The Final Showdown... Wes vs the Champion!

"I'm sick of this hallway..." Wes complained as he approached the door at the end of a hallway which was really hurting his eyes.

"We all are, ze. Who colors a hallway purple?" Marisa complained as they walked down the hallway painted in eye-searing purple.

"Purple is made of Red, and Blue... The color of Nue's... accessories, I guess you'd call them. I wonder if that has any significance?" Mima asked.

"Red and Blue are two legendary trainers from our world." Wes replied. "There's too many things it could mean, let's just find out who the Champion is."

They threw open the door and walked in. And Wes stood and looked around. "Wow..." Nue sat in the stands, twirling her arms around and blowing kisses at him. A ton of Cipher Peons also were in the crowd, booing him. On the sidelines stood Kogasa and Nazrin. Murasa stood at an announcer's booth, clearly having introduced him.

"And for Wes's opponent! The Champion of the Palanquin Four Challenge! Sprung from jail by our operatives for this climactic showdown! Kept imprisoned in the Palanquin since his kidnapping. Criminal organization Cipher's number 2! NASCOUR!"

The Cipher Peons leaped to their feet, cheering. "Nascour! *clap clap* Nascour! *clap clap* Nascour!"

"Nascour!?" Wes shouted. "But, Nue's up there! I thought she was imitating him."

"Yes, Wes, you're right, she did imitate me. But I assure you, it is I who you face." spoke Nascour, striding onto the field with a confident grin. "And guess what else? She got me my old team back, including Metagross. I missed Metagross after you stole it... Now you'll pay for every second I was denied my Pokemon in that horrid prison."

"I beat you once, Nascour, and I can do it again!" Wes shouted.

"Oh, my, so confident. And if you do beat me, what then? Have you forgotten what they did to us? They ripped you, me, and your friend from our home as if it was nothing. And to them, it was. You've made an enemy of the Captain, and you've got the entire ship's eyes on you. Even if you beat me, how do you plan to get back your friend? Can you trust them to not betray you? Even if you think you can, would you really trust people who came and orchestrated this entire train of events because they were BORED?"

Nascour smiled at the look on Wes's face at those words.

"That's right... I said they did this because of boredom. This is TAME to them. In this land live vampires, lunarians, sentient rabbits. Previous things done because of boredom include covering the entire land in red mist, stealing the spring, replacing the moon with a fake one, forcing people to gather and have parties every day, making each person have their own seperate weather, giant robots... So yeah, moving us here? Tame. Miss Hijiri discussed these with me over some tea while trying to let me fit in with the rest of her temple."

URGH... he might have been kidnapped, but he sure hasn't lost his knack for being unsettling! Wes thought to himself. He's certainly had time to get to know them if he was kidnapped...

"Nue, explain the terms of this match." Murasa said. "You set this up, after all."

Nue floated into the air and hovered there, dispelling the cheers of the Cipher Peons.

"The terms are pretty simple. This will be a 3 on 3 battle! If Wes wins, everyone from their side of the Border can return home, and Nascour goes back to jail. But if Nascour wins, Nascour gets to go home scot free, and Wes, Rui, and Michael will remain with us on this side of the Border... forever. I've given you both some compelling reasons to win. Now good luck..."

Shady Guy Wes

Vs.

Cipher No. 2 Nascour

"This time, Wes, I will defeat you. I wonder what fate you'll suffer at the hands of these youkai? Not my problem, I win, and I take down all 3 of Cipher's biggest headaches in one fell swoop. So needless to say... I'M NOT LOSING HERE." Nascour stated, a smug grin on his face.

Unflappable as ever, I see... But I can't lose here!

Shady Guy Wes
vs.
Cipher Nascour

Metagross (s), Dusclops, Blaziken, Xatu, Gardevoir, Walrein

"You know, I bet it's been a while since you fought a strong opponent! Hell, Wes, no one could find you for a long time! I sincerely hope you're rusty!" Nascour laughed.

Wes shrugged. "After the crap I went through? I think I cleaned my rust off rather nicely. Get on with it!"

"Alrighty then... Xatu, go!" Nascour replied.

"You're on... face Gligar!" Wes shouted.

"Xatu, Drill Peck!" Nascour kicked things off with an attack.

