Hey, I'm Pugpie15. I've adopted this story from GreenPhoenix3 and will try to do the best I can from this point on! If you have any suggestions or comments (good or bad) don't be afraid to let me know! I want to thank everyone who's wished me luck on this story and I hope not to disappoint any of you. ^_^
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M NOT YOUR MOTHER, GARFIELD?" Elasti-Girl screamed utterly dismayed that her only son said she wasn't his mother. He hasn't reacted this way to her since the first couple of weeks after she adopted him.
"Exactly as I said. My Mother drowned to Death when I was five years old. You don't even look anything like her! She had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, and she had peach colored skin! So how could you possibly be my mother!?" Garfield did not like this strange woman who claimed to be his mother.
The rest of the team looked at the display in horror as Elasti-Girl became enraged at Beastboy, the boy who she has raised as her own for so long. How dare he say that SHE was not his mother. If it wasn't for her he would be in jail right now, or possibly even dead. Her eyes blazed furiously as she prepared to unleash her wrath.
"I am your mother in the fact that I adopted you when you were 12, so don't you dare say that i'm not your mother." Elasti-Girl said in a cold voice.
Everyone, except Mento, looked at her wide-eyed as they had never expected sweet, gentle Elasti-Girl could say something like that. Robin took the deafening silence as an opportunity to explain to the Doom Patrol exactly what was going on with Beastboy.
"Elastigirl?" Robin gulped out.
"WHAT!?" She snarled.
"Garfield here lost part of his memory...In his mind right now he's only eleven years old...And he doesn't remember you at all..." Robin said slowly.
"Ohhhh, I'm sorry about all that then! Garfield, honey, I'm Rita and I'm your adoptive mother. Me and Steve over here adopted you once we caught you robbing a bank when you were 12." Elasti-Girl said blushing as she pulled Mento over beside her.
"No...You're lying...Why would someone like you adopt ME of all people, I mean look at me I'm a disgusting little freak." Garfield whispered in a sad, broken voice. He knew that there was no way someone would ever willingly adopt him, not even all the horrible people who used him for his powers would adopt him. No, they would only keep him locked up in the dark crevices of their basements. Even Gaultry didn't adopt him, he was court appointed by a judge since he was the next of kin to Garfield's mother.
"Honey, please don't talk about yourself like that! It's not true!" Elasti-Girl reprimanded him upset that he still thought so low of himself after everything.
"Why did you adopt me, then?" He suddenly asked.
"I couldn't bear the thought of a child not having anybody to take care of him and to raise him, but a bunch of thugs. So I talked Steve into adopted you and he agreed. So here we are 3 years later." Elasi-Girl explained.
"So what exactly happened to him?" Negative-Man asked trying to break the ice. Raven stepped up and started recounting the events that caused Beastboy's memory loss. Elasti-Girl couldn't help but notice Beastboy gazing at Raven mesmerized as she told what happened. 'So my baby boy's in love, huh?' She thought to herself knowing now that her baby was finally growing up.
"So Y'all wanna stay for breakfast?" Cyborg asked craving some waffles. THe rest of the Titans (minus Beastboy) rolled their eyes at Cyborg's appetite.
"Really Cyborg? You can't wait a few more hours?" Raven snarked in her signature sarcastic monotone.
"Ya know ya like my waffles RAAAAVEN!"
"Yes, Cyborg, more than life itself..." Raven replied. Cyborg pouted at Raven's lack of interest.
"Actually I think it would be better if we gave Garfield, here, time to adjust, we'll visit again soon, though." Mento spoke for his team holding a hand over Elasti-Girl's mouth so she couldn't object and ushered his team out of Titan's Tower.
"Now how 'bout those waffles?" Cyborg asked rubbing his hands together happily.
"Umm Cyborg, You can wait a few hours until Beastboy feels up to eating breakfast." Robin said authoratively.
Cyborg just stomped all the way back to his room mumbling stuff about "Stupid Boy Blunders" and "Annoying Traffic Lights".
So how was it? Next Time We'll see how Beastboy reacts to Cyborg asking him if he wants to eat meat!
