A/N: Sorry for the long wait for this story update, I've been really really busy with general life related things. I'm back now and I'll be getting this story finished A.S.A.P because I have a big one planned for part 3 that I've spent months working out in my head while I've been away. I've also had a hard time trying to get this particular part of the story right, I just can't get it the way I wanted to tell it, but it's all relevant and I hope you like it all the same :)

SG-1 remain in silence for several minutes after seeing the destruction of Uihado and all of it's inhabitants die so violently.

"What the heck just happened?" asks Mitchell.

Sam suddenly clutches her stomach and turns and walks a few feet away from the others, she hunches over and is sick on the floor.

Jack swiftly follows Sam and stands with his hand on her back, "Are you all right?" he asks.

Sam wipes her mouth with her arm and stands up straight facing Jack, "Yeah." she replies.

Nym turns and faces them all, her facial expression shows that she didn't enjoy watching what just happened anymore than SG-1 did, "You needed to see." she says.

"I'm sorry I don't understand." asks Daniel.

"Your time here is short and I apologise for forcing those horrific scenes upon you, but you need to understand the danger you've put yourselves in." says Nym.

Jack shakes his head in confusion, "What danger?...look, will you tell us what the hell is going on." he snaps.

Nym takes a shallow breath and then composes herself before speaking, "We come from..." she says.

Before she can continue she's interrupted by Vala, "We?" she asks.

"Vala!" says Daniel.

"What?" replies Vala.

"Just...let her talk." says Daniel, "Please go on." he adds.

Nym continues, "We come from a galaxy called Iepo, a galaxy that was lost a long time ago. Like you, we were a peaceful people and lived harmoniously with the other races and worlds around us. Thanks to the Tura we were able to...".

Daniel glances quickly at the others before butting in, "I'm sorry..the Tura?" he asks, to Vala's surprise.

"Oh you're allowed to ask a question but I'm not?!" snaps Vala.

"No I'm just.." says Daniel.

Nym points behind them towards the gate, "The Tura is a network of rings that connected the planets in our galaxy." she says.

"What happened to shut up and let her talk." says Vala, folding her arms and slightly turning away looking very moody.

Daniel rolls his eyes.

Nym continues to explain...

"The Tura allowed us to move freely and quickly between worlds and although they were many, they were essentially one. We lived together as one, we had no rulers, we shared all our resources, we were free, we were happy and we lived this way for millions of years.

One day a ship entered our galaxy and without provocation it began attacking us, moving from planet to planet as it moved forward through our galaxy leaving nothing but death and destruction in its wake.

It happened quickly and we were unprepared, ships were despatched from nearby planets to intercept and stop it in its tracks but it was just too powerful and their ships were no match against it and it continued pushing forward, even worse, we detected more ships approaching the outer edge of our galaxy.

Within a matter of days one enemy ship had turned into a hundred and two thirds of our galaxy had been completely obliterated, we had no communication with them and no understanding of any reason why they were doing this to us, it felt like we were simply being exterminated.

Our galaxy was made up of many races and we cared for each other and protected each other, we cared about all living things, but out of all the planets in our galaxy there was one that we all cared very dearly about, Ceopa, a young planet where life had only just sprung.

Life on Ceopa had barely begun and certainly had no way of defending itself against this menace, when we realised we had no chance of winning or surviving this fight, we collectively decided to put all our efforts in to defending Ceopa.

Those of us that were left began gathering every space capable ship we had, farming vessels, landscaping ships, planetary transports, science vessels and began modifying their equipment into any type of weapon we could and when we were finished we moved them all in to formation near Ceopa and prepared for the enemy ships to arrive.

The enemy ships soon appeared and the inevitable battle began, we had thousands of ships but they weren't built for battle and the weapons they had didn't appear to do any damage at all, within moments the enemy had taken out hundreds of our ships and just kept coming.

We made an instant decision to turned around several of our fastest ships and send them to Ceopa, they collected as many life forms as they could and fled as the last of our defence ships fell to the enemy, the moment Ceopa was destroyed, our galaxy was gone, it was as if it was never there.

Thousands of worlds, billions of souls, lost forever."

As Nym finishes telling her story she lowers her head slightly, as do all of SG-1 who don't quite know what to say after hearing that.

"I'm...I'm sorry, Nym." says Sam.

Nym looks at Sam and simply smiles and nods lightly.

"Did you ever find out what they were?" asks Jack.

"No. All we know is that they're violent and the only communication we had from them was a brief signal containing a single word, 'Omitus', and we never discovered it's meaning." replies Nym.

"What happened to those of you that got away?" asks Daniel.

"They placed themselves in stasis and travelled as far as they could for as long as they could, after several thousand years they came across a galaxy that had many worlds capable of sustaining life but had no signs of life. They decided to settle there and they successfully re-homed the life forms of Ceopa on to many different worlds in the region." says Nym.

"What of the enemy ships?" asks Teal'c.

"They didn't follow and we never saw them again." replies Nym.

"Where are the Ceopa now?." asks Vala.

"The Ceopa evolved in to many different forms, some of which stand before me." replies Nym.

"Scuse me?!" says Jack.

"Are you...are...what?!" asks Daniel, "Us...you're talking about us?" he adds.
