damonika2009: You got it. The black mail thing was a last minute idea once I finished off the sex scene. I kinda still want one of the girls to catch them in the act…and not via a dream sequence. Lol
kera69love: he does have a life…destroying others while maintaining his playboy lifestyle. lol
AimlesslyGera: they were a little to pre-occupied to notice him. oh and with the maroon 5 guy…he is actually cutie. Not hot but cutie.
trish1573: a little spoiler here but Akito doesn't get destroyed. But Chibi Usa is finally seeing the reality of things.
Em: there is trouble coming their way. A Mamo and Akito confrontation will come & while yes he's a rich snob it wasn't email I was thinking of but a connection cord for a USB port. I'm not familiar very much with Iphones but it sounded like something someone with money (Not myself) would have. My phone is just, it won't send them through email. Though it'll send it to any other phone. Lol as for Chibi Usa, shes seeing the reality of things now and is getting things in order.
Setsuna-Chan22: the Akito and photo thing won't be for another minute, its was kind of like a 'remember this for later' thing. As for usagi and her papa, read and find out.
CynDLou12: glad you liked the sex scene. I wanted to put more self-defense moves in and had an idea for a sex maneuver but got side tracked by the idea of Motoki coming in. Akito will get his dues but not for some time now. Though I almost had him faling from the last one, but I didn't want for Usagi and Mamo to hear him.
Guest (1): Mamo will get his lickings in on him. lol as for dreams of passionate past, just finished getting caught up as I hadn't even know it was out there. Pretty good I must say, though her frustration sexually frustrated me. lol I have been there myself so I was reminiscing. lol
NeoPrincessRini: the outers will eventually give in but their in this area right now where if they give in and loose they will loose faith in Moon completely so by not having that faith outwardly it helps them if she does succeed in the end…sort of…
Slow Burn: it was a good work out, I'm sure we all wouldn't mind that one for ourselves! I know 'princess destiny' has some great sex scenes that she does. My absolute fav's are her 'hardcore' and even some of her 'soft' smut. I wish she'd update soon.
Nice 10 reviews….not bad, maybe this one will inspire more. Lol :D
Sailor Moon S' Rise of the Messiah' ch/ep.37
After spending the night at Mamoru's place, Chibi Usa had snuck out discovering the couple still asleep on the couch. She really appreciated Usagi for being there for her. Seeing her being motherly with Hotaru had the pink child admittedly a little bit jealous. But at the end of the day she smiled knowing that Hotaru was motherless and wanted to feel that type of connection once again. She felt silly in the end of her bitter thoughts and realized now that Usagi wasn't the same childish person she had first met.
The young woman had grown up and she knew she had refused to see it. Wanting to still pretend she wasn't good enough. The struggle of never living up to her own self-imposed ideals, being in constant competition with her future mother. Seeing her as a rival in everything as she sought to improve herself. It had been a silly, fruitless effort. She would never be as lady like or as graceful as Usagi. But that wasn't the point. She needed to be proud of who she was now and stop trying to grow up so fast.
Hotaru liked her for who she was, why couldn't she like herself? This inferiority complex she had with Usagi was tiring, but she wondered if she would ever get over it. But for now she knew that her feelings expressed were wrong. Her time spent sleeping in the loving tranquility of this apartment, along with the misery of possibly having lost her friend gave her the maturity she needed to see things for how they were. Plus as she had gotten up she went rummaging through Usagi's school satchel.
Seeing the newly improved grades had her shocked, but more so the permission slip for accelerated classes. To be constantly given exams if she were to graduate early made Chibi Usa see her differently. Getting an idea she got ready to leave the apartment dressing back in her school outfit she wore yesterday. Tip toeing down the hall, stopping momentarily to observe her two guardian's fast asleep on the couch in a tangled heap.
They should be uncomfortable, squished to tightly together upon the cushions. Mamoru was pressed up against the back cushions, with Usagi curled up in his arms in a very intimate spooning pose. Both deeply asleep and very much content in that shared pose. Chibi Usa smiled fondly at her future parents, blushing softly at the sweet moment she was being privy to. They had both snuggled with her in Mamoru's big bed until she had fallen asleep.
It felt just like home for the first time, as both her guardian's sought to comfort her. Mamoru had given her one of his button up shirts that made the best P.J's in her opinion. He had been rubbing her back in small circles, as Usagi brushing her fingers down her hair. Each soothing her to a fitful sleep in their own ways. Mirroring so much how her parents in thirtieth century Tokyo would ease her back to sleep after a nightmare.
"Arigatio, Momma, Poppa." She whispered, as she crossed the living room filled with dull morning light. Climbing up on a stool and writing a quick note saying that she would be going to school then straight home knowing if they knew she was headed over to Hotaru's place, they would try and stop her. But she needed to see if she was okay. She was desperate to check in on her friend, to make sure she was safe and sound.
The grey sky had opened up as Chibi Usa reached the Delta. Clutching her fall powder blue pea coat closer to her chin. She ran through the rainy weather her tiny feet pounded hard on the ground, splashing the puddled up over her socks. On her way Uranus, Neptune and Pluto's cruel harsh words repeated themselves in her head. She didn't want to believe in them. She didn't believe in them. She would prove them wrong.
Coming up to the Grande house she was full of determination unaware of the sad eyes that waited for her to see the reality of things. Hovering out of sight upon the roof of a neighboring mansion, Pluto watched the little girl approach the front porch. The cold rain pelting her bare arms and legs, making them sting. The dampness in her long hair making it hang heavy around her shoulders. The weather suited her somber mood.
