The eight walked towards the ice made palace. It sparkled as the barely seen sun shined on it. It was in the color of blue, a little shade of purple. It was dazzling. The seven couldn't keep their eyes off of it and continued staring. Not Ene though. She wanted to go in.

"Woah!" Ene said as she floated towards the castle. "I go up first!" she said happily.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Shintaro warned her.

As Ene was about to float up the steps, she suddenly bumped on something hard and fell on the snow filled ground.

"What happened?" Ayano asked in shock.

"Spirits aren't allowed to enter a royal's territory unless given the permission. Princess Kido isn't here to do so, and I think she wouldn't say yes, so she and Konoha couldn't get in." Shintaro explained to Ayano. "So you," he said pointing at Ene. "And you," he said pointing at Konoha. "Stay here while the three of us go up."

Ayano turned to Hiyori and Hibiya. "You two stay here, okay?"

Hibiya and Hiyori nodded.

"Momo-san will be here to watch us, right?" Hiyori said as she wrapped her arm around Momo's arm. "And Konoha-kun can protect us!"

"Me?" Konoha said blankly as he pointed a finger at himself.

Hibiya gave a grudge, but he made sure nobody noticed.

"Okay," Kano said with a huge smile. "Let's go!" and he ran up the ice made stairs.

"Shuuya, don't run or you'll slip." Ayano scolded.

Shintaro giggled and followed them.

As they got up the stairs, Kano lifted one hand curled up, ready to knock on the huge thick ice made door. Ayano looked at Kano, wondering what his next move was.

"Shuuya, what are you doing?" she asked.

Then Kano knocked on the door as hard as he could and the door suddenly opened automatically. He stepped backwards in shock as this happened. "That's a start." he said with a sigh of relief. He stepped in and started to look around.

"Shuuya, be careful." Ayano said as she was about to step in.

"Ayano, no!" Shintaro said as she pulled her away from the doorstep. As he did, snow spikes appeared from the ground and ice door was slowly closing.

"Shuuya!" Ayano screamed.

"Onee-chan!" Kano said as he ran back to the door but was stopped.

"Kano, don't." Shintaro said. "You ca't cross this ice. Just go get the princess."

"Shuuya, if you're not back in five minutes, Shintaro and I are coming after you." Ayano said.

Kano nodded and the door came to a shut. Kano stared at the door, seeing a very blurry figure of Shintaro and Ayano from outside.

"Shuuya?" he heard from behind him. He immediately turned around a saw a girl with long green hair with a purple dress on from the top of a staircase. "What are you doing here?" she asked in shock.

"Tsubomi!" Kano said happily. "Thank goodness I found you." he said as he ran towards her.

"No! Stop!" Kido said and he stopped at the bottom of the staircase. "You should go home Shuuya." She said. "You don't belong here."

"I know I don't," Kano said. "I belong back in the kingdom... But still," he said with a smile. "I'm not going back down there without you."

"Shuuya, this isn't time for any jokes." Kido said. "I'm serious, you have to go back down there."

"Are you not happy to see me?" Kano asked, a little disappointment in his voice. He let one foot up the first step.

"Shuuya Kano, don't you dare." Kido said with a glare.

"Oh, I do dare." Kano said with a smirk as he stepped another step.

"Shuuya, stop it!" Kido yelled. "I'm serious!"

"Nope!" he said as he let up a fast pace. "You're not serious. You're Tsubomi Kido." he joked.

"Shuuya, STOP!" Kido screamed at Kano and a gush of ice cold wind hit him. He almost fell down the stairs but luckily he was able to hold on.

Kano looked up and saw Kido with a shocked expression on her face. He then saw tears running down her eyes and she fell on her knees. "No! I did it again!" she said as she cried.

Kano continued to walk up the stairs and he kneeled in front of Kido. Kdo's face was cupped in her own hands as she cried. Kano looked at her with worried eyes. He knew why she cried. It was just like before. She shut herself in her room because of him. She was always afraid because of him. Slowly by slowly, he remembered everything that had happened before.

"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" he heard Kido softly mumbling as she continued to cry.

Kano smiled at patted her head. Kido looked up as he did so. Shock was in her tear filled eyes. "You're not going to run away from me?" she asked.

"Why would I run away from you?" he said in confusion.

"I'm a monster. Don't you know that... I filled the land with snow... I.."

...

Suddenly she was cut off as Kano placed his lips on hers. Kido was shocked at what he had done at first but soon felt the sweet sensation of the kiss as well. Soon, Kano parted and looked at Kido with a smile. He wiped her tears away and set some strands of hair at the back of her ear. Kido was touched at what he had just done and kissed him again. Sooner, they parted.

"I wouldn't run from someone as beautiful as you." he said. "Tsubomi, you are not a monster. You are a princess. The most beautiful princess in the land. I wouldn't dare to run or stay away from you." he said with a serious look on his face. "I wouldn't run away from the girl I love." he said as he hugged her.

As she felt him hug her, she didn't hesitate to hug him back. Tears fell down her eyes again, but this time it was because of joy. "I'm sorry Shuuya! I'm sorry!" she said. "I was just scared because of what I did to you."

"It's okay." Kano said rubbing his hand continuously on her back. "Accidents happen."

Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming from outside. "Shuuya, it's been five minutes." a voice of a girl called.

Kido and Kano broke away from their hug to see Ayano coming. Ayano stopped from the bottom of the stairs and SHintaro followed. "Tsu-chan! You're okay!" she said as she ra up the staris.

Kido got up from her position and ran towards Ayano who had already reached to top. "Onee-chan!" she said happily as she gave Ayano a warm hug. "I missed you so much."

Ayano hugged Kido back with a smile. "I missed you too, Tsu-chan... and.. I know it's pretty late but, Happy Birthday!" she said.

Kido gave a warm laugh, tears still running down her eyes. "Thanks onee-chan!"

Ayano wiped the tears away from Kido's face. "There. There. Don't cry."

I've never felt this happy before.
