42 December 8 1997
Sirius cursed as he watched over Remus. The man had begged him to be stunned this day; the full moon would rise in exactly six hours and Remus had been all nerves and no reason ever since he awoke, so Sirius had heeded his friends wish.
"Sirius… what do we if… if we don't get away from here?" asked Harry in a soft voice.
"We'll be fine Harry, and even if we should be stuck here tonight, we'll be okay."
"But I haven't fully mastered my Animagi yet!"
Sirius smiled reassuringly.
"Which is why we well practice a little more now. So, focus."

Jennie was pacing again. Quick, worried pacing. She sensed that she annoyed the others in the room, but she didn't give a fuck at the moment. The full moon would be up in only two hours, and Severus ad the little rescuing squad had not returned, which Jennie figured they should have had since Severus had stalked Albus down and demanded to be told about Sirius, Remus's and Harry's exact location. But, as of yet, no one had arrived.
"Jennie, can you perhaps sit down for a minute? Have a cup of tea, dear", said Molly softly, but with a little edge to her voice.
"No, sorry, I can't sit down Molly. Tonks is changing hair colors; I'm pacing, that's it."
The red haired witch sighed.
"Well, I understand that you are worried dear but-"
"If you understand me, then why are you trying to make me nonchalance my feelings? With all due respect Molly, it's not nice. Now, I'll pace some more, if you excuse me", she said and paced to the window and look out, paced back to the door and peek outside to the hall and returned to the window. She saw something. Or, rather, someone. A big black shaggy dog jumped alongside a black and brown Rottweiler. Jennie blinked.
"What the hell… Tonks, let's rush!"
They rushed outside, side my side, and came to a shaky halt a few feet from the animals.
"Sirius?"
The black dog vanished.
"Hello there, darling. You look a little pale."
Jennie laughed shakily.
"I'll kill you", she said and flung herself at him.
"Nah, that'll be no fun."
"Jennie, you can't be fucking serious; we are fine, and you want to kill us?!" said harry half amused and in half pretended anger.
"I'm not even commenting that… I see you finally went around the bend, jud. Good for you."
She dropped her death grip around Sirius and pulled her ruffled hair boy in a hug.
"Comment on what? Oh! Ew!"
"You've no one but yourself to blame there kid", laughed Sirius.
Jennie peeked up and saw a very distraught Remus being crushed by Tonks.
"We'll go with him", said Sirius softly and Jennie blinked.
"Both of you? I get you, dark tall and handsome,, but Harry – are you really up for this?"
"Yes."
Jennie shrugged.
"Okay, I'll have some snacks ready for you then. Remus, take care!"
The werewolf nodded softly and gave her a small smile.
"Jennie, here, take this to the room, okay?"
Sirius hugged her close as he spoke and Jennie felt him slip something inside the pocked of her bathrobe. He kissed her cheek and returned to Remus, hoisted the man upright and joked about him having no secret weight.
"Harry, take care."
"Will do, you too Jennie. See you tomorrow."
Jennie watched as the three men vanished, and then she turned to Severus, who was looking at her with a knowing gleam in his black eyes.
"Care to assist me?" she asked and jokingly offered him her arm. He snorted and flared past her in a blurry of black robes.

"So, this is the final test I guess… you're certain it wonät feel me since I'm non magical?"
Jennie glanced at Severus as she spoke.
"Positive."
"Alright then, I'm going in."
She entered the small room, took the wrapped object Sirius had given her and let it fall on the floor. The wrapping fell away and she was looming upon a small golden goblet.
"Fancy", she admitted aloud.
Jennie walked to a small bureau, pulled open a drawer and returned to the goblet with a long white the in hand.
"Goodbye evil thing."
She stabbed the cup, expected to hear and see evil trying to creep unto her, but felt, heard and saw nothing.
"Well, that was anticlimactic…"
The cup melted away, leaving a burn mark on the floor. Jennie put the basilisk fang back in the drawer and left the room.
"So? Heard anything?"
Severus nodded, and Jennie detected something akin to repulse in his eyes.
"I'm sorry. Care for chocolate?"
"No thank you. Goodbye."
The spy left, and Jennie chuckled as she made her way to the bedroom for a couple of hours sleep.

Harry didn't understand how Sirius had coped the full moons for so many years; he himself felt thoroughly done, the only thing holding him up was his godfathers arm – Sirius half carried him into the kitchen where they were met my delicious hot chocolate and a somewhat tired Jennie who fussed over them until Sirius shut her up with a kiss, which made Harry grin sleepily. He went to bed shortly after finish his chocolate, certain that he'd be feeling dead when he woke again.