"Gligar! Dodge and use Aerial Ace!" Wes shouted.

Xatu moved in, flying forward to deliver Drill Peck. At the same time, Gligar swiftly flew out of the way, causing Xatu to ram into one of the Cipher Peons. At that point, an electric shock came from the Peon, zapping Xatu and knocking it out instantly.

"HEY! Careful, Nascour! Nitori's bots ain't cheap, and you just trashed one!" Nue yelled.

Those Peons are robots!? Wes couldn't believe his ears. They looked so lifelike...

Nascour meanwhile looked annoyed. "Damn it! Try Metagross on for size, Wes!"

The stands grew quiet at this proclamation. "Oh, boy, here it comes!" Nue whispered.

Metagross burst out, an unexpected leer on its face, a seeming lack of care, a look of apathy, and Wes was certain that-

"Watch out, Wes! It's a Shadow Pokemon!" Rui yelled from the stands.

No shit. Wes thought privately to himself. Of course. Why did I expect anything different? They've already crossed so many lines, why wouldn't they cross this one?

"Metagross! Attack with Psychic!" Nascour shouted.

Metagross released Psychic, causing Gligar to fly back and slam into a wall.

I won't...give...up! If I lose here... it's over! There's more than an argument... more than a rivalry... at stake here. This is a battle on the border of life and death!

Meanwhile, at Mayohiga, Yukari facepalmed, feeling like someone just ripped off her spellcard. She then slapped the writer for his impertinence. (Not really).

(Actually, due to the concept of multiverse theory, there's one where she did do that and-

"GET ON WITH THE STORY ALREADY!")

Gligar seemed to feel the resonating feelings, getting back up, a Yin Yang Orb icon seeming to glow.

Wes reached deep into his soul, finding his will to win as the battle continued. [Heroic Sign: French Revolution]

Gligar's claw seemed to grow to 5 times its original size, as the Spell Card powered Guillotine attack smashed into Metagross.

It's A One-Hit KO!

"What!? Impossible! How did you beat Metagross!?" Nascour was shocked. How did he channel that power?

"Normally, this would be a friendship speech. But since I'm an anti hero at best, It's because of my WILL TO WIN." Wes replied, laughing.

"Will to win. I see... do you know what you just did, Wes?" Nascour said, smiling again.

"I beat your Pokemon fair and square." Wes deadpanned.

"Ahahahah... Since when was powering up an attack via external means legal?" Nascour responded. "You're no better than me."

Wes responded: "Two words, Nascour. X Attack."

Urgh! Why that little... Something screamed through him, coursing what felt like liquid anger through his veins.

"You used a friggin SPELL CARD, Wes! Do you have any idea what that means?" Nascour screamed at how the world seemed to be against him. Then an idea came to him. "It means you're using this world's battle style."

"So?" Wes countered, pissed off.

"SO, who's to say you can still go home? For all we know, that could cement you here for good."

"As much as I like hearing your viper's tongue, Nascour, I won't allow you to plant the seeds of deception in his head." Nue replied.

"Yo, Nue, given your penchant for snakish attacks and your Seeds of Non-Identification, I wouldn't go there, ze." Marisa cheerily called out.

"Shut up before I feed YOU one, Kirisame." Nue replied. "I would LOVE to change you."
Marisa shut up rather quickly at that statement.

"I will NOT LOSE!"

Youmu sliced something rather viciously back home, feeling like someone ripped off her line.

"Dusclops! GO!" Nascour was PISSED. How dare he topple Metagross like it was nothing? "You've made a mockery of me for the last time."

"Oh goody, a Ghost type."

"[Wind Sign: Aerial Ace]!" As his Gligar bombed into Nascour's Dusclops, he stamped his feet in frustration over the increased power, Wes easily destroying his last Pokemon!

Wes celebrated, heading towards Nue. "NOW, then. Let's have Michael back."

She clapped slowly. "Very well."

A door opened, white fog creeping out and swallowing things.

Nue looked shocked. "Wait, what the!? Byakuren?! Mamizou! Where's everyone! Where'd they all... Wes!?"

The room was deserted except for her and the bots.

Well, well, weeeeeeeell... what has happened to our protagonists? You thought this was the final showdown, didn't you? Ahaha, nope.
