"What!" I screamed in terror. Did Beast Boy really just say that!? I knew he would be angry, but not to this extent. He was staring me dead in the eye, and that's when I noticed... The same eyes that had once been a shining emerald green are now cold and lifeless. In his eyes I saw all the pain, rage, agony, and heartbreak that he had been forced to endure throughout his entire life. Now I realize how broken he really was behind his mask. All at once all of it had come to the surface. I shattered his heart and I've broken his mask.
"Why do you think I'm here, Raven!" In the past couple weeks I've seen the truth! I lost my memories of the past few years, so you fed me lies about how I was such a strong Titan. But now I realize how I was just your little pet...you used me just like everyone else who've I've ever come in contact with. So now I'm going to show you the real Garfield, the Garfield who was trained to kill!"
He shattered the silence between us. All I could think of was what happened to the Beast Boy I'd grown up with...and then he lunged.
I was too startled by the whole thing to use my powers. He knew this, and used it to his advantage! He morphed into a T-Rex and charged.
"Beast Boy NO!" I screamed as he knocked me through the wall and I fell into the ocean. I desperately tried to breathe, but it proved to be useless as my vision faded to black. The last thing I saw was Beast Boy looking down at me with a demented smile upon his face...
