Also, I decided to let Sirius break out earlier - or well, on the date of chapter 19 - since I cannot for my Life recall have read or seen or heard anything about a specific date - aside from the TV announcement on Harry's birtday .. so well, yes, he's going to break out earlier, just so you know ^^

She felt strangely withdrawn from her body and mind; almost as if she floated around someplace else…

"Jennie? Come back dear, get yourself together."

Oh she knew that voice, Minerva!

"Come on now, wake up, we have so much to tell you!"

Oh, Narcissa too! God, why was everything so blurry and confusing?

"Move aside, you two! She needs a little something strong I think…"

Jennie blanched at the sudden fire that erupted everywhere, and then could feel again; her throat burned most while the rest of her body felt warmer than she liked.

"Ugh… was that firewhiskey?" she groaned and blinked against a shocking white light and the next thing she felt and saw was streaks of blonde hair and warmth as Narcissa's squeal pierced her ears.

"Can't breathe!" groaned Jennie and Narcissa quickly eased her hugging, but did not stop.

"Sorry, sorry, I'm just so glad you're awake!"

"Me to… gosh I feel funny… how long has been a nice statue?" mumbled Jennie as she slowly turned her head to watch Narcissa who sat down beside Minerva on a chair by the bed.

"It's been a month and fifteen days… Harry's been so worried", Minerva said sternly and Jennie grinned sheepishly.

"I see you are well after the encounter with the wall", she replied and Minerva nodded.

"Yes. Now, what were you thinking?!"

Jennie snorted.

"Well, someone had to do something, and Narcissa is a witch, I'm not, so it was logical that she helped you, and besides you've un-stoned me, so everything is as it should be… hey, have you by the way seen the Basilisk statue?"

"Ah about that… Jennie, it didn't work", said Narcissa solemnly.

"What?!"

"The Basilisk didn't turn to stone when it saw its own eyes… I watched it; it was about to crush you and I had no idea what kind of spell to use… and then, just like that, Fawkes appeared and hacked the snakes eyes out… so I was about to try and cast a spell on it since I had more time to think when not trying to avoid the eyes, but then Albus came… and oh you should have seen it! The snake did still hear and all, so it attacked him of course, but Albus was great and splashed it with water which he turned to ice and then he blasted it, which wasn't very nice to see but still, so he saved us in the end", rambled Narcissa, looking very alive when she spoke.

"Well, fuck me", muttered Jennie, baffled by what she heard, and fell back against the pillow.

"I know, right!" giggled Narcissa, who obviously got Jennie's curse, while Minerva looked scandalized.

"I didn't mean it in that way", said Jennie tiredly to the older witch who gave a slight sigh and shook her head.

"You are one of a kind Jennie… now, if you feel up to a visit, there is a little boy in this castle who is dying to see you."

"Jennie! You're well!"

Jennie hadn't time to say anything in response before Harry threw himself into her lap on the bed and hugged her so hard she had trouble breathing.

"Sweetheart… I can't breathe!" she moaned and laughed as he let go for a minute and then hugged her again, a little looser this time.

"Why did you have to go and get stoned?!" he wailed after ten minutes of silent half sobbing hugging.

"Honey, has no one told you?!"

"Yes, but I think it was bad of you! You aren't magical! What if you'd been killed?!" accused Harry her and Jennie smiled tiredly.

"Harry, sometimes grownups have to do dangerous things, and I'm perfectly fine so you don't have to worry little man. Now give me another hug and tell me what you have been up to."

"I've been waiting for you to wake up, duh! I mean, I've been going to classes, but I've been waiting for you the most! You can't do that again! I'll miss you more if you do!"

Jennie sighed and pulled Harry to her again.

"Sweetie, I'll promise you I won't get stoned and hunt snakes again, but I can't promise you I won't protect you and others, you understand that right?"

"I don't like it… but okay… But only if you talk to me!" demanded the little almost teenager with an annoyed green eyed look and Jennie giggled and kissed his nose and ruffled his hair.

"I promise, little man. Now, let's get some food; I'm starving and its lunchtime and you need food."

Harry had eaten with her, hugged her several times and then left for school and Jennie had been checked over by Madame Pomfrey and declared fine, and then Minerva had followed her outside and to the gates, where she made Jennie a Portkey home; and now Jennie was in her bath tub, humming softly on various Phantom of the Opera songs.

She left the tub after washing away soap and shampoo and donned her fluffy robe before she headed into the kitchen for a midnight sandwich.

Jennie glanced out the window and jumped. A large bearlike shadow was bathed in light from the street lamps; a dog, she realized, a very large dog…

"Oh my", she mumbled, awed by its size, and just as she headed closer the window to look at the animal, it rushed away.
