The One
Chapter 21
"Princess America? Are you almost ready?" Anne peaked her head into the room.
"Yep! I'll be right out!" I smoothed over my lace dress. I had pale taupe shoes that had the smallest heel ever. I didn't have any jewelry on except my engagement ring.
We were to leave from the palace. So I walked outside, where the line of Royal Guard in formal uniform, horses, bands, and nice cars- mostly convertibles- were waiting. A man in the Guard uniform approached me.
"Princess America, you'll be sitting with Prince Maxon in this convertible here." He motioned to a shiny sleek black convertible with the Royal Crest on the side. He opened the door and I slid gracefully in, taking a seat. He smiled at me like he had a joke he was holding back. "No, ma'am, up here." He padded the backrest, where there was folded cloth where the headrest of the seat should be.
"Up-?" I started to ask.
"Yes, ma'am. Up where that cloth is." I climbed up as gracefully as I could. He walked away and I sat there for a bit, waiting for the parade to start. Where's Maxon? I started fidgeting. Where is he? How long until the parade starts?
"Oh, good! You're here!" His voice right next to me scared me. He sounded slightly out of breath.
"Yeah, where have you been?"
"Getting something from my mother's private jewelry collection."
"This." He opened a large silver oriental box. What was in it caught my breath. It was beautiful. "It was my mother's, from when she won The Selection." He took it from the box and set it gently on my head. "There." He whispered. "Perfect." Our lips touched.
"Prince Maxon, time to get goin'!" The same man from before interrupted. He nodded and sat next to me. The man got into the drivers seat and we were on our way.

So I made this new facebook page for you guys. And nobody joins it but a few personal friends! So I want you guys to find my group on facebook, and ask to join it. then, to prove that it was you guys, I want you to tell me what you want to happen during the parade and the interview after that. That will be the entire chapter 21 unless it gets too long and I split it into two chapters. Then it'll be the wedding!
