Mirror of Nightmare
Chapter 53: PoLIS; Four Trials
LD: Hey! Pokedragon! Where is the Day VII at the chapter's title?! And what the xxxx is PoLIS?!
Pokedragon: Since the rest of the story will take place in the Day VII, so there is no need to write it… And… The rest of this story will took place inside the last dungeon, so…
LD: I see… PoLIS is the abbreviation of the name of the last dungeon… Which is the Palace of Legend… What?!
Pokedragon: It is the Palace of Legend Inner Sanctum
Frostic takes everyone to the throne room of the Palace of Legend. It is the place where Link and his friends met the god for the first time.
"…So… You said that there are more rooms in this dungeon, right?" Rucas says.
"Yes. There is the Inner Sanctum of this palace that you still didn't explore…" Frostic says.
"Then, how can we open the portal to the Inner Sanctum?" Diasol asks.
"…The path will be open by the present of the seven pieces of the Mirror of Nightmare…" Frostic says.
After hearing Frostic's word, Link picks seven pieces of the Mirror of Nightmare from his bag and puts them together, making a Mirror of Nightmare that lacks its center, which is the last piece of the itself.
Suddenly, the whole room starts shaking, before the throne disappears, opens the way that leads to the Inner Sanctum!
"Yes! We did it!" Navi says.
"Don't get too excited… The Inner Sanctum area of this dungeon is a lot bigger, trickier, harder than any dungeon that you had faced so far…" Frostic says.
Dungeon IX: Palace of Legend Inner Sanctum
After passing through the portal, Link and his friends find themselves in a very large hall, much like Snowlost Temple's main hall. The difference between Snowlost Temple and this place is this place has six doors that lead to other rooms, not four rooms like Snowlost Temple's main hall. The first door is the door that Link and his friends had passed from the Palace of Legend. There is a room in the opposite side of the first door, which has a large Triforce mark on itself. There are two doors on the left side of the hall, and two doors on the right side of the hall.
"Several doors… Again?!" Navi says.
"The door on the opposite side of us is sealed by the mysterious power…" Yterval says.
"It looks like that we had to pass through four doors first…" King Baron says.
"But that will be a very long detour!" Diasol says.
"…It will ONLY long if you are idiot." Frostic says.
"Hey!" Diasol says.
"There is the ancient alphabet on those doors…" Frostic says.
Everyone looks at four doors. All of them have a strange alphabet.
"Let me read it…" King Baron says and quickly read the alphabet on the doors…
"…The first door said that… Only the reincarnation of the Black Angel and the White Demon that can pass through…"
"…The second door said that… Only the brave Dragonking/Dragonqueen that can pass through…"
"…The third door said that… Only the Soulless Angel and the Heartless Demon that can pass through…"
"…The last door said that… Only the Heroes from the opposite side of the Mirror that can pass through…"
"So… We must divide our group…" Navi says.
"The Reincarnation of the Black Angel and the White Demon… That must be Yterval and I because Zygarde told us about that…" Diasol says.
"The Dragonking and Dragonqueen are King Baron and I…" Anna says.
"…I have no soul… And… Frostic said that he has no heart…" Xynnia mumbles.
"The hero must be you! Link!" Navi says.
"But… What about the twin heroes from the opposite side of the Mirror?" Rucas asks.
"Anyway… We must part now… See you!" Diasol and Yterval say before they unseal the first door and pass through it…
"Let's go, Anna." King Baron says. Then Anna and King Baron unseal the second door and pass through it…
While Diasol, Yterval, King Baron and Anna pass through their door, Xynnia and Frostic quietly walk into the third door…
Finally, only three living creature left… They are Link, Navi and Rucas.
"Hey! I got it!" Navi says.
"What?" Rucas says.
"The twin heroes from the opposite side of the Mirror… That must be Link and Rucas for sure!" Navi says.
"What?!" Rucas says, and Link makes a surprise face.
"See? I start to see that Link and Rucas have many things in common, such as brave hearts, the soul of justice and virtue. And… Link is human while Rucas is the Pokemon! You two are the counterpart of each other!" Navi says.
"Hm… Interesting… But…" Rucas says.
"But?" Navi says.
"… If both of us are the counterpart of each other… It means that… One of us are truly exist… And other was born as the other side of the mirror of the another… Then… Who is the true side of the hero?" Rucas asks.
That is the unanswerable question. Link and Navi just say nothing, as well as Rucas who couldn't answer his own question.
"… Maybe we could find it out in the last door." Rucas says.
"Then, let's go!" Navi says.
Link and Rucas look at the counterpart of each other with the eye of determination. They start to realize that one of them is truly exist… While the another not...
Link, Navi and Rucas step into the last door, leaving the main hall of the Palace of Legend Inner Sanctum empty…
While entering the door, Link starts thinking about something…
If Rucas and himself are the counterpart of each other… Then… Rucas should has it as well…
The Triforce…
Until now, only the Triforce of Willpower that still lost… Then… Maybe…
Rucas…
Maybe he is the true holder of the Triforce of Willpower…
To Be Continue…
LD: So, some next chapters will be a boring trial of each group…
Pokedragon: Nah… The story is almost end… So I have to complete the inside story of each characters…
