Hey again! I had some time today and I didn't have anything to do now. So, I disided to write a story. Hope you enjoy!
Natasha P.O.V.
I continued to listen as the ghost rattling off a list of crimes he wasn't guilty of - murder, theft and selling document under false evidence.
"I haven't give false witnesses against my neighbors. Um, sorry, I can't read the last line-" He say as the blue dude hissed, "Fish! Have you ever stolen any fish from the holy lakes?" He asked the ghost.
"I lived in Kansas," he replied. "So...no"
"Very well," my father say. "Let his heart be weighed." He say.
Anubis produced a linen parcel the size of a child's fist. "Dad, you mean his heart is still in there?" I ask my dad as he shrugged.
"Well, that's what's history says." He replied and I say, "I've got to pay more attention when teacher rambles on about history more." As my father shoved me slightly and I stick my tongue at him.
"Bring froth the Destroyer of Souls!" The blue dude say as a doggy door appear at the end of the room.
A animal ran into the room with excitement. The poor dear wasn't very coordinated. His miniature lion chest and forearms were sleek and agile, but his back half was a stubby and much-less-agile hippo bum. It kept sliding sideways, swerving into pillars and knocking over braziers. Each time he crashed, he shook it's lion's mane and crocodile snout and yipped happily.
He ran into Anubis, making him lose balance and fall to the ground. I can't stop myself giggling non stop.
"Hey there, buddy," Anubis say as he scratched his snout and the animal yipped happily. The blue dude glared at Anubis and say, "Don't play around with Ammit, boy." As Anubis rolled his eyes.
"Whatever, Disturber." He say as he let go of the animal, was his name really Disturber?
Anyway, Ammit was walking to my dad's throne when he noticed me. He ran towards me and jumped into my hands. "Hey there," I say as I patted his rough snout .
"Lady Tomson, would you mind letting go of the Destroyer of Souls." Disturber growled at me as Ammit growled even louder.
"Shh, relax there, Ammit." I say as Ammit glared at Disturder as he turned from blue to indigo.
Anyway, Anubis set the ghost's heart on one end of the scales of Justice. On the opposite scale,the Feather of Truth appear. I have read about the Feather of Truth when I was doing one of my book reports. It was very light and the slightest lie will turn who ever hold the Feather into ashes.
Anyway, the scales wavered. The two saucers stopped, just about even. The pinstriped ghost sobbed in relief and Ammit whimper disappointedly.
"Very impresses," dad say. "You have been found sufficiently virtuous, despite the fact you're a investment banker." My father say as the ghost smiled at him. "Thank you, my lord." He say.
"Red Cross donations, baby!" The ghost yelled afterwords.
"Uh, anyway," my dad say dryly. "You may enter the afterlife."
The ghost yelled in delight and ran towards a door yelling, "Freedom!" While the door closed behind him.
"Ok..." I say as my father shrugged at me. "The afterlife is like a paradise. I'm not surprised he was yelling 'Freedom.'" My dad say.
"ok, I have to go and find Ronin's soul now. Mind telling me where's Professor Bomba?" I say as Professor Bomba ran until the room, holding a new notebook.
"This is very interesting!" He say as he flipped throw the book and I rolled my eyes. "Never mind, I don't need my answer anymore." I say as I walked over to him and yanked on shirt towards my father's throne.
"You can ramble on later, come on, I have to know where Ronin is." I say as l let go of him in front of my father.
"Um dad, could you you help telling me is there a home for souls that are half dead in the mortal world? Like a rest home or something?" I ask as my father nodded. "Yes, there is a place called SunnyAcres in the Underworld. You have to cross the Duat, of course." My dad say as I nodded.
"Ok, minded telling me where is it?" I ask as my father smiled at me. "Well, you have to ride a river to get there. Why do you think Egypt have so many boats for?" My dad ask as I rolled my eyes at him. "Um, it's because they like making boats?" I ask sarcastically.
"You know what, just forget what I said about boats." My father said and I rolled my eyes. "Yeah sure, whatever. Now tell me how do I get there?" I say as my father search for something from his bag.
He took out two metal bracelets and a map or something. "You would need these to past the river." He handed me the things. He also grabbed three packs of supplies and handed them to me.
"Ok,minded me asking, who's the third one on the mission?" I say as I sling the other bag and handed one to Professor Bomba.
"Oh, the other person is Anubis." My dad say as Anubis looked up from playing with Ammit. "Say what?"
"Well, Anubis know the way better than you. And I also thought this will be good for him too. Besides, he needs to go out more." My dad complains and Anubis blushed lightly.
"Uh, sure I guess." He say as he walked to his room. After 5 minutes, he came back out with new clothes. He was wearing a Death Cab for Cutie T-shirt over a leather jacket and blue jeans with combat boots.
"Ok, if we're all set, let's get ready and jet." I say as I throw the extra bag towards Anubis.
"Not so fast. Ok, A. The map's for the river and B. The bracelets are for you." My dad say as I locked the chains on my wrist.
"Oh, wow, dad, uh thanks." I say as my father rolled my eyes at me. " I'm not done yet," he say I nodded. "Those are magical bracelets. They can change from bracelets to both a sword and shield." He say as I hit the bracelets.
On turned into a sword, half metal and half metallic gold. The shield was a ancient looking shield that was light enough to throw as I weapon. "Awesome. Not I can finally trick people." I say as my father raised his eyebrow.
"Hey, I haven't settle scores with bunch of people, ok?" I say as the sword and shield turned back into bracelets.
"Works for me." He say as he walked down from his throne. "But for now," he say as he rapped his arm around my shoulders. "Let's have some lunch." He say as he pulled me closer.
We ate some amazing lunch. Me and Anubis piled our plates and sit next to each other while laughing at each other.
After lunch, me and Anubis was on the deck while Professor Bomba was walking around the boat, envying everything in sight.
"So, uh, you're dad will be here to say goodbye. So, I'll go on board first." He say as walked onto the boat.
When Anubis walked onto the boat, my father walked up to me. "Natasha, I wanted to say sorry for all that has happen, you know. Not telling you the truth, not bothering to contact you and Nod." He say as I smiled at him.
"And I'm sorry for how I acted. I also wanted to really to ask how will I every see you again." I ask as he gave me a nickels. "Use this to bring Nod to the Underworld sometime. It would be nice to see him again. It works like the one I gave you when you were younger to return to Moonhaven." He say as I placed the nickels on my neck.
"Thanks, dad." I say as I hugged him tightly. He chuckled warmly and hugged back. "Good luck." He say as he walked me to the boat.
"Bye, dad." I say as he waved at me and whispered to Anubis something in the ear and he nodded.
"Bye, sweetheart. I'll hope I will see you soon." He say as he kissed my forehead.
As the boat leave the deck, I waved at my dad for the last time. He waved until he was a small blurry figure and faded behind us. As the lava river flow below our boat, I leaned on the railing of the boat.
I hope I will save Ronin before it's to late.
