Chapter 22 - Car Crashes & Premature Babies
Kim's POV - Wednesday 14th January
"Kid's come on, hurry up your gonna be late!" I yelled up the stairs to the kids who then ran downstairs,
"Who's taking us to school?" JD asked me biting into his apple,
"Your dad, so hurry up," I said as I sat down on the sofa, today I am having a lazy day, well a lazy day looking after Gabe & Olivia, who Jack is taking to Balet at 12,
Julie's POV - 7:30
"Right, Wyatt, come on, I need you to drop Millie off at Eddie's, he's gonna take her to school, and I need you to drop Georgie of at the dojo, Jack is gonna take her to school," I said giving the girls their lunches,
"Why cant dad?" He asked,
"Because, I need the car today so your dad got a ride to work early," I said and he nodded giving me a kiss on the cheek and walking out with the girls and I quickly grabbed the car keys and my phone and everything I needed, making sure to lock up the house before I got into my car just as my phone rang, "Hello?" I asked as I began to drive,
"Hey it's Zsa Zsa," I heard my cousin say,
"Hey Zsa, I cant talk right now, I'm driving can I call you back in an hour?" I asked,
"Sure no worries, be careful, bye," She said and I quickly said bye before hanging up, I sighed as I stopped at a red light, I waited a few moments before the light turned green, when I began driving again, but all of a sudden I heard a horn go of and I turned to my right and saw a car coming my way, before I had time to react the car crashed into me.
Milton's POV
I was at work working on some papers when my phone started ringing and I answered,
"Hello?" I asked,
"Is this Milton Krupnick," An unknown voice said,
"This is he," I said,
"This is Deborah Parkinson from Seaford General Hospital, Im afraid I have some bad news, is your wife Julie Krupnick?" She said and my heart stopped,
"Yes is she okay, is our babies okay?" I said panicked,
"Your wife has been involved in a car crash and she's in surgury, your gonna need to come down to the hospital," She said,
"I'm on my way!" I said before hanging up and hurrying out of work to my car,
Kim's POV
I was sat watching tv when my phone started ringing and I answered, seeing it was Grace
"Hey, whats up?" I asked her calmly,
"Kim! You've got to get to the hospital now!" She exclaimed,
"What why? Whats happened!" I said worryingly,
"Its Julie, she's been in a car crash," She said.
"I dont have the cars JAck & troy do!" I exclaimed,
"Okay! I'm on my way for you, hurry up and get ready," She said and hung up, and I quickly dialled my 20yr old sister Mia's phone and asked her to babysit Olivia & Gabe which she said yes to and came round with her 2yr old son Tyler just as Grace arrived and I hurriedly got into the car and she sped to the hospital,
Poppy's POV - 1 hour later
All of us were at the hospital, Milton had Jerry pick Wyatt, Millie & Georgie up from school and there sat panicking on the hospital chairs, all of us are just sat here waiting, when for all we know Julie & the babies are dying,
"Excuse me! I need to know if my wife & Kids are okay!" Milton said to a nurse that walked by,
"Mr Krupnick," Julie's doctor said coming out of the surgury room, and we all stood up as Milton hurried over to him,
"Is Julie okay, are the babies?" He asked panicked,
"Mr Krupnick Calm down, Julie had some internal bleeding from the crash, so I had to operate and open her stomach to stop the bleeding, and doing so I had to do a c section to deliver the babies before any damage could come to them, your children are fine there in incubators, due to being 2 months premature, just to be safe, we're keeping them in incubators for the next 4 hours," He explained,
"What about Julie?" Milton asked,
"I've stitched her up, she's completely fine dont worry, she's got a few cuts & bruises but nothing that wont heel over time, but I do suggest no letting her do as much as normal, she needs to be on bed rest as much as possible for the next two weeks, she's sleeping now, but she should wake up soon, but I suggest waiting till she's awake to see her, if you like I could get the nurse to take you to see the babies," He said and Milton nodded and walked out with Wyatt, Millie, Georgie and the nurse,
"Thats a relief," Kelsey said and we nodded,
"You okay?" Niall said to me wrapping an arm around my shoulder,
"Yeah, I'm fine, just this baby keeps kicking me in the ribs," I said and he chuckled,
"Gonna be a footballer that baby," He said resting a hand on my stomach, "Arnt you, your gonna be a footballer right, just like daddy," He said talking to my bumb and I chuckled,
"So, how did you think of the names Dovelyn & Mason?" Mum asked us as everyone's attention was on us,
"Well, Niall's grandfather was called Mason," I said as Niall nodded,
"And we chose Dovelyn, because of the nickname Dove, and Doves are a symbol of love." Niall said as he held my hand on my small baby bumb,,
"As this baby was made with love," I finished and he nodded,
"Awe, thats cute," Kelsey said and I smiled as Niall kissed my bumb, and bumb reacted by kicking where he kissed and I chuckled,
"What do you think it is?" Kim asked,
"I think it's girl," Niall said,
"Really, I think its a boy, expecially with these kicks," I said,
"Well if its a girl, I say she's gonna take after uncle Jack & Grandpa Rudy and do karate." Niall said and I chuckled.
Julie's POV - 5 Hours Later
I woke up to a beeping noise and looked to my right to see a heart monitor machine, and I turned my head trying to sit up,
"Wow, easy, easy," Milton said as I saw him sat down in a chair next to me and the kids all sat on the sofa behind him,
"What happened?" I asked.
"You were in a car accident, and the doctors had to operate," He said holding my hand,
"The babies, what about our babies?" I asked,
"There right next to you," He said refering to the other side of my bed and I turned my head and saw baby holders and I smiled, "Do you wanna hold them?" He asked and I nodded as he helped me sit up without being in pain, and he gently handed me the babies one at a time, I had the boy on my right & the girl on my left, "We still need to decide on names," Milton said,
"I like the ones the kids suggested," I said and he nodded,
"Wyatt, Millie, Georgie, come meet your brother & Sister," He said and they walked over and sorrounded me by the head of the bed,
"This is your sister, Eliza Mae Krupnick, and your brother Lewis Steven Krupnick," I said and they smiled and Milton kissed my forehead as I looked at our little babies,
Yay! So I finally decided on names, Eliza & Lewis, you like? I was gonna have Elizabeth & Elliot, but I decided to go with these two instead, anyway, Next birth is Kim, but I still haven't decided about a gender or a name, but I know for a fact when Kim's gonna give birth, anyway, hope you liked it!