Chibi Usa knocked a couple times, since she couldn't reach the doorbell. Finding no response she pulled on the door handle in a lame attempt to magically make someone appear to answer her. It opened and groaned inward, revealing the shadowed interior of the main hall. That fact that it was unlocked should have been her first clue. No house in that area would have been left unlocked for any reason other than a potential break in. Yet she was so desperate to find Hotaru that it didn't occur to her.
Shucking off her shoes she ran through the house to the living room, it was empty. Undeterred she ran to Hotaru's bedroom knowing her way around the mansion thanks to all the play dates she had over here during the last couple weeks. Her mind wanting to see her friend so much for a brief moment she conjured her up before reality set in. She flung the door open finding her best friends room as barren and empty as well.
It was like Hotaru had never lived here...never existed at all. Did she ever exist? Did she ever hang out with the older girl? Did she ever feel a kinship with someone like her? The shadowing figure seeing her near tears decided to come out and reveal herself.
"Plu…" Chibi Usa stated in slight shock. Setsuna looked forlorn for the small child. She was dressed in a long grey trench coat that covered her black slacks and silver blouse like a mournful shroud. Both of them had developed a small friendship over the years being only children for the longest time. But now that the Queen and King were on their way with their third child Setsuna had begun to feel a tad alone once more. Though the Queen and King in the future made it necessary for her to take part in future events.
It made the senshi less lonely and gave her a chance to see what living as a human was like. The previous senshi of Pluto was not given that luxury. Not even the previous Queen of the moon had sought her company. Usagi was different, so loving and compassionate. The senshi of Pluto cherished and envied her for it. But now it was time to try and explain things to a small pink haired child that wanted to know why her friend was gone. She couldn't understand the concept of dieing just yet.
The child was first though, "Where did you take Hotaru – chan?" Setsuna sighed, feeling after everything that was said she would be suspicious and accused of the betrayal. "Sadly I was unable to take her as we had wanted to. We could have taken care of the problem but I cannot accept the blame that as she was gone, along with everything else once I got here." Her words were honest but unforgiving to the child's distress.
"I don't believe you! It's a lie! Hotaru – chan is my friend. She wouldn't leave without telling me!" Chibi Usa accused. Setsuna conceded, "It could be that when she went back to being just Hotaru – chan again she was removed due to her poor health and was unable to contact you." Setsuna knew the actual possibilities of that was very illogical. But Chibi Usa would refuse to hear the truth.
The pink haired child cried at the very thought, "Her papa took her away due to her poor health…" that was logical for the child to understand. She refused to believe in Hotaru's being evil. Setsuna lied knowing the child would never give up hope. She didn't see the point in further tormenting her mind and heart. Chibi Usa dashed for her. Hugging her waist tight, sobbing and seeking her comfort. Setsuna crouched down and pulled her in to her arms, as Chibi Usa cried her heart out.
It was raining all over the city, this late in the fall it could turn to snow very easily as the temperature dropped. Usagi was thankful that it was only a half day of school. Mamoru had dropped her off then headed over to the University to work on his thesis. A meeting was planned after school at his apartment to discuss the new developments in this ever growing mystery enemy. Being that he had an actual internet connection he could dig into some information that Ami's computer was still to sophisticated to access to.
Usagi and Mamoru were both disheartened but grateful for the girl's impromptu timing at the apartment. Knocking on the front door as they were both starting to get rather wrapped up in one another yet again. His tie was now loose and his dress shirt half way unbuttoned as her white sweater, once a boat neck design got pulled out of shape and down over her shoulder's. The spaghetti strap tank top she had on underneath was now in full view along with more of her creamy skin.
But as much as Mamoru was being driven slightly nuts by the sexy look she was now casting him from her intimate position nestled under his chin the incessant knocking on the door that was the girls tampered that need down. Admittedly the girls were all curious on what was safe to sit on in the living room area, not wanting to sit in any 'christened' spots. Usagi having had enough of their curious stares said, and cautious attempts to find safe places to sit.
("The left side of the couch upon entering is fine, the chairs are all fine, and so are the two bar stools." I advised in exasperation. The girls looked to her sheepishly. "Give us a break. We don't want to sit in it." Rei complained, she was dressed for the weather in jeans and ruby red wool turtleneck sweater. The other girls agreed.
"So I'm to believe that the bed some of the girls sit on in your room during some meetings is still 'safe' to sit on." I commented.
Rei had the grace to blush before snapping, "Shut up." Her time spent with Yuurichio had proven to ignite the miko's blood in more ways than one. She loved their time together and wondered briefly if Usagi would mind giving her some pointers in the near future. Not wanting to yet admit to the senshi of love that she had been right with the former lazy rocker bum she believed him to be initially.
It was Usagi's question on the current situation that knocked her out of her embarrassing thoughts, "So no one was at the house. Not Hotaru – chan, her father, or Kaori." Usagi asked Minako. The honey blonde was in jean overalls with a pumpkin orange long sleeve rounded collar shirt that looked oddly like a thermal top. The senshi of love had a few police friends go to check the house that afternoon when Setsuna had made the call to inform her of its official abandonment once she left.
The senshi of time knew of Mina's connections to the force and wanted to give them a chance to see what could be done. They only had magical ways of trying to find someone, not any forensics. This would be their backyard.
Knowing the girls were getting themselves organized around the apartment Mamoru and Usagi were busy preparing some refreshments and snacks in the kitchen. Switching instantly from the role of lover's to hosts with ease. Masking their blushing faces, seeking calm down their raging hormone's as best as they could.
Minako could feel the vibrations coming from the couple and felt like she and the girls were intruding upon a special moment. Part of her wanted to usher the girls out and let them get back to whatever they were doing before their arrival but the mission took precedence over hormonal needs. She knew that as well as Usagi and Mamoru.
