"okay here is a list of places at the mall that are hiring anyone sixteen and older" Massie said pointing to a list she had made on her old art aisle " as you can see I have categorized them into three groups clothing, food, shoes and boutique's" she fished smiling at Alica closing her pointer. "mass we would need at least 4 jobs to be as rich as our parents are" Alica whined crossing her arms and legs. this was going to be hard but her parents had been lenient and let her keep her car. "so I guess I could always get to work on time but standing there for hours" Alica thought too herself. looking at the list she decided to find the highest paying jobs and make herself a schedule she had to pay rent with Massie so that was cut down the middle all the bills were water heat and electricity and Wi-Fi plus cable. "All the bills are cut down the middle right?" Alica asked.
"like we could actually do this by ourselves with no ged's" Massie said rolling her eyes. "of course their split half and half" she answered.
"we need to see how much a real apartment away from this place cost I'm actually thinking about disowning my parents" Massie said nonchalantly while filling out job application forms.
"oh there's one in Westchester for about twenty-four-hundred down payment and two thousand one hundred ninety a month" Alica replied she had ah-viously given it thought and done some research.
"cool lets see witch jobs we can get this site say's your rent shouldn't be more than 10% your initial income" Massie said reading her phone screen wouldn't be long before the service would cut off wifi and cable would need to be paid immediately.
Massie hugged Alica goodbye as she walked into her M.A.C job interview. she was gunning for retail artist witch required a lot but she checked the salary and if she got this it would be the only job she needed.
She had her portfolio of make up style she had done at m.a.c over the summer and the 24 she did on the pc in school. they didn't know her and Alica's situation they just thought Massie had a passion for more cosmetics than usual and helped her make her portfolio by letting her do her best on them.
"Hello you must be Massie" a short-ish girl with black hair and green eyes said. she wore black tights and a purple high-low shirt with a black blazer over it and purple ballet flats. "yes hello" Massie said shaking her hand.
"well let me just go over basics" she said scurrying into the back room which had while leather couches and a plain black wall with M.A.C written across it. Massie took a seat across from her at a round black table."so did you bring your portfolio?"
"yes here you go" Massie smiled handing her the shiny black binder with all of her work watched as the lady flipped through examining her work.
"okay so, you do meet up to our sale requirements from the last two summers that you worked at m.a.c in NYC" she acknowledged not bothering to look up from the resume. "Also you have some experience with the cosmetics but was never trained according to your last manager.
"mhmm" Massie beamed .
"okay so you do qualify for the job" the girl assured Massie.
"However what i don't see here is work with another brand" she said the kissed her teeth Massie's heart stiffened what could she do to change her mind.
"what's the point? M.A.C is the only makeup brand I can do my best with and that's all I'm going to be using here isn't it so why bother seeing if I'm good with other brands?" she said not to confidently so she wouldn't come across of high strung or rude.
"that's true isn't it as long as you can work the twenty hours a week your good to go also you do have the look we need very classy we'll call you and give you your hours as soon as possible until then enjoy your paycheck" she giggled handing Massie the black envelope with Mac written on it in silver."thank you so much see you soon" Massie said getting up and shaking her hand. she proceeded to walk out where Alica was still waiting for her.
"how'd it gooo..." she questioned .
"AH-MAZING I GOT THE JOB AND ITS THE ONLY ONE I NEED" she yelled hugging Alica.
"WE'LL BE MOVING OUT FASTER THAN OUR PARENTS CAN SAY WAIT DONT GO" allica yelled backing out of the parking lot.
Yayyy finally updated umm i actually researched like everything a real apartment the requirements fo the jobs they want and their salaries i feel so determined. And look its finally my grammar at its best no beta!
