Jaxsyn's life had gone up a bit since meeting Fred and George. It had been three months since school had started. Her life was full of pranks and laughter. She spent lots of time in detention with the twins or with Seamus and Dean. Even though she was having fun certain professors knew that something was up. Jaxsyn was beginning to act differently since the Christmas season started.
Christmas break was in three days and the twins and Jaxsyn were outside hitting Quirrell in the back of the head. Every time he would turn around they would hide behind a bush. That would make him angrier, but made everyone else laugh harder. Professor Dumbledore was watching all of this go on. It took the old professor a couple minutes to remember why he was walking around the grounds. But then he remembered, he was walking around to find Ms. Malfoy. Professor's McGonagall and Snape were starting to worry about her.
"Good afternoon Mr. Weasley, Mr. Weasley but I am afraid that I have to see Ms. Malfoy" Dumbledore greeted the twins before turning to the girl. "Ms. Malfoy will come with me please" he said to Jaxsyn before he bit good day to the twins. Jaxsyn followed Dumbledore back into the castle.
"Professor Dumbledore did I do something wrong?" Jaxsyn asked.
"No you have done nothing wrong. I just wanted to talk to you in my office" Dumbledore told her. Jaxsyn didn't talk the rest of the way to his office.
When they arrived Jaxsyn noticed that Professors McGonagall and Snape were waiting in his office. She couldn't help but wonder why she was here if her head of house, her godfather and the headmaster wanted to speak to her.
"Hello Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape why am I here?" Jaxsyn asked. McGonagall motioned for Jaxsyn to sit in one of the chairs.
"Well Jaxsyn we are starting to be concerned about you" Dumbledore told her.
"Why are you concerned about me?" Jaxsyn questioned.
"I am your godfather Jaxsyn. I usually know what's going on with you. And ever since your first month of school you haven't been the same" Snape told her.
"So we want to know what is going on in your life" Dumbledore said.
"Professor Snape you mean you don't know. Has my Lucius not told you about what he has done to me?" she exclaimed.
"What did he do?" Snape questioned.
"He disowned me from the Malfoy family. I am no longer allowed to speak to them, see them or step inside that house again. I do not need to act like a Malfoy anymore. I can finally be who I want to be and live the life I want. I do not need to impress people anymore" Jaxsyn started to scream. The three professor's mouths dropped as she told them what had happened. "I don't know what to do anymore. I have no family, no one to make sure I am okay, no one to be a mother or a father to me. I don't even know what I should do at Christmas Break or Summer Break because I have nowhere to go."
"You know what for Christmas Break you are going to stay here at Hogwarts with me. You don't have to worry about Summer Break we'll find somewhere for you to stay. I will make sure that you are safe and I will make sure that Lucius does nothing to hurt you. Also you can always come and talk to me even if you are a Gryffindor, you are my Goddaughter and the closet thing that I have to an actual family" Snape told you. Jaxsyn then gave him a big hug. Once the hug was done Snape wiped a tear away from her cheek.
"You can always come and talk to us too" McGonagall and Dumbledore both said.
"Thank you so much" Jaxsyn whispered.
"Here I will walk you back to the common room" McGonagall said before getting up and walking behind Jaxsyn to the door.
As they walked down the corridors Jaxsyn noticed that McGonagall's expression was softer than her usual stern expression.
"You know what?" McGonagall's voice surprised Jaxsyn. "You remind me so much of your mother's cousin Sirius Black."
"How?" Jaxsyn asked.
"He came from an all Slytherin family, who thought everyone that wasn't a pureblood was scum. He didn't want to be in Slytherin and his friends were half-bloods and muggle borns some were purebloods but they were blood-traitors. He was an excellent prankster just like you. I see a lot of him in you" McGonagall told her.
"Thank you professor" Jaxsyn said as they entered the common room.
That night Jaxsyn stared out the window trying to think of what her future would be like.
