Jaxsyn was so happy that Fred and George were staying at Hogwarts because their parents went to see their older brother Charlie in Romania. Severus had talked to Narcissa and told her that Jaxsyn was going to stay with him during all holidays. Severus had really started to spend time with his goddaughter, but he sensed that something was wrong. Jaxsyn had been less social and wanted to be alone most of the time.
The day of Christmas Eve Fred and George had started to become worried about Jaxsyn. She hadn't been eating and Jaxsyn would stay locked up in her room. So they decided to go and check on Jaxsyn. Fred carried lots of her favourite pranking supplies while George carried some of her favourite candy. They knocked on the door that lead to Jaxsyn's dorm.
"Jaxsyn please open up the door" George said loud enough for her to hear on the other side of the door.
"We brought prank supplies and candy" Fred tried to bribe her. But nothing happened they didn't hear any shuffling on the other side. They wait for twenty minutes before they gave up and decided to go to their least favourite teacher, Professor Snape.
Severus was in the middle of rereading a lesson plan when two of his least favourite students burst into his classroom shouting. He couldn't help but let out a groan of annoyance as he got up from his desk and walked over to them.
"What" Severus snapped at the two.
"Professor Snape we are worried about Jaxsyn" George said.
"She isn't coming out of her room, she isn't eating nor is she talking to anyone" Fred explained. Severus scowled at them but then realised that the twins weren't lying.
"Thank you for informing me. I will handle the situation" Severus growled at the two. He then walked out of his classroom and made his way towards Minerva's classroom.
"Minerva I need to get into the Gryffindor common room now" Severus exclaimed as he entered the classroom. Minerva looked up from her papers and gave him a weird look.
"Why?" Minerva questioned as she walked over to the young professor.
"It's Jaxsyn! Something is wrong with her and I need to talk to her immediately" Severus explained to the older professor.
"Come with me" Minerva told him as she left the classroom. Severus quickly followed her throughout the castle to the painting. Once Minerva had whispered the password to the portrait she showed him to Jaxsyn's door. Once Severus burst through the door to Jaxsyn's dorm he saw her lying unconscious on the ground.
"Minerva warn Pomfrey that I'm bringing a student to the Medical wing now!" Severus yelled. Severus then picked Jaxsyn up and rushed to the medical wing. When he got to the medical wing he saw Madame Pomfrey getting a bed ready.
"Professor Snape put Miss Malfoy here" Madame Pomfrey said as she pointed towards a bed. Severus put the first year down on to the bed and got out of the way. Madame Pomfrey immediately started to run tests on Jaxsyn.
"Severus you need to leave. You can come back in an hour and see her" Madame Pomfrey told him as she rushed around frantically. Severus left to go see Dumbledore.
Two hours later…..
The twins, Snape, McGonagall and Dumbledore all sat in the medical wing. Fred and George sat by Jaxsyn's bed, while the three professors talked to Madame Pomfrey.
"Want is wrong with her Madame Pomfrey?" Dumbledore asked.
"Well her heart rate is low for one. There are several possibilities to why she is like this. She could've tried to kill herself which is a high possibility. However there is a type of poison that can either be a liquid or a gas. If you consume the poison it kills you very slowly. Dark wizards like the ones Miss Malfoy has grown up around have found a way to lace paper with this poison. There is one other possibility; she could've contracted a muggle disease that we have not yet heard of. But I highly doubt that third one" Madame Pomfrey explained to the professors.
"Madame Pomfrey will you be able to fix it?" McGonagall asked.
"If it is the first one then yes. If it is the poison I cannot fix that. There is no cure for that type of poison yet. However if it is a muggle disease then I would have to go to the muggle world and find a cure if there is one" Madame Pomfrey told them.
"Thank you Madame Pomfrey" Dumbledore said before turning to Snape. "Severus you should send a letter to Narcissa telling her what has happened. Keep her informed what's happening throughout this too. Make sure Lucius does not get a hold of the letter" Dumbledore ordered Snape. Snape then left to write the letter to Narcissa.
