The grand finale! Enjoy!

"Anything?"

The werewolf beside her shook his head and Jennie cursed mentally.

"We move", she muttered and the little troop surged forward in the darkness.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Jennie whirled around as her surroundings lit green. Chaos erupted. She ducked, kicked, hit and jumped her way out of spells, got cuts and was pushed and thanked some higher force that she managed to stay alive.

"Now Tonks!" Jennie hollered and the pink haired witch twirled around beside her, sparks flew from her wand high in the air, a Death Eater threw a green light at Tonks, missed by an inch and Tonks in turn finish him off with a grim look.

"Hate killing! Feel like shit!" she told Jennie before they were separated once more.

Their diversion seemed to work; they were totally outnumbered which was just what they had hoped for.

Jennie smirked grimly and smacked a man in the neck, making him drop to the ground.

Things were grim, but Jennie knew everything bad happened so that the good that followed could prosper higher than ever.

Sirius snorted, his senses overwhelmed by a fraud, nasty smell that made him constantly on guard, ears raised and eyes alert, paws ready for an attacking jump.

"You sensing something?" whispered the black haired boy beside him. Sirius nudged Harry's arm in confirmation and trotted to the right. The group followed him.

The room they entered was big and empty aside from the lonely man in black robes. His hairless face was pale as ice and his eyes gleamed red.

"Ah, the little attack group! Did you think I would not know of your diversion?"

Sirius shifted.

"Of course you would somehow now, at some time, but clearly you got wind of it too late", he pointed out lazily.

"I think not."

Something moved in the shadows.

"Hello cousin, look what I have!" cackled Bellatrix and pushed a bleeding form on the floor before her.

"Oh, don't mind me, sexy, I'll smash your relative in a minute."

Sirius snorted as he looked Jennie over; she didn't seem to be hurt too badly.

"Do that."

"Really? You're sort of flirting even now?" giggled Hermione from his right.

"Sure, makes things not so scary", rasped Jennie from the floor, and she howled when Bellatrix hit her with an for Sirius unknown spell.

"Fucking bitch! Hitting me in the back? Coward!"

Sirius watched amused and worried as Jennie suddenly exploded, he legs sending Bellatrix straight into a wall where the dark witch sacked into unconsciousness.

"Too easy", commented Jennie in a bored voice and then she met his eyes and winked trice.

The room exploded into chaos; Death Eaters sprang in from another room and Sirius and the little group found themselves busy stunning, capturing and killing.

He noted with content that Jennie stayed with Harry.

####

Why did they not die?! It was so annoying! He snarled and killed a redhead, slashed the leg of a faceless wizard and cursed a woman into a slow boiling dead.

Then the boy stood before him, blocking the curses, determination on his face.

"Hello Harry. Prepare to die."

####

Jennie watched as the two wizards fought; she acted like a body guard and stopped anyone who tried to disarm or hurt Harry; things had to be finished know.

"Harry, you never learn!" she heard Voldemort cackle, and then she saw Harry's wand being cast through the room; she managed to get to it as it landed on the floor, but it was broken – how that could be she didn't know – so she whirled around, saw Harry being cornered and hurled herself across the space and into the young man's arms.

"Wandless magic, darling, you'll be marvelous. Do it know. Love you, everyone does", she sighed in his ear and then made him meet her eyes, just as the felt a rush of something behind her. She did not flinch as the world turned green.

####

Harry felt numb. Jennie dropped to the ground, the smile filled with love still on her lips.

Wandless magic, everyone loved him. He looked down at her, then up at Voldemort.

"I pity you, you bring nothing but destruction", Harry whispered as his magic crackled and whooshed in his body.

The unleashing felt like hugging an unwilling person, like he welcomed Voldemort into something that the wizard could not understand, would not, accept. Harry did not budge. He saw Jennie, his mum and dad, like barley there shadows and they were all beaming at him. Fred joined them, giving thumbs up.

'For you', Harry thought. 'For you and everyone, but mostly for you. I love you.'

He pushed one more time. The white, black clothed body that was Voldemort fell down; covered in golden light which slowly faded until the body lay in shadows, still and unbreathing.

Harry felt like he had done something good that sort of outnumbered everything else good he had done; he knew that it of course wasn't like that, but that's how he felt in the moment.

The four distinct shapes smiled wider at him, whispered words of love and encouragement, bade him to tell other's to not be sad, to not be sad himself for they were never far away. They faded away, with a final large smile each, and he was alone in the remaining confusing that was aftermath of a war.

It felt nice to burn the place down. The fire rose higher as he let the magic rush around him. The others stood a bit away, scared, he noticed but Sirius felt somewhat numb and didn't care. Thy had won, some had died and he needed to do something or he'd break, and he had nothing left to break but life and somehow he didn't want that, even if it meant seeing loved one's again.

The air around him was cool, surprisingly since he stood very close to the fire.

"Better out than in."

Sirius smirked.

"Sur thing love."

"Sirius, who are you talking too?" asked Harry.

Sirius blinked and realized that the young wizard had left the others and joined him by the burning dark headquarters.

"No one, I just remembered something Jennie told me", he mumbled and then turned his face upwards as the rain begin to fell. How fitting. In rain, no one saw tears. So Sirius collected Harry in a hug and held him as the kid cried, and he let himself cry as well 'cause Jennie was right, better out than in.

Just like war, Sirius figured, best to get everything out and end it than close things in. Like Harry had done, he'd pushed out and now they were both a bit broken but it was okay since things would fix themselves in time. Mostly.

Aftermath was at least something that required focus and that was what Sirius needed now, something to hang on to.

"Why do you think she did it? I mean, the spell wouldn't have hurt me!" harry said for thee tenth time that evening.

"She loved you", said Draco calmly.

"But-"

"No, harry, that's why, there are no buts", came a raspy voice from the doorway and Harry turned a little and watched as Sirius dragged himself inside and collapsed in an armchair.

"You two doing okay?" asked the log haired wizard.

"Don't know", mumbled Harry honestly.

"Things will better, kid. We just need some time", his godfather assured him.

"Are you okay then?" retorted Harry and Sirius chuckled humorlessly.

"No."

They sat in silence. Better days would surely come, but for now, they grieved.
