A/N - Hey everyone hope you all had the best Holiday/Chirstmas season and are all prepared for the new year.

Chapter 14

When Eric says he brought food I didn't think that he would have brought the whole buffet. There is enough here for at least 30 people. I know he hasn't had to worry about feeding a human for, well many years but this is way too much for just me. What does he think I am a steam train guzzling up coal every second to keep running? Well the answer to that is no I am not.

"Eric, thank you again for the food but you could of just grabbed one plate and not two trolleys full of food" There was such a variety in front of me but still way too much here. Most of this will go bad but I guess there is not much I can do about it now.

"Unfortunately Sookie I have never seen you eat so I am not sure what you like. This is as much for you as it is for me. You are in my care so I should know what foods you like to consume for future knowledge"

"Eric I appreciate the sentiment but I have fed myself for years. Instead of this you could always just ask me what I like. You could have saved yourself a lot of money"

"I do not care about money just about taking care of your needs, weather that be food, a place to sleep or any extra circular activities"

"I am going to ignore that and just start eating" I said as I turned away from him towards the spread before me. Grabbing a plate and cutlery I dished up some pasta, vegetables and a steak. Pretty boring combination for the array of food before me but I'll sample most of it later on.

Eating a few mouthfuls of this perfectly cooked meal I looked towards Eric and Godric. Their eyes were fixated on my face as I am guessing I either made a big mess of myself and there are food bits all over my face or they have some weird fetish with women eating food. Putting down my meal for a second I turn and address the both of them.

"Are you guys alright? Or is my eating interrupting something." I paused for a few seconds to see if they had something to say but they both just shook their heads and smiled. "Ok well if you have nothing to say, I have a question."

"Godric" I said addressing him "Didn't you have something you needed to speak to me or us about?"

"Straight to the point as usual ma petite but yes I you are correct. Sookie, Eric I have decided to leave my place here and join you back in Shreveport. I know I have caused a big enough mess here and I wish to leave it in more capable hands. If it is alright with the both of you I'd like to join you on your way back home". I was beginning to wonder when we would be going back. Granted we have been here less than a week but it seems like a lifetime since I have left my cosy house and bed. Excited that Godric will be returning with us I jumped up and engulfed him in a big hug. Now as you know vampires are not ones for displays of affection unless it is in their best interest. You know sex or for feeding, those two go hand in hand often, but Godric was different and returned my hug with as much enthusiasm. "I guess that is a yes from you my dear?" He asks while I am nodding my head up and down like a bobble headed toy.

"Eric, is this acceptable? Am I permitted to join you? Eric just sat there for a moment as though he had many thoughts running through his head. "Godric, Father, nothing would please me greater. I have spent too many years without you around and I would love you to join us" Godric beamed and a genuine smile broke out on his face. He enveloped Eric in a rather large but tender hug which made me feel as though I was intruding on their special moment.

Realising that the hug was ending I asked the question that was on everyone's mind. "So, when are we leaving?"

The next day or two was spent with Godric dealing with his resignation and departure from the area. Papers were signed, meetings were held and even a party or two was thrown. It is safe to say that I was more than ready to leave Dallas. With our packing finished we left the hotel and arrived at the airport without delay. Eric generously brought the three of us first class tickets back home. We spent the plane trip relaxed and ready to start the next part of our lives.

Pam picked us up from the airport by means of her decked out van. Practically it was a closet/dressing room with everything sealed in plastic. I am guessing this van was used for more than an outfit change. Al least there was enough room for Godric and I to sit. Thankfully Eric took the front or we would have all been pretty squishy. Not that I would have minded too much. What am I saying of course I would have… probably?

Deciding to forget the treacherous thoughts that are practically shouting at me I started a conversation with the person seated beside me. "Godric, where are you planning on living?"

Godric turned and faced me "Well for the time being my dear I think I'll be residing with Eric until I can find a place of my own. You know Sookie I have never found out where you live. Is it close by?"

"I live about an hour from Shreveport in a little town called Bon Temps. It's not much but its home." I suddenly felt a little sad about the thought of going home alone. Although these last few days have been a big jumbled, stressful mess it occupied my time and mind so I barely had the chance to feel the loneliness I felt at home. Sensing my solemn mood Godric changed the subject.

"Sookie I never had the chance to thank you for saving me from my planned demise. I am truly glad that you rescued me and that I now have the chance to get to know you properly."

"Godric you do not need to thank me for that. I am just happy that you are here now, safe and sound."

He smiled down at me and pulled me in for a one arm hug. Upon kissing my forehead he asks "By the way Sookie, what was that light projecting from you in the FOTS Church?"

A/N - So I am not entirely happy with how this chapter turned out but let me know what you think?
Any guesses to what Sookies power is?
