"Yes, your people are descendants of the Ceopa." says Nym.

Mitchell takes a few steps forward, "Hold on a second. Jackson, you said we were descendants of the Ancients, right?" he says.

"We are. Nym, our people are descendants of a race we call the Ancients who came to this galaxy from their own millions of years ago." replies Daniel.

"And they too were descendants of the Ceopa. Your galaxy was not the galaxy our people settled in. After millions of years of evolution the original descendants of the Ceopa in their many different forms ventured out in to space and populated other worlds in other galaxies, most life in this part of space is a direct result of that." explains Nym.

They all begin to understand now that Nym has explained, the Ceopa evolved and spread to other galaxies, as they populated other worlds they continued to evolve in to the many different life forms and races that we know of today.

Vala suddenly starts bouncing gently up and down waving her arm in the air, "Excuse me, hello. Does that make you a...are you a God?" she asks.

Nym grins, "No. I'm not a God. We did not create the Ceopa we merely saved them." she replies.

"Then we should thank you, we owe you our lives." says Daniel.

"We do?." asks Jack.

Daniel turns to Jack, "Yes. Don't you see, if they hadn't saved the Ceopa then we wouldn't exist. In fact everyone, the Ancients, Asgard..even the Goa'uld owe them their lives." he says.

"Goa'uld?, really!." replies Jack.

"Well maybe not the Goa'uld." says Daniel.

"Descendants of a cesspool more like. A very big, very large, very smelly cesspool..that's full of shi..." says Jack.

"SO, why exactly are we here?" shouts Daniel, very suddenly.

"I wasn't finished." says Jack.

Daniel gives Jack a quick sideways glance.

"Although the enemy didn't follow us to our new home, we still lived with the fear that one day they would return. Using the information we collected when they attacked we focussed our attentions on creating ways to defend against them, unfortunately we were never able to find a way to penetrate whatever materiel their ships were made of, so we built a number of devices designed to detect and hopefully trap them.

The devices required massive amounts of power and the only way to ensure we would have enough power was to tap in to the core of a planet, when the enemy's energy signature was detected, the device would activate and collapse the planet in on itself creating a singularity that would trap and crush them, the planet you were on contained one of these devices." explains Nym.

"Then the enemy you spoke of is here?" asks Teal'c.

"No. The devices were designed to detect the energy signature of the enemy, what we never imagined was that that energy would be found within a life form." replies Nym.

Nym slowly walks over and stands in front of Sam, "Within you." she says.

Sam looks shocked, "Me?" she says, pointing at herself, "I'm not the enemy." she adds.

"She's not one of them." says Mitchell.

"I know." says Nym, she looks at Sam again, "But the fact that your body contains their energy has placed you all in grave danger, that is why I brought you here, to warn you." she says.

"Warn us about what?" asks Jack.

"About them." replies Nym.

"The enemy..but you just said they weren't here." says Jack.

"This may come as a shock but despite appearances I'm not real, I merely took this form so that I may communicate with you." says Nym.

"If you're not real then what are you?" asks Daniel.

"Despite the best efforts of our people to rebuild what they had lost and grow their population, it wasn't meant to be, my people became extinct millions of years ago, although the ruins on which you now stand, all that remains of our original home galaxy Iepo, they are real but I am not." says Nym.

"You're a hologram." says Sam.

"I suppose I am." says Nym, she waves her hand while looking over towards one of the crumbled stone columns, the column flickers and vanishes revealing a silver cylinder device with lights spinning around it.

"When my people knew their attempts to rebuilt their population was failing, they created this filled with all their knowledge and history and brought it back to where Iepo once was, so they would be remembered, I am a..hologram..of the intelligence within." explains Nym.

"Like a probe or time capsule." says Daniel.

"So Uihado that we saw being destroyed, that wasn't real?" asks Sam.

"It is also equipped with very powerful sensors, that is how I knew you were on that planet when the trap was activated, but it is also how, at that same moment I detected the presence of the enemy. What you saw was a visual representation of the data the sensors were gathering in real time, the enemy has indeed returned. I believe these two events coinciding is more than a coincidence, the sensors have predicted they are heading in the direction of your home galaxy so you are in grave danger." replies Nym.

Jack and Mitchell glance at each other, "How long do we have?" asks Jack.

"Judging by their current rate of travel, ten, maybe twelve days until they reach your region of space." replies Nym.