The two would be lovers had been simmered down once the girls had been there for a few minutes. Setting out tea and little cakes on the island for everyone. Then sitting down cross legged by the computer on his coffee table. It was the one thing he wouldn't be telling the girls had been christened as well, unless they made a remark about it, he looked up any information needed about Hotaru's father.
Usagi was positioned beside him, her hand in a comforting gesture on his thigh, while her legs curled up over his one knee under the coffee table. Her back being braced against the couch while Makoto dressed in jeans and her dark green hoodie, with her orange baseball cap hiding very wet and straggly brunette hair. She sat beside Minako who took residence on the other end of the table.
Rei took the other side of the coffee table while Ami took the arm chair, unconsciously not even touching the arms. The bookworm was dressed very conservative in navy slacks, a white blouse with a dark blue sweater vest on for warmth.
Rei for her part kept getting distracted by a pale stain on the coffee table. The light reflecting off of it was driving her nuts, "Mamoru – san you really need to clean stains off the tables better." He flickered his eyes in alarm to hers as her words registered and she balked, "Are you two kidding me?!" she shot herself away from the coffee table before sitting on the arm of the chair Ami was in residence in.
To that Usagi looked away, blushing. They cleaned every surface thoroughly, but she had accidentally spilt some of the bleach solution on the coffee table, leaving in a very apparent stain upon the table. It was enough of a hint for the girls to know the low table had been christened as well. "Oh kami! Is there anything safe?" Rei bellowed.
"Kitchen stool." Usagi thumbed. The senshi of fire dragged one over to the group to sit on in an exaggerated position. "I can't believe these people didn't leave behind one clue. Nothing forensics could use?" Rei asked Minako dismissing the 'christined' pieces of apartment once more. "Nothing. It was like the house hadn't been occupied in years. It was that spotless." Minako assured, staring at the spot on the coffee table with a smirk.
It had boggled the young honey blonde AND the CSI team that went over the house with its missing occupants with a fine toothed comb. She was hoping they could find something before the case went cold. As it was it had only been 16 hours. 33 hours were still left on the missing person's clock but they were ticking every minute away. "Now if I could slip into the academic files I could find out about Professor Tomoe." Mamoru mused aloud.
"I didn't know you had access to those files." Ami stated. "I don't it's called hacking. A trick or two I learned from you." He smiled meaningfully. She blushed but not due to him but rather due to his criminal reference. She had done it in the past for senshi business only, it was rather embarrassing for her professional academic career to having had done so, "Nothing to brag about." She scoffed. "If anything it is." He looked up to her in surprise.
"Your tricks of the trade allow us to gain access to important content needed to take down the enemy." She blushed at the compliment. Her eyes warming as she took in the fond image of Usagi, slight huddled position of curling up to Mamoru. She knew Usagi didn't harbor jealous feelings towards her, the smile of reassurance told her it was due to them learning and working off of one another.
"Bingo. Professor Tomoe, professor of genetic engineering. But check this out he's not only a professor but also the owner of Mugen Academy." He looked up to the other girls. "The same school Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna have enrolled themselves into." The words he stated had obvious meaning now. "Hotaru – chan goes there to. Coincidence..." Minako stated with an obvious, not in the situation tone.
"Isn't that school known for strict standards, rules and I.Q.'s. Like only the top geniuses go there. Its supposed to be top of the line, in which there's no room for error or an outside life." Makoto questioned. "Hai, I would have gone there myself but I always got bad vibes from the place and it wouldn't allow me any time as a senshi. They fill up any remaining time with cram school." Ami answered.
"Plus from what I have found out the building educates everyone from elementary school to university. The high rise tower has all the up to date, educational equipment and software programming out there. It's top of the line. Everything in that facility." Ami finished off. It was Mamoru's narrowing eyes that caught Usagi's attention, "Nani?" she asked. Looking to her he said, "I'm just trying to figure out how the professor could own the whole place." Minako rose up, "So it's his school…"
"Perhaps we should go there for recon work. See if there's anything strange going on." Ami suggested. "There could be some valuable information there." They all agreed. "Looks like we have an investigation to run." Minako surmised. It was the sound of an opening door that alerted Mamoru and the girls. He was about to snap at the girls for leaving his front door unlocked when he saw Setsuna walk in with very wet, very miserable looking Chibi Usa.
A concerned Luna and Artemis followed the sad little girl into the apartment. They had run into them on the way to Mamoru's as well.
Setsuna looked cold and distant, like she really didn't want to be there. Sometimes he felt that the senshi of time was only there for guidance, to be respectful of her future queen and king but felt quite the same as Haruka and Michiru did. Other times she really looked like she wanted to help them out.
"Oh, my...I thought you went home." Usagi jumped to her feet in alarm. Quickly ushering the soaking Chibi Usa into the bedroom to get into a fresh change of clothes.
"Mind if you stay a while? We have some questions for you." The dark haired man asked, though his voice was nearly a polite command if anything else. Setsuna knowing that tone of voice stayed in the entryway with a curt nod. After all he was her future King to take orders from. She just wondered if he had any idea of what he and the senshi were getting themselves into here. If they tried to fight they might die.
(I took Chibi Usa to Mamo – chan's room to change. Slipping her out of her uniform and wet socks, carefully. She looked completely broken, I wanted to hold her tight and comfort her like I did last night. She was having a real hard with all this and it wasn't fair. She was just a little kid, she shouldn't have to deal with such horrible outcomes. She never spoke or even protested as I undressed her. I put one of Mamoru's dress shirts on her. She swam in it but it was something to cover her up.
"I'll be right back." I advised, mournfully watching her nod absently. Turning from me to climb up on Mamoru's bed, kneeling before the window to watch the rain. I hurried to the bathroom, not wanting to leave her for long. Quickly hanging her clothes out to dry on Mamoru's tub. Then recalling the washer and dryer in the small corner area off from the kitchen, I dashed back through the living room and put her clothes into the dryer.
