As I promised, another chapter for you to enjoy =)
Own nothing but plot and Jennie (and getting siriusly bored of writing this everytime LOL)
28 December 1 1993
Jennie paced back and forth in the kitchen. Why where they late?! She snatched her cell from the table, found Harry's number and called him. No answer. Fucking hell! The black dog who sat by her feet nudged her leg softly and she smiled tensely down at him.
"I could really use a quick hug! Please?"
In one instant he had his arms around her and she breathed in his scent.
"They're fine! He's with Minerva. She's probably just being extra careful."
Then he was a dog again and she heard the doorbell ring.
"Oh dear…" she mumbled and went to the door, plastering a smile on her face, effectively covering up her nervousness.

They sat in the living room and Minerva had left, only staying to pet the black dog once and proclaim that he was a good boy who deserved the best – this had made Jennie giggled and the dog snort.
"What is going on Jennie?" asked Harry softly, looking worried. "Are you ill?"
"No darling I'm very healthy. Hey, can you do me a favor and go get your photo album, the ones with pictures of your parents?"
"Okay."
She watched as the boy went to do as she had asked, and the moment he was out of the room she fell back in the couch and moaned.
"I'm feeling faint!"
A wet snout nuzzled her cheek, and for an instant soft human lips grazed hers, and then she heard Harry's footsteps in the stairs again and she sat back up quickly and the black dog lay down again.
"Here Jennie."
"Thanks little man. Now, let's find some pictures from when they went to school, and maybe the one from their wedding okay?"
They searched an album each and Harry happily pointed at several pictures while Jennie tried to remember the words she had memorized for this moment. She failed.
"Harry… do you know anything about your father's friends?"
"Sure! There are names and everything in some of the pictures in the album you got me! That's Remus, or well Professor Lupin I mean, and that's Peter Pettigrew, but I don't think they seem to have been close… and that's Sirius Black, dad's best friend! They were like brothers! He looks totally cool! But I think he did something bad… wasn't he the man we saw on TV? The wizard who killed people?"
Ah hell… Jennie reached down and petted the black dog; Harry didn't sound angry or accusing, he was just stating facts he had heard; she hoped Sirius realized that.
"Well, you see darling, he didn't kill people. It as Peter Pettigrew who did it, and he put the blame on Sirius. You see Harry, Peter Pettigrew worked for Voldemort, and he betrayed our parents, and this is responsible for their death…"
"But… no… why?! And why blame someone innocent?!" cried Harry, his green eyes large and confused. Jennie pulled him lose for a hug and he clung to her lie a child who'd woken from a nightmare.
"Because everyone thought that Sirius was helping hiding your parents, so naturally it was easy for Pettigrew to blame him. But that's not true; it was Pettigrew who held you parent's location a secret… until he told the snake face. So, darling, my point in this is that Sirius is very much innocent… and he's also your godfather; that's like a relative and guardian."
"But if he's innocent, why is he all over the news?"
"Because until yesterday everyone with power in your world believed him to be guilty."
"So, he's now not guilty?"
"Exactly darling."
"So, can I meet him? He can tell me lots of stuff about mum and dad! Oh Jennie please can we go and meet him?"
"Actually Harry, you have already met him… do you know what an Animagus is?"
She watched the teenagers face; saw him look at the black dog, back at the photos of the young Sirius Black, she met his green eyes and saw that he understood, and then she watched as he sat on the floor and looked at the dog with happy determination.
"Are you really my godfather?"

It felt marvelous to change this time, to see the boys expression go from hope to knowing to joy.
"I am. Hi little deer, long time no see."
And then he had hi arms full of a happy messy haired little boy, and he could almost hear James and Lily laugh contently someplace far away yet near…