A few moments of silence pass with no one saying a single word, they just look deep in thought, thinking about what Nym has told them and that the same thing could now happen to them.

Nym begins to slowly walk around them, "Come, I will send you home." she says.

They all turn around, remaining quiet they follow Nym back to the gate.

Nym turns around, "My sensors are powerful, I've had millions of years to read and explore the universe, it is a wondrous thing." she says.

"In all that time you never found out where those things came from?, you can't tell us anything more about them, anything that could help us." asks Sam.

"That is one of the many mysteries that still remains unsolved, I've had great difficulty finding their point origin, they simply appear and then disappear. I'm sorry I can't be any help, but now you know they're coming you have a chance, don't give up." replies Nym.

Suddenly the symbols on the gate all glow orange all at once.

"It is time for you to go." says Nym.

Vala points at the gate, "Through that?..where's the whooshy thing?." she asks, referring to the lack of a shimmering blue vortex.

"Your Stargates are very similar to the Tura, but they work differently. Your journey home may be a little bumpy but do not worry, you will get home safe." says Nym.

"Yeah about that, did your people build these, the Tura?" asks Daniel, still curious about the gate.

"They're not our creation. The Tura was a part of our galaxy long before there was life. Our history records say that they were created by a race called the Echoe's, our people referred to the Tura builder as Itus." replies Nym.

"Itus...Itus?!" says Daniel to himself, thinking he knows that word but can't quite remember what it meant.

"Come on Daniel, let's go." says Jack.

Mitchell, Teal'c, Vala and Sam had already began walking towards the gate, when Daniel joins Jack they turn and see the others vanish like ghosts as they step under the ring, "Spooky" says Jack, "Come on." he adds and they start walking.

As they reach the gate, Daniel briefly turns and waves back at Nym, then he and Jack step under the ring and vanish like the others.

Nym stood and watched as they all went through the ring, "Safe journey." she says, then she gently lowers her head with a look of worry and loneliness on her face, then she glows and turns into specks of dust that spread and then fade away.

SG-1, to everyone's surprise at the SGC, made it back safely through the gate, just as Nym had told them the journey was a little bit bumpy and they came through the gate with a tiny bit of force but no one was badly injured, Sam, however, appeared to pass out moments after coming through the gate and she was taken to the infirmary.

Landry was happy to see them back safe and well, he wants to hear all about what happened and has asked SG-1 to meet him in the briefing room when they've had time to eat and rest.

The Daedalus, which was in orbit around P3X-474 for several hours, witnessed the planet crumble and fold in to a singularity which then vanished without a trace, believing SG-1 to have perished they contacted the SGC to deliver the bad news but were then very relieved when they were notified that SG-1 was in fact alive and well, with nothing more to do here the Daedalus continued on its original journey back to Pegasus.

A few hours after their return, SG-1 with the exception of Sam gathered in the briefing room with Landry and an IOA representative, they informed them of their encounter with Nym and what they had learnt about this new threat, the IOA didn't believe them at first saying it was ridiculous and another attempt by SG-1 to make the situation sound more dire than it actually is, it took a long discussion and a lot of shouting from Jack to finally convince them that this threat was real.

They immediately sprung in to action, the IOA representative left the base to fly back to Washington and Landry went in to his office and got on the phone with the President, the leaders of the world are now gathering to discuss what action to take in order to deal with this threat.

If this threat is truly as bad as Nym said it was, then there may not be anything they can do about it.

A few hours later, Jack and Daniel are standing in the infirmary holding cold cups of coffee watching over Sam and waiting for Dr Lam to inform them of her condition, the rest of the team are in the canteen waiting for Jack and Daniel.

Dr Lam walks into the infirmary holding a clipboard.

"Hey Doc, how's she doing?" asks Jack, as he and Daniel turn to face her by the door.

"She's doing fine, we ran some tests and took some x-rays but luckily she hasn't suffered any major injuries, her blood work came back fine. We believe she just passed out from dehydration, we're giving her lots of fluids and all we can do now is let her rest." explains Dr Lam.

"So she's ok?" asks Jack.

"Yes." replies Dr Lam, she places her hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry, she and the baby are doing fine." she adds, then walks over to her desk.

"Thank's Doc." says Jack.

"Good news." says Daniel.

"Yeah." replies Jack.

A few moments pass with them standing looking at Sam's bed and drinking their stale coffee, then they suddenly look puzzled, they then turn their heads to face each other and simultaneously say the exact same thing.

"Baby?"

The end.