Once they would be out they'd be all nice and extra warm for her small body. The heat would comfort her at least physically. Then dashed back through the living room, ignoring the fond looks my friends were casting me. I was a mom on a mission to do whatever I could to make my child feel better.
"Come on. We should make sure we don't miss anything." I really couldn't figure out what else to say to her. Holding my hand out she took it, looking miserable at the turn of events. Sitting down once more, I had my legs once more hooked over Mamo – chan's only more I had a snuggled up Chibi Usa in my lap. Her shivers had now simmered down as she let my body heat and embracing arms soothe her.
"The academy is a school that Soichi Tomoe created three years ago. However in light of many strange incidents on campus Haruka, Michiru and I have enrolled onto campus as spies of sort to investigate the school and Tomoe." Setsuna began. She never once sat down, not wanting them to think she was growing comfortable with the situation. "Undercover operation…" Luna muttered not having though to do that.
"So the professor, his disappearance, Hotaru – chan's disappearance…" Artemis began, "Hai, we think he took his daughter to a more secured location. Far from interventions." She spoke. "We know Hotaru – chan is the reincarnated form of Sailor Saturn and that she has an evil entity within her. We believe that entity is the 'messiah of silence'." The words chilled everyone to the bone, "There's was no way Hotaru – chan can be the enemy." came a very small but angry and resentful voice.
Everyone looked to Chibi Usa. Pulling her head from my chest where she'd been seeking heat she held tears in her eyes at her next words, "Hotaru – chan is a sweet, kind girl. She doesn't deserve this!" Setsuna looked sadly but coldly to her, "Small lady…your seeing this through a child's eyes. Hotaru – chan has an evil within her that needs to be destroyed. Right now the only way to do that is to kill her." It hurt Chibi Usa deeply, I could tell. Her shivering intensified, the rage she was feeling towards her first, once closest friend was like a cold fire inside of her.
"Setsuna, perhaps there's a way to rid the evil from her within killing her." I suggested. "Even if there was, one we still couldn't take that chance and two, she still is the reincarnation of sailor Saturn. That senshi must never be awakened. Either way if Hotaru doesn't perish, this planet will and all of us along with it." She looked somberly to Mamo – chan at the end. I knew there was a connection. Knowing this was his home planet, perhaps hoping he would try to convince us that this murder was the only course.
He shook his head. It was made clear that his loyalty was with us. "I agree with Usako. There is always a way out. If she didn't believe that I wouldn't be here myself." I felt his hand taking my own, then he softly kissed me knuckles. I smiled, a minor part of me wanted to kiss him back but knew that he felt the need like it was his own. "We will do everything to save and free Hotaru – chan of the evil within her." I tell her, my eyes filled with an unbreakable determination.
She narrowed her eyes at me, it was nearly imperceptible. But the feelings of being accessed was clearly visible to me. "Tell me then? Will you protect her when Uranus, Neptune and I come for her?" She threw the gauntlet at my feet. I narrow my eyes back at the threat, "Hai, will you harm your future King and Queen in order to kill her?" I tossed the torch right back. We both knew the answer to that one. She looked away in shame.
"This is why we didn't want to involve you in the war." She then walked out without further comment nor without any protests from us. "Arigato." Chibi Usa mumbled in my shirt. I wrapped my arms around her small form even tighter.)
Meanwhile Mimet had her next target picked, not one she was approved to go after, but she didn't care. Though not a celebrity, he was in her mind's eye 'cool and handsome'. Her objective clear, go after someone she had a more personal goal towards. Instead of someone she believed had a pure heart. Having had enough of her continued failures the professor had her benched, while he sent the next 'witch' after the target.
Mimet did not trust the professor anymore, he had been giving her the cold shoulder since her little dimensional mishap. So having tapped his lab she listened into him giving the job to 'Telulu'. Her next rival for the exclusive spot at the professor's right hand. In a blind rage she destroyed half of what was on her desk before her psychotic mind felt that she had nothing else to loose and would do whatever it took to get her position back. Even using a prototype or two of her former competitor Eudial's to aid her in the process.
Refusing to go down without a fight she called Telulu on the pretense of being the professor, a nice little software trick Mimet picked up from a fellow witch. She told the girl the mission was off. However her words 'just you sit there' had the young botanist confused as the professor had never spoken so casually before, but someone else she knew did. She was suspicious of blonde rival now.
Left standing in the rain under an umbrella, out in the bleak streets of Azabu. Staring in confusion at her cell phone, the screens sharp glow casting her usually gentle features into crisp contrasts. She looked down right venomous with her light green hair up in twin buns along the sides of her head. Dressed in a long black rain coat and emerald green heels, she seemed to fade into the crowds unnoticed by the masses. A master of blending into any landscape she was the most subtle of the witches five.
Back at Mamoru's apartment, Usagi and the girls decided to go investigate the Academy. School had let out for the day but many of the students would still be attending clubs and cram classes that the school provided.
"Let's head out. We can catch the bus there." Usagi suggested. Shrugging on her lime green rain jacket she went to leave with the other girls. "Wait." Mamoru called out. Seeing the look in his eyes of wanting a kiss she waved the girls away so she could give him a proper goodbye. "Be careful in there." he advised before sealing her lips against his own. Taking the kiss she briefly wrapped her arms around his neck in bliss.
"Always..." she grinned against his lips. Then turned to regard Chibi Usa, who had crawled up onto the couch and fell asleep.
