna be alone in the house, though. When are we leaving?" Blossom turned around.
Her pink eyes looking into her sister's light blue eyes. "Tonight, for sure."
"Butch!" Brute yelled. He came running down the stairs. "Brick! Boomer!" Buttercup yelled. Both brothers ran down, Boomer almost tripped down the way. The Greens stifled their laughter at Boomer.
He managed to get down to where everyone was. "Shut up!" Boomer hissed. All four rolled their eyes.
Butch crossed his arms. "The point into getting us down here?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow. Brick and Boomer too did the same.
Buttercup and Brute exchanged glances. Then smirked. Brute looked at the three brothers. "Last night, Buttercup told me that she's going to be leaving soon!" She began to hug Buttercup. Brute muttered into her ear, "Play along."
"Yeah, I'm leaving today." Buttercup lied. All three boys' faces turned downcast. Butch complained, "What? Today? No! Please don't leave us! You're like a sister to us all..." he hugged Buttercup's legs. Brick and Boomer did too.
Brute tried to pry them off of her legs. "Stop acting like a bunch of fucking three-year-olds, damn it!" she scolded. "But I don't want her to leave." Boomer whined.
Brute winked. "Well, if you don't want Buttercup to leave..." she waited for Buttercup to continue.
She laughed. "Brick, Boomer, Butch..." -dramatic pause- "... you guys have to do all our laundry for the next couple months!" The two girls burst out laughing.
"What?!" All boys said in sync. "Okay. If that's what the lady wants, we have to do it!" Brick stood up like a leader would. "Let's go!" Butch yelled out. And they ran off to the laundry room.
Once they heard the door shut, Buttercup and Brute high-fived each other. "Yeah! They fell for our plan!" Buttercup exclaimed. Brute shushed her. "They might hear us."
"Oh god..." She couldn't stop laughing.
The sun had set. Night came in and replaced the sun with a bright, full moon.
"Come on," Blossom gestured Bubbles to get in her red convertible with pink flames on it. "O-okay." Bubbles got in and shut the car door.
Blossom smiled and backed out of the driveway. "On our way to find you Buttercup." she muttered to herself.
"So how long until we reach Viletown?" Bubbles asked her overwhelming sister. "I guess from Townsville to Viletown... I think two hours." she replied.
"Mmm." Bubbles pursed her lips and looked out the window. There stood many stars in the dark sky. She stared long at the bright star and wished that her toughest sister is okay.
As Blossom drove, she muttered something under her breath about Buttercup. "Searching for you, dear sister."
It was 10:45 p.m. and Blossom saw a sign that read: "Exit to Viletown". The red convertible went down the off-ramp and headed into the city called Viletown.
She glanced over at Bubbles. Her blonde sister was already sleeping. Her eyes were now focused on the road. "Maybe I should get an apartment for who knows how long we'll be here."
A few minutes later of driving, Blossom headed to an apartment named Viletown Apartments. She parked in the parking lot and woke Bubbles up slowly. She mumbled something.
"Hey, Bubbles. We're gonna stay here for a little while until we find our sister." Blossom assured her. Bubbles nodded and exited the car alongside Blossom.
They walked into the building, stopping by the landlord's office. "Wait here, Bubbles. I'll be back." She entered into the office, while Bubbles sat by a nearby chair. She crossed her legs and waited for her sister to come out. It was great that no one was in the lobby, for sure.
"We'll find you. I'm sure."
