Chapter 52: Day VII; The Last Day
Finally…
It is the seventh day, the last day of the Irtha Calendar… This is also the last day of their adventure…
It is the last day that Link and his friends will have a chance to stop the god's ritual to clean the living creature from the world. In order to stop the ritual, Link and his friends need eight pieces of the Mirror of Nightmare. The first one is kept by Zelda, the princess of Hyrule. The second one is kept by the Sword of Justice of the Lost Undersea City. The third on is kept by Ho-Oh of the Landwind Ruins. The fourth one is kept by Zygarde, the ruler of the Afterlife. The fifth one is kept by the sorceress Iris the Mewtwo. The sixth one is kept by the Lost King of Kingdom of the Dragonking, King Baron the Shiny Haxorus. The seventh one is kept by the formal servant of the god, Link's nemesis, and the one that was known as the Mysterious Demon, Frostic the Kyurem.
Ultil now, the rest thing that Link and his friends need to do is to find the last piece of the Mirror of Nightmare… But… Where is it?
After getting enough rest, Link, Navi, Rucas, Diasol, Yterval, Anna, King Baron, Xynnia and Frostic meet Zelda at the Hyrule Castle, secret garden in order to ask her about what to do next. And for Latios and Latias, Anna asked both of them to go back to the Kingdom of the Dragonking first…
Zelda looks at seven pieces of the Mirror of Nightmare, before she looks at Iris's notebook.
"The deepest and the darkest place of Irtha… Hm… There are many mysterious place in Irtha… But you had went to all of them already… I don't think that the piece of the Mirror of Nightmare will be kept in the same place…" Zelda says.
"And we have only one day left!" Diasol says.
"Diasol, calm down…" Yterval says.
"We don't have much time to explore the whole Irtha, and it isn't a wise idea to divide our group…" Zelda says.
"But hey… Do we have any choice left?" King Baron asks.
"Hm…" Zelda asks.
"Then, why don't we ask his opinion?" King Baron says.
"Whom?" Anna asks.
"The holder of the Triforce of Emotion." King Baron says, and then everyone turns their attention to the holder of the Triforce of Emotion, Frostic the Kyurem.
"Hm! As I though, only the holder of the Triforce of Knowledge that can realize it." Frostic says.
"Frostic, do you know the location of the last piece of the Mirror of Nightmare?" Anna asks.
"Don't ask me with that silly question. I was the servant of the god, so I know." Frostic says.
"Really?!" Navi asks.
"Do you think that someone like me could kid you?" Frostic says.
"Then, where is it?" Diasol asks.
"… In the Palace of Legend." Frostic says.
Upon hearing the location of the last piece of the Mirror of Nightmare, everyone seems to be worry. Because they had explored the whole dungeon already, but they didn't find anything…
"Um… But we had explored the whole dungeon already…" Yterval says.
"Hm! Do you think that the palace of the nasty god would be as small as that? Never! The whole palace is much bigger than that!" Frostic says.
"You want to tell us that there are so many hidden areas in the Palace of Legend, right?" King Baron says.
"Then, let's go!" Navi says.
But then…
"!" Everyone is shocked, because Zelda's body is glowing with a strange light, like… Iris!
"What?!" Navi says.
"… It seems like that I will not make it through the end…" Zelda says.
"But!" Diasol says.
"Everyone, worry not about me! Please focus on your mission!" Zelda says.
"Princess Zelda! You can't die like this!" Rucas says.
"… It is my fate… I must accept it…" Zelda says.
"…" Everyone says nothing.
"Link… You… are the last hope of people in Hyrule… No… The last hope of the people in Irtha. You must stop the god from his plan… Please… Do it for the sake of me and everyone…" Zelda says.
Link says nothing and nods his head.
"Thank… Link… I am so happy… That I have a chance to meet you all… I will never forget you all…Thank you…" Zelda says before her body fades away…
It seems like that the time had stopped… Everything in the world fall into the deep silence. Link, Navi, Rucas, Diasol, Yterval, Anna, King Baron, Xynnia and Frostic stand in front of where Zelda was standing… Everyone's heart is breaking, especially Link's…
"… Link…" Navi says.
"…Link… I know your feeling… Because… In the deep of my memory…" Rucas says, but then, Link punches the wall.
"Link?!" Everyone says.
Link looks at everyone with the eyes of determination… It seems like that he will not forgive the god no matter what…
"Then, we must stop the god…" Diasol says.
"Then get your butt moving already." Frostic says and walks out of the secret garden of Hyrule Castle. Diasol, Xynnia, Yterval, Anna and King Baron follow him.
"…Link, let's go." Navi says and follows Frostic.
"…" Link is about to follow Frostic when someone calls his name…
"Link…" Rucas says.
"?" Link looks at Rucas.
"… Before I met you and Navi in that village… In my early life… I had lost someone whom I love utterly… But… Now she had gone… I know your feeling because she was gone before my eyes…" Rucas says and follows Frostic.
Link thinks of Rucas's word... Before something gets into his head…
About his 2nd and 5th dream…
About the feral Pokemon who killed the entire villagers…
"!" Link looks at Rucas who is following Frostic while thinking of something.
'Don't tell me that… He is…' Link thinks and looks at Rucas, before he realizes that his Triforce mark starts glowing…
'… Rucas….' Link thinks.