"She lied to us this morning. She is feeling rather reckless, going off alone to Hotaru - chan's like that. Don't take your eyes off of her for even a moment." She stated in regards to the sleeping child. Chibi Usa had long since passed out with all of her emotions running high and her crying taking up her energy. He cast his daughter a sad, understanding look. Then he nodded before stealing another kiss from his beloved. Watching her hips sway as she left he sat down, a wanton smile on his face. Nothing but love, tenderness and passion was in his gaze.
Then he turned to the little girl and the emotions shifted to that of a strong fatherly love then an encompassing sadness for her. Turning back he went to the computer to see if something was in there that could be used against Tomoe. He didn't see how a father could willingly take his daughter away from people that could help them. Or perhaps his involvement in the enemy was deeper than they thought. Was he trying to protect her from the evil invading their planet or trying to harm her for that enemies purposes?
He couldn't fathom letting any harm come to a child of his. If anyone truly tried to harm Chibi Usa or any child in the future that he and Usagi had there would be hell to pay. Though he understood how a possession by evil can twist one's mind. He had had very erotic plans set for Usagi during his own time while being evil. His feelings of attraction, of protection, darkening to that of possessing and breaking her spirit.
Granted they became more torturous towards the end but had he managed to get into Usagi's pants during that mind frame he was sure they would have had a child by now. Of course destiny wouldn't be too thrilled with the notion of a half-moon half earth evil child. He had a feeling had he let go of himself back in his evil days Moon definitely would have lost her virginity to him a LOT sooner. And he had a feeling that being evil, he wouldn't have given a damn about using protection with her.
He shook his head as he knew he was getting off target from his original thoughts. He just couldn't understand the thought of a father whom truly loved his daughter would harm her or let her be harmed...unless... "Those daimon's once were inanimate objects. Perhaps the daimon's could also take over humans as well..." it was a theory that he was half hoping he was right on and half hoping he was wrong on.
"If he's being 'possessed' then Hotaru - chan's father does care for her, he's just not in control, however that also means that he won't be easily convinced to let her go. If he isn't controlled it'll destroy Hotaru - chan's faith in her father." he typed some more on his laptop trying to dig deeper into the mystery that was Soichi Tomoe. He took one more look at his future child hoping she was right.
Meanwhile the girls got off the bus at the Mugen Academy. The modern rose brick tower loomed above them like an all imposing spire. Reaching towards the heaven's an arrogant monolith of high class superiority, flaunting it's grand architecture to all the smaller buildings that surrounded the Educational complex.
The place as Rei could tell was emitting a strange dark presence. Like a shadow was cloaking it's Grande surroundings. Lurking just beyond their reality, tainting the spirit realm that only she was trained to see. Her vibes were tingling with vile awareness. Above the wide entrance stairs was a giant banner that read in bold letters 'Master of Physics in Another Dimension! A special lecture by Dr. Sergai Ajimov'.
"This place already gives me the creeps and even if it didn't this would be way above my pay grade." Usagi commented, feeling slightly stupid by just standing in front of the monolith in front of her.
"I'm definitely getting some very bad vibes from here." Rei commented, "At least the lecture hall is open to all that come in. It means we can investigate while the halls are empty. It serves as a perfect opportunity to look into places otherwise closed off from students." Ami added. "So if anyone can come in that means that Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna are no doubt using this as an opportune moment as well." Minako stated. The others looked to her, sternly. "She's right. Be on the lookout for them to." Usagi agreed. They all nodded.
Mamoru furiously typed away he came across a long buried news article regarding Tomoe, his researchers and Hotaru, "Genetic Engineering laboratory a blaze!" he read out loud. "His research lab exploded four years ago, killing all the researchers except for Soichi Tomoe and his only daughter Hotaru." he quirked his eye brows to it, Minako had already dug up some information on this. "So how does a father and daughter closest to the blaze survive and everyone else perishes?" he asked himself.
He looked further at the article. Pictures taken at the scene, "With that type of blaze they all should have died. What could have saved them? Cause it wasn't man made." he managed to figure out. He tried to go through several possibilities but all of them entailed some form of bruising or get cuts or burn marks. "They both got away without a scratch and no one thought that was something to look further into?" he snapped angrily at his laptop.
"They called it a 'miraculous survival'. I'll say. Did Hotaru - chan have powers back then that saved them both?" he tried to think of that when he dismissed it. "If I had my powers back then, I would have never let my parents die…" he waved off the feeling of regret at not being able to help them when he thought he could. If his powers lay dormant till Sailor Moon's activation then there was nothing he could have done either way.
Seeing his future daughter start to shiver he pulled the pink fleece that lay at the back of the couch, that he had bought for Usagi when the weather grew cold. Unfurled the blanket and pulled over her tiny frame. The shivering stopped after few minutes, he regarded her soberly, musing over her words earlier, "I sure hope your right." leaning down he gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead.
He smiled briefly loving the fact that he was gifted to know that he and Usagi would have a child in the future. Though he would be pleasantly surprised if he were to ever find out there would be more than one. It warmed his heart and soul as he realized his dreams of having a big family might come true.
It was back at Mugen Academy that the girls were sneaking about the place. Cautiously moving from one level to the next. Their hearts beating furiously and breathing shallow, all tense and worried about getting kicked out. Feeling that since their motives to be here were not innocent in nature that they were trespassing instead of merely wandering around a public place. All of them were peaking around a corner when Rei noted, "It's so quiet. No bodies around."
Minako and Ami looked to one another, "This is perfect. And we haven't even seen a security guard around so that shouldn't be too much of a problem." Minako commented. Ami agreed with her. "We should split up though. It's a chance to cover more ground that way." Ami stated, as they all agreed.
A brief few pokes into Minako's back side alerted her, that something might be up. She waved her hand dismissively behind her, wanting Makoto to cut it out. But it wasn't Makoto, who by now was hunched over frozen and paled, as she noticed the scowling security guard looming over them both. Not to mention he looked to burly and tough to be a rent a cop, hovering over her shoulder.
