Also, I've been looking over my plot-ides and I've realized that I'll have to stray from the books from now on, so this means that this story probably won't follow the books anymore, so yeah, prepare for that guys.

Enjoy reading, love ya!

32 December 31 1993

Sirius hummed as he chopped vegetables. They here hosting the Weasleys and the Grangers for dinner, and both Harry and Jennie where like little kids, all smiles and laughs and hugs. He found it sweet; the way Jennie somehow seemed to be like a teenage friend to Harry, she was really good with the kid.

"Hi! How's it going? Do you need a hand?"

Jennie jumped inside the kitchen, dressed in a skirt and a bra, holding something dark blue in her hand.

"Hi there. Nah, I'm fine. You on the other hand, look a little tousled. What's that?" he smiled and gestured towards the material in her hand.

"Right. This is a dress I found just now, on the bottom of my closet… I don't know it I can have it tonight though… I think it might be too short… can you lend me an opinion?"

"Sure sweetie."

She beamed up at him, slipped out of the skirt and eased into the blue dress; it stretched over her body, the same blue as her eyes, and looked like a second skin as it clung to her breast and stomach and then flared out to end just above her knees.

"Are you nuts darling?! Why can't you wear that? You're gorgeous!" he stated and Jennie blushed and then fired off a quick sexy grin.

"Alright then, if you say so… I'm off to finish dolling up. Later hot stuff!"

And she kissed him quickly on the mouth and then dashed away, and a minute later he heard footsteps coming closer and Harry poked his head inside the room.

"Hi…"

"Hi there kid. You okay?"

The boy looked nervous.

"I think so… I've never had this kind of party before…"

"It'll be totally fine Harry. You know everyone here, everyone loves you. Just breathe and have some fun, 'cause you deserve it."

The messy haired boy smiled up at him, a splitting image of his long gone best friend and a pretty red haired woman with stunning green eyes; Sirius sighed and banished the images from his mind. Tonight was not the time for nostalgia; it wouldn't do him any good.

Jennie grinned as she watched the Weasleys hug Harry and greet Sirius with handshakes and smiles. So far so good. She leaned against the wall and waved softly at the red headed woman who now came up to her with a flower and a pot with something that smelled divine.

"Jennie dear, such a lovely idea to celebrate together!"

"Hello Molly. I think so too. What is that? It smells lovely!"

"Oh this is just some stew I made; figured since we are quite a few people tonight it wouldn't hurt. And this is a flower from the garden; Harry mentioned that you like flowers."

Jennie smiled and drew in the musky scent of the blue and purple plant.

"Thank you, it's lovely."

Half an hour later everyone was in place; Hermione had showed up with her parents and Jennie decided that she liked them a lot, they were polite and smiled a lot and seemed so proud of their daughter.

"Hey, what's on your mind lovely?"

She turned a little and smiled slightly at the black haired wizard who stood beside her, dashing and smiling. Dressed in black pants and a deep red shirt with his hair tied back at the nape of his neck Sirius looked good enough to eat. She took his hand and kissed it.

"Oh I'm just enjoying this… you're gorgeous", she mumbled and he grinned at her.

"Well, you look ravishing; I'd really like to kiss you."

"Nuh-uh, not until the clock strikes", she teased and he rolled his eyes and sipped his drink.

"Really? Come on darling!"

"No, good things comes to those who wait", she laughed and let him hug her before she sneaked away to talk to Hermione's mother.

She was so avoiding his godfather. Harry found it funny how Jennie had slipped around the room the whole evening, pointedly staying out of Sirius's reach, smirking at him when he giggled at her antics.

"Why are you running?" Harry asked her as she stopped by his side and hugged him; she smelled of perfume and food and some of the wine Mr and Mrs Weasley had brought for the adults to drink.

"Huh? Running? Oh you mean running from the dog?" she giggled and grinned at him. "Well, you godfather want to kiss me, and on New Year's Eve there is an unspoken rule; no kisses until the clock strikes and announces the new year", she went on and pulled him into a funny little dance which was very out of time with the music.

Harry grinned up at his blonde guardian and Jennie winked at him. Then she spun him under her arm and laughed and she was very pretty and the Harry felt himself being snatched away and suddenly his godfather was holding Jennie and she scoffed grinned and then snorted as he tried – and failed – to kiss her. It was funny to see.

"Sirius! I said no! really, get a grip! And I was dancing with Harry!"

"Ah but you see love, harry doesn't mind to give me this dance, do you kid?"

"Nope", harry grinned cheekily and Jennie scoffed at him.

"You're being very helpful kid!"

"Bye Jennie!" he giggled and sneaked away to Ron and Hermione.

He heard the clock in the living room chime and taking that as his cue, he went over to Jennie and Moly who were talking about gardening.

"Ladies, I have to interrupt you for a little while. Molly, you don't mind, do you?"

The red haired woman smiled and cheekily winked at him.

"Not at all; I have to find Arthur, so excuse me."

And she left.

"Really?! You are very annoying", stated Jennie softly and he grinned.

"Ah but you're responsible for that! Walking around here looking all gorgeous… now, I believe I have earned a kiss."

"Earned a kiss? More like hunted one down…" she grinned and pressed herself against him with eyes that shone with amusement and well-shielded lust.

"Different names for the same thing darling", her murmured and captured her lips. She tasted of wine and strawberries and a little chocolate and he groaned when she drew her nails over his arms and parted her lips and licked his tongue with hers.

"Mm… well, I can't say that was entirely bad", she smirked when they parted for air and he grinned and kissed her again.

Harry yawned as he climbed into bed; the guests had left after promises of having another fun-filled night and he was tired.

"Harry?"

"Yeah?"

The door to his bedroom opened and Jennie sneaked in followed by Sirius. Harry noticed that they too looked tired when they sat down on his bed with small smiles.

"So, what do you say about the party, kid?" smiled Sirius and ruffled his hair.

"It was great, but I think I could sleep for two days now."

Jennie giggled softly and kissed his cheek.

"That makes two off us. Sweet dream little man, see you at breakfast."

"Night little deer, sleep tight."

His godfather kissed his other cheeks and then the two left him, but left the door a little ajar as always.

Harry smiled, content with everything, and closed his eyes.
