Jennie groaned as she observed Harry petting Shadow. The cat was curled up on the boys lap and seemed totally fine with being given so much attention. Go figure, Jennie thought surly, since Shadow now was the only cat in the house… six months earlier, they had all been awaken by and inhuman shriek and a series of howling's from the garden. Stunned, she had followed Sirius, who had his wand drawn, and Remus outside and they had stumbled upon a badly hurt Shadow who was curled around an unrecognizable mass of fur, blood and inwards. Harry had been inconsolable for weeks, even though Blacky had tried to cheer his master up with cute dog tricks.

Molly had suggested upon buying another cat, but somehow both Jennie and Sirius had felt that it would be all wrong. So now there was only Shadow, and Jennie felt almost ditched by the cat since the feline favored Harry nowadays. Almost, since she knew that her cat was smarter than most; the feline understood that Harry needed comfort and provided him with it.

"Hi beautiful.."

"Hi Sirius… do you have five minutes?" she asked and leaned into his hug.

"For you, I have ten", he joked and followed her upstairs and into their bedroom.

"I saw something earlier, something that I had almost forgotten, and I have to ask you if you might know what it is", she said as she lay and pulled him down beside her.

Sirius quirked a black eyebrow at her.

"Can't guarantee anything darling but ask away!"

"Some years ago, I talked with Harry and told him how much he means to me, and by the time we finished that talk, he said that he loved me as much, and he also promised not to get into trouble by his own will…"

"Okay…and?" Sirius inquired and played with her hair, kissed some strands and braided others.

"And… small bright green dots suddenly began to swirl round us, well from Harry and into the air around us to be exact… I haven't been able to find even an inkling to what kind of magic that was, do you know something?"

Sirius closed his eyes, and she watched him as he obviously pondered very intensely over her question.

"Ah… I'm not sure love… stay here, I'll be right back."

Jennie chuckled as he sprinted out of the room and returned in two minutes with a thick book.

"If there's any book that'll know, it's this", he told her as he sat in the bed and opened the large tome.

"Can you read to me? Please?" she begged and he grinned and gave her a quick kiss on the nose.

"´Little is known about the phenomenon that is a merging of souls, since there are many different uniting's… one branch, the one embraces familiar love and security, is more well know; this merging happens mostly when two individuals expresses deep love and fondness in a parent-child way, or a similar way… some ways to see if this has occurred are as follows: a series of energy beams, dots or sparkles bursts from the magical beings and dances about before fading away… other seeable effect are not known off… nothing is certain… no records… Ah well love, I think you have adopted Harry magically, so that blood thing you did with Minerva and Petunia worked tne times as well!"

Jennie blinked.

"Wait, what?!"

Harry petted Shadow and threw a large stick for Blacky to fetch as the sun crept lower on the sky.

"Harry! Dinner honey!"

"Coming mum!" he shot back at the blonde woman who was beaming at him. Harry gathered Shadow in his arms, whistled on Blacky and walked inside.

"You, little man, are sneaky!" Jennie accused him as she pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheek.

"Hey it's not my fault you a totally great!" he huffed in played annoyance. Jennie had told him about the family soul bond thing an hour earlier and he felt nothing but rightness about the whole thing, even though he of course was a little surprised to hear it.

Hi kid! You up for hamburgers with mean barbeque sauce?" grinned his godfather and pulled him down on a chair and gave him a plate before Harry could answer.

"I guess I am now", he joked and Sirius ruffled his hair.

"Boys, be nice", laughed Jennie as she poured them elderberry drinks.

"You know, I was thinking", Harry told the grownups after some munching and silken, and they gave him curious looks. "You two really love each other by now, right?" he went on, and as they nodded and shared silly cute grins, he finished, "You should totally marry each other.", and watched Jennie choke on her drink and Sirius bark with laughter.

"Ha… harry what… argh… what gave you that idea?" Jennie asked between coughs. Harry snorted at her.

"Oh come on! You're like totally great together and I think marriage is for people who are in love, really, really deep love."

"What have you done to the kid, Sirius?"

"Me? I haven't done shit woman! You're the one who keeps sneaking him sappy romantic books!" laughed his godfather and Jennie grinned sheepishly.

"Well, yes, but you are... manly influence! So it's your fault!"

Harry died.

"You two… perfect", he laughed and received annoyed glares from both adults.

However, an hour later Harry was spying on the people he considered his parents. They sat in the living room, cuddled together on the couch, and some piano music filled the air.

"Hey… do you want to get married?" asked Sirius and Harry heard Jennie scoff.

"That was lame, just lame. I'm not kissing you now."

"Aw come one love! You know you want to!"

"Nope!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"You're beautiful."

Harry could hear the satisfied tone in hos godfathers voice as he spoke 'cause seconds later he also hear kissing noises.

"You're so silly Sirius…"

"I love you too."

Harry decided to join the party.

"I want some love too! Give me hugs!" he shouted as he jumped inside them room. He was met by funny looks and then bombarded with hugs.