Rei having had enough of Minako's chatter looked over to yell at her when she spotted the security guard. All the blood drained from the Miko's face then she gave an unusual for her calm demeanor, an undignified scream in horror to rival that of a 'scream queen' at them all being discovered spying.
It only created a domino effect through the other more aware girls. Mina and Ami and herself ran over the crouching Usagi to seek cover leaving the unawares blonde trampled and twitching on the lino as they pinned themselves against the adjacent hall terrified at the guards presence. They were staring wide eyed and terrified while Makoto tried to placate the guard convincing him that they were merely lost students.
"The lecture hall is that way." he pointed with an irritated finger. As they started to walk off he pointed, "You forgot something." they looked back nervously to find Usagi, waving awkwardly giving the guard side long looks of unease, while rubbing her knee cap, "Give me a break you all knocked me into the marble wall. My knee slammed into it." she hobbled over to them as the guard looked at them wearily. "You are so embarr - " Rei started, "Don't even start Rei - chan. my knee hurts." she snapped back.
(I wasn't willing to lose this verbal fight when they were the ones that got so scared of being caught that they pushed me into the floor. When I landed the pain in my knee was doubled from the impact. Funny bones tend to hurt a LOT more than regular bruising does. Usako you okay? I heard Mamo - chan ask me. Probably felt the stampede to. Hai. Just got started by a security guard, I'll explain it later. Maybe even get a nice massage from you. I tried.
Happily. He remarked. Okay must walk this off now. Chibi Usa still asleep? I asked. Hai. He answered. Okay...let me know if anything happens. I tell him. Same thing here. He replies. I nod internally as I walk with Rei and the girls ignoring her fuming at me. "Fume all you want it's not going to change anything." I snap irritably. Sometimes she can still act like I'm the dumb, embarrassing blonde she first thought me to be.
It was walking away that we saw a short, wavy young blonde woman walking past us. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why she seemed familiar. Attributing it to the many people around the area right now I shrugged it off. After all what are the odds we walk right by someone we know here that we don't immediately recognize? Odds are very much in our favor on that one. Besides we had more important things to do.)
The security guard stopped Mimet finding her carrying a large sack over her shoulder highly suspicious. But her hand made stun gun proved to be effective enough to knock him out when he tried looking into her sack. Mimet's look of pure outrage as she feebly tried to keep him out was near comical as she looked to be trying to wrestle the bag out of his overly large hands. It was like trying to pry a bag from a pro wrestler. It wasn't going to happen. But the stun gun worked especially well since she felt she had nothing left to loose.
However her rival Telulu having figured her out stood nearby and watched the short curly blonde witch with interest just to see how far Mimet would go for the executive seat. She wondered if she would make a simple enough mistake or if it was going to be big enough to just get rid of her competition. But she was a patient person. Bidding her time till she could slip into the executives seat without fault.
While the professor of alternate dimensions was going about his lecture the girls went all over the building. The lobby area for people waiting to be enrolled was covered, the upper floors were being covered by Makoto and Rei separately since there were to many upper floors. Ami was covering the auditorium, a big centering room with partial glass ceilings while Minako and Usagi covered the other half of the lobby area that was the center for all guests and soon to be students to orientate themselves.
Usagi couldn't help but marvel at the grand water fountain in the center of the huge ornate room they were in. The water fountain could have taken up the entire residence of her bedroom and her brother's room back at her parents place, "Come on Usagi - chan." Minako pulled her away, "Gomen it's just that this place is so huge. I can so easily see Ami - chan in here but would get terrified of being in here myself." She admitted, "What for?" Minako asked.
Usagi looked to her, "Ami - chan has more book smarts then all of us. This place would welcome Ami - chan with open arms and slam the doors in my face." she states matter of fatly.
"Relax I've come to this same conclusion when we first walked in. Besides I wouldn't trade my street smarts for anything. It gives you more ability to think outside the box." Minako raised her brow at her friend's odd explanation.
"Come on. I don't feel good standing in one place around here for too long. The weird vibes start to get to me." Usagi shuddered. Minako agreed as they moved on. "You're just the goofy one." Minako told her. Usagi stuck her tongue out in a playful notion, "Careful I'll tell Mamoru - san that you're using your tongue for things other than for food and himself. I'm sure he'll love that." Usagi went slightly red.
"Shut up. He wouldn't care." She protested. Minako raised her brow up, "Then why are you no longer sticking your tongue out at me?" Usagi fumed at her as they walked past a 'General monitoring room'. Minako smirked at having caught her.
Unknowingly they were feet away from Haruka and Michiru who were within the confines of the room. "I'm grateful that the schools' students and staff are so interested in this lecture. It's made getting into places we wouldn't have been able to more simple." Michiru said, sitting primly in the desk chair in her Mugen uniform. Typing on the keyboard and glancing over the wall of security monitor's.
With Haruka also dressed like a student, leaning over her partner as she looked for a possible way to get to the entrance to the enemies layers. ""If I can locate it then that's one more step towards ending the threat for good." Haruka said. "Not that easy to find though huh?" Michiru asked looking over her shoulder, bitterly.
"Finding the enemy headquarters is never truly easy." Haruka stated. It was the opening and closing a door that alerted them to a possible intruder. Finding Setsuna closing the door softly they settled, "Don't get to comfortable in here. The inner senshi are looking around here as well. It appears they might have figured things out to." she warned. "And if they did that means that somehow they will find the entrance before we do." Haruka sighed.
