She felt a warm and fuzzy feeling building up in the pit of her stomach. It was strange and new but she liked it. She opened her eyes and looked at him as he pulled back a bit and smiled at her. She didn't really know what to say, she was still processing the fact that they had shared a kiss. He unbuckled his seat belt and got out the car. He opened the door for her and helped her out. "I'll walk you to the door."

Penelope walked besides him quietly. As they got to her apartment door she reached for her keys. They got to her door and she looked over at him, offering him a small smile before focusing on finding the right key to open the door. Once she found it and opened the door, she turned to him, "Thank you for walking me." He nodded and leaned in and pressed a kiss on her forehead. "Good night, Garcia" He smiled before turning and walking down the hall and out of sight.

The tv was on in the background as she sat on the edge of her bed getting into her pajamas.

'Good night, Garcia.' Replayed in her head. He went from 'Babygirl', to kiss on the lips, and back to 'Garcia.' She wasn't sure what to think. Maybe it was just a friendly kiss.. On the lips.. She shook her head and sighed. She felt like a high school girl who had been kissed by her crush and was now waiting for him to call her. She reached for the remote control and turned of the tv. She got up and turned of the lamp on the nightstand before turning off the light. She slipped back into bed and stared up at the ceiling soon drifting off.

The next morning, she woke up to the sun shining through a peek in the curtains. She turned her back to the window and closed her eyes again. She was still a little tired but was unable to fall back asleep. Instead she got up and got dressed into something she'd usually wear on a lazy day. She went into the bathroom, pulled her hair up into something similar to but not quite a bun, brushed her hair, and put on a little make up. She felt weird without her makeup, even if she had no plans, she liked wearing a little make up.

She got to the living room and picked up a few things. It had been a while since she actually had taken the time to thoroughly clean the apartment. She began in the living room, went back to the room, and ended up in the kitchen. It didn't take her too long, it was still morning when she finished. She decided on getting herself a cup of juice. As she poured the orange juice into her glass she heard a knock at the door. She looked up and over toward the door. Her brows furrowed as she set the carton down and made her way across the living room and over to the door.

To her surprise she found JJ standing in the hallway. "JJ?" She raised a brow as she quickly looked to the sides to see if anyone else had joined her. "What are you doing here?" She looked back at the smaller blonde standing in front of her. She shook her head and stepped aside, "Come in."

JJ smiled and stepped inside. "Thank you." She turned and waited for Penelope to have closed the door. "I figured I'd stop by for a little.. Oh! And I've got donuts.." She smiled a little more as she held up a small box to show Penelope before walking over to the kitchen and setting it down on the table.

Penelope walked over to the breakfast bar to where she had left her orange juice. "Orange juice?" She looked back at JJ as she raised the carton. JJ looked over and nodded with a smile. Penelope opened the cabinet to pull out another glass for her. She poured some juice into it then returned to the table with both glasses, setting one in front of JJ. She pulled out the chair across from her and sat down. JJ opened the box and grabbed a donut before pushing the box back to the center. She watched Penelope take one as she took a bite from her donut.

''He kissed you?! Like on the lips?" JJ raised brow as she reached for her glass and took a sip. She chuckled softly as she set the glass back down on the table. "I was starting to think he'd never make his move..'' She looked back up at Penelope playfully rolling her eyes. "I just didn't think he would in this.. situation." Penelope's brows furrowed as she looked at the woman in confusion. She noticed the confused expression plastered on her friend's face. "Everyone knows you guys have always been more than friends, not a couple but pretty close to one."

Penelope's facial expression softened up a bit. She knew they had more than the you're average and that they were really playful but she never thought that the team had seen it that way. She smiled, mostly to herself as she took a small bite from her donut. She still didn't know what to make out of it. They were just friends. Nothing else. Part of her didn't mind being more than just friends but the other part feared how things would end if they didn't work out. She considered him to be her best friend. What would she do without her best friend.

JJ watched as her friend's brows furrowed in concentration. She wondered what she was thinking about. She decided to remain quiet and simply wait for Penelope to be finished. Remembering she had company, she snapped out of her thoughts and turned to JJ.

About an hour later, Penelope was standing by the door saying her goodbyes with JJ. Once the woman left, she closed the door and locked it. She made her way over to the couch and flopped onto it. She looked up at the ceiling for a little before closing her eyes. In a matter of minutes she was asleep.

The sound of a text coming through made her stir a bit. She shifted and stretched and slowly sat up as she looked around for her phone. It rang again and she stilled her movement to try to hear where it was coming from. She got up and walked over to the counter and grabbed it. Derek.

She unlocked her phone and checked the message.

'Hey, can we talk later?'

she didn't know why she felt nervous or awkward. She assumed it was about the kiss from last night that he wanted to talk.

'Of course.'

She made her way back to the couch and set the phone down on the coffee table and reached for the tv remote. She flipped through the channels trying to find something to keep her entertained. She stopped on a movie and her phone rang again.

'I'll come by around 7.'

She locked her phone and set it back down as she continued watching the movie.