Somehow the inner senshi were magnets for trouble especially Moon. "So we hang tight till we see anything that might be of use to us." she commented. Seeing both Michiru and Setsuna agree she sighed, "Those girls will get themselves killed and it'll be their own faults for NOT listening to us in the first place." Haruka stated irritated. "But if they find the entrance first we can see how powerful the next set of enemies really are." Michiru threw in.
Haruka a bit surprised by her coldness asked, "Are you suggesting that we let the inner senshi be killed to find out how strong the bigger bosses really are?" Michiru then stated, "Not at all. We wouldn't let them die only for them to see that they are WAY out of their league." Haruka agreed with it. Setsuna didn't react at all. "I don't believe that they will get themselves killed. When push comes to shove they defeat their enemies with everything they have. Besides..." Setsuna looked at the camera's finding Usagi and Minako tip toeing through the darkened lobby.
"Sailor Moon would rather give up her life rather than to see any of her friends go down for her in battle. She refuses to let anyone die for her. After the battle with Beryl she made a wish on the crystal. To give the girls a chance at a normal life again. Months later they were drawn back into the fights. When that occurred she put a failsafe in the crystal." to this Haruka and Michiru looked to her.
"What fail safe?" Michiru asked, "If the battle becomes too much for their bodies to take then the crystal is ordered to get them out of the danger zone." Haruka was shocked by this fact, "The pressure of the final battle would rely solely on her." Setsuna nodded, "Even more so, if the crystal follows through with her command, we lose the future of the moon line and the earth line." Michiru was stunned but again not to surprised. It was just like Usagi to do such a thing to protect those she loved.
"Stupid self-sacrificing girl." she muttered. "We need to prevent that from happening. We need to get rid of this enemy before they do. The future of the moon and earth bloodlines are on the line here." Haruka stated firmly. "There is only so much we can do but at the very least if they do discover the entrance before us we can let them see how much more powerful their enemy is than them." the all nodded at that notion.
It was back at Mamoru's place that he heard a knock at his door. Curious he opened to find Ikuko there, dressed in a tan rain coat and bit soggy. "Come in." he said obviously surprised. "I came to see if Chibi Usa was here. She hasn't been home in for over a day now and Kenji is becoming worried about her." he nodded and showed her where the little girl was, "I'd recommend leaving her here. She's had a rough couple of days and I think she really needs her rest." he suggested to his beloved's mother.
She nodded and looked about his apartment, "It's very nice." she complimented. It was then that she saw many of Usagi's things lying about. "She's already settled in here isn't she." there was a sadness to her tone, "I'd like for her to be...I love her so much...it hurts to be apart from her for too long. But then you must feel the same way." Mamoru conceded to her. In truth he did see a small resemblance from Usagi's earth mother to her. But it wasn't nearly as strong as her resemblance to her moon mother.
"Hai, we all do. But Kenji is having a lot of trouble with it. He can't let go of who she is to him as a daughter. Even Shingo spoke up for her. I was hoping to use this meeting as a way to set up a way to still see Usagi but I guess she's not here." Mamoru gave her half the truth, "There's a lecture over at Mugen Academy. She and the girls went there." Ikuko looked up in shock, "Wow, isn't that the genius school?" she asked.
He nodded, "Hai." she smiled proudly. "You know we got the slip in the mail about her paper work for early graduation..." he was wondering where she was going with this, "I know you love her, and treasure her, but so do we." he nodded, "Hai, I know, but until Kenji - san comes to terms with me in her life, that I'm not going away, then she'll be here. To be perfectly blunt Mrs. Tsukino..." he gathered up the courage to tell her.
"I'd rather she not go back to your home. I feel that this is her home now. Our home." his heart was beating fast now. Her mother could just as easily decide against that notion. "I know how you feel but know this..." her mother looked to him with a stern motherly stare, "While you are in my good graces DON'T for a second think that I will allow this to continue on. I will figure out how to get my husband to accept and when he does this will be back to sporadic nights. It isn't right for a girl her age to be living with her boyfriend."
Mamoru bit his tongue on what he wanted to deny. That Usagi belonged with him now that she was wrong. But she was just as right as he was. His fists clenched in an effort to not outwardly react, "I hold no blindness over your intimate relations with my only daughter..." that stopped his inner anger. Now he felt hot under the collar. "Kenji also knows..." his eyes widened in shock and mild fear. "Don't worry he's been in his study most of the time going over things." if anything that made it even worse.
"So he's had time to plot my murder...great." he couldn't help but bite that out sarcastically, "At least it explains why he came over last week and punched me." he and Usagi had their notions with the conversation that had taken place but to know that he really had known, "He hit you?" she looked to be searching for a mark. "I heal fast." the bruise had been gone the very next day, he considered it benefits of having healing powers.
"I'm working on my husband but I just wanted you to know that you shouldn't get used to her living with you just yet. This is just temporary." it sounded firm but also like she was more or less trying to convince herself of it. When he heard the worried in her tone and saw it in her face his heart went out for her, "I can't make any guarantees but I will try." it was all he could or would give her and she knew that. "On the off chance that she doesn't..." she began.
"Invite us to the graduation. I want to see my little girl accept that diploma. She's earned it." Ikuko smiled weakly, as he nodded, "We will." right then and there they both knew her words regarding Usagi moving back in with her parents were a 80% failure scenario. Not with how her father was taking it. Ikuko could only do so much. When Kenji found out about his daughters current whereabouts and the fact that she was no longer innocent it was like he lost a part of his daughter with it.
Though internally he knew the factuality that she was still the same she just had matured into a person he wasn't fully aware of. She wasn't the same in many ways and had her own person to develop into, but at the same time she would always be that young girl that looked up to him for guidance and support.
"May I use your bathroom?" Her voice wavered slightly, he could tell she needed to gather herself together. To walk out without looking like she was ready to cry. He nodded and showed her the way. Walking into the bathroom she locked the door and found to her sadness and partial delight that her daughter's soaps and shampoos were right next to his own. His and hers bath towels. The bathroom practically screamed live in couple and lovers.
Her shoulders slumped in mild defeat. "Who am I kidding, she has moved in." she wanted to be sad that her daughter had obviously made her decision but she couldn't help but feel really happy for her to.
That her daughter had found the love of her life and secured him so early on to. Feeling better and not like a walking 'tear bomb' she left and met Mamoru as he stood by the counter of his kitchen, "Not that you know this but..." she looked into his eyes, "I'm am so grateful and happy that my daughter has found her soul mate in this lifetime already. Bless kami for showing you both the path to one another." Mamoru felt happy to hear that from Ikuko.
"But let me warn you this..." he nodded dumbly, "You break my daughters heart, you hurt her in any way..." her voice dropped several tones to a chilling cold one that gave Mamoru an inkling to where Usagi got her own cold side from and it wasn't her temperamental father. That was a temperamental frosty tone compared to this pure ice tone. It made him want to gulp in front of her but he refused to do so.
"And I'll make Kenji's threats seem like Halloween tricks compared to what I'll do." his had the decency to gulp. "I promise you that'll never happen. If I couldn't make your daughter happy then I'd want her to be with someone who could."
In all honestly as much as he hated the idea of her with another man, felt like he would end up choking the hell out of said man if he was being completely honest with her and himself, "IF she's not happy with being with me then I'd gladly give her up so she could be happy with someone else. However it doesn't mean I wouldn't do everything within my power to make her happy. Not to mention if even for a second the man she turned to didn't make her happy I'd strangle him." Ikuko smiled at Mamoru protective words.
"Even if you weren't happy all you would think about is her happiness." Ikuko then held the twinkle in her eyes he knew he seen in Usagi's. She held quite a few characteristics of her earth mothers. "You two are destined to be together. And even if you weren't I have a feeling that you two would have found each other regardless." Ikuko told him, leaving the apartment feeling better than when she first came in.
For Mamoru he felt light in the chest before going back to his research. The in depth conversation allowed him to see Ikuko's perspective on her daughter. It made him smile fondly, a mother's unwavering love and respect for her child was blessed thing. He wondered briefly what his own mother would have been like if he had moved out of their family home so young to start his life with his true love?
Musing briefly over that bitter sweet scenario, before he focus once more on his research. Typing in more searches on his laptop's search engine. He was trying to figure out more with regards to Tomoe and Hotaru.
Meanwhile Tomoe was laughing at the lecture as he watched it on his little surveillance pad.
Hanging out, in darkened upper office dressed in his lab coat, tan dress pants and white button down shirt. Leaning back against a desk chair behind an old office desk. His arrogant reflection mirrored in the rain drenched glass behind him. "If only the man really knew what was out there I think he might piss himself. Alternative dimensions...if you only knew what was approaching us right now..." he started to laugh manically.
Hotaru was now in her dark conservative 'messiah of silence' gown as she was passed out on the arm chair before the desk. Having no real memory of what happened as she had not been truly herself during any of it.
She dreamed of the event that changed her and her father's future forever. She had been investigating her father's lab at the University. Her father during that time had advised her to get a away from the globe she was standing like a kid in a candy store in front of on his desk, "Be careful Hotaru - Chan, its potentially dangerous." then he addressed his team of scientists, "This here is a special space that I prepared to hold our experimenting and equipment."
It was Hotaru that saw the blackness that came through the dimension within the globe. Swirling and collating like a dark storm it grew in magnitude within the glass sphere. Using the small dome as a gateway to break through the barrier from one world to another.
"Poppa..." She cried, backing away from the desk. By the time Tomoe looked over at Hotaru's question it was too late. It shot its rays of power out and engulfed the room in its blinding rays of light. As if instantly the three other scientists in the room were dead and his precious daughter lay unconscious in his arms.
The building was a mass of flames and broken bits all around him. He cared not for any of that, only for the small child that lay in his arms. His precious baby girl, his only child. Once he had lost his beloved wife his daughter became the most important now pained him beyond belief that his own scientific creation had probably killed his only child. The last piece remaining of his dearly departed wife.
"Hotaru – chan! This can't be happening! Please no kami! Your child isn't supposed to die before you!" he wailed. The agony of a father losing his only child in life. Wishing upon anything out there would bring and keep his one and only baby girl back to life.
His tears flowed down his face in utter agony. In a single blinding moment he lost what meant most to him in the world. His wife had been dead for a few years now, having gotten critically ill when Hotaru was only a few years old. She passed before any real memories could stick for Hotaru to remember her by. He loved Keiko so much, he never even tried to be with another woman again and now his only daughter was gone.
He knew there was no way she would survive getting out of the fire if she was even still alive. In his panic and grief he didn't feel for her heart beat. Didn't feel that she was still barely alive. He was trapped in a father's pain that only wanted to give his daughter a second chance to grow up and live her life, find friends, her true love and her purpose in life.
He buried his head in her stomach mourning her soon to be death as a deep booming voice came up over the flames, "If you want to save the life of that child let me in." it commanded. He looked over, his face stricken with grief. Not caring what could or would happen to him just as long as his daughter was saved, "I can save you both but I need to inhabit your body. Will you accept me?" the dark glowing entity asked.
In panic and seeing no other salvation he begged, "I don't care what happens to me just save my baby girl!" the entity saw this as his only way in, "Very well." the entity shot itself within Tomoe's body, taking over his own skin as it's own. The rest of the building blew up around them leaving no trace of where the entity came from. Only Tomoe's body and spirit would be proof of the deal made to save Hotaru.
To be continued…
