Alright let's get those four down. I shuffled my way over to the four.
"Evening, we are here to….rescue you." I said. They just stared, so I got on with it. I started with Scootaloos' chains. For chains they came off rather easily, thank goodness too. Sweetiebelle was next, then Applebloom, and last but not least AppleJac- oh shi!
After I let AJ out of her chains she didn't drop to the ground. She dropped onto me…in a very untrusting way. By untrusting I mean she had her hooves on my neck without means of letting me go.
"Sis! What are ya doing?" I heard Applebloom shout.
"Y'all saw what he did to that other me, and the Princess!" AJ Replied, tightening her grip on my throat-..wait I'm still not understanding this "grip" thing…but no matter…more pressing matters at hand…er hooves.
"Gah! Those…weren't the right ones!" I tried to say.
"What do yah mean those weren't the right ones?!" She asked, demanding an answer.
"Don't ask ….me! I'm as lost…as you are!" I replied. She reluctantly released me but kept me pinned down. "If I was with them do you honestly think I would do the things I just did to not only save you, but to also get rid of them?"
"..Ah…ah reckon that's true." She said, letting up a little.
"*cough..* is everyone ok?" I asked. Surprisingly the three fillies replied with a high pitched yes unfazed by the actions that just took place. "And you AJ?"
"Ah reckon I'm just fine now. Is everything we just witnessed done right? Right." AJ asked.
"I sure hope so…it looks like it though." I replied. "Now please…please…please! Can we get out of here?"
AJ hopped off of me and helped me up. "You betcha bob!" She responded.
She made her way for the hallway with the other three that led to the door….that was locked…just great…
I hung back and checked on Prince and Thrash. Prince seemed ok, a few more cuts but not much else…then over to Thrash who was coming down from his adrenaline run. I kneeled down to him, providing him with some much need stabilization.
"Alright, easy does it. You feeling ok?" I asked.
"No, not really that damn shot you gave me is wearin' off." He replied
"Need some help?" I asked.
"Yes please just please…no more shots." He said.
"Hahaha of course, no needles, I promise." I laughed, standing up woah…jeez, my backpack got a lot heavier…oh hey…I still have my backpack on. "Now come on Thrash, I'm about done with this place, aren't you?"
"Yah, Ah am…hey that AJ gal…yah think she's got a special somepony?" He asked.
"I don't rightfully know but…you could always ask." I chuckled. "First…let's just leave."
"Right." He replied. I watched as he began to stumble forward. Oh yeah, the wounds are hitting him bad…
How about we worry about that later yeah? I too started to follow AJ with Prince and Thrash to my side, one heck of a team I'd say.
"Wait AJ, the door is sealed tig-" I began, and before I could finish AppleJack had the door open in no time. Well, it seems apple farming has its perks, especially if the only way to get the apples off of a tree is to buck them with your legs and do I really need to explain all of this? No? Good.
I was expecting the sun's rays to burst through the opening but guess not, it was the moon that greeted us.
"How long have we been in there?" I asked, stepping out with everypony beside me except for…sweetiebelle.
"From what it looks like, it's been a while." Said a voice directly behind me.
"What the f-!" I twisted my head around to see lil Sweetiebelle half-way hanging out of my backpack.
"What? You're always carrying this thing around; I wanted to see what's inside." She squeaked. How could I say no?
I exhaled slowly to calm down. "Sure, just don't look too much ok?"
"Ok!" She replied, diving back in. What a silly little filly, (huzzah for rhyming!)
"So, would we like to tell everypony else what happened here?" I asked.
"Well, ah don't know bout y'all but ah am definitely tellin' Twilight bout all of this." AJ said.
"I should report this to the princesses." I replied. "First, I have to get these two treated medically."
"And what about yerself?" AJ insisted.
"I'm fine." I lied "Or, I will be."
"Are yah sure sugar cube?" AJ asked.
"Yea, you don't look so good." Sweetiebelle piped in.
"Yes, yes, I'm sure. Thank you though." I continued.
"No thank you! If it weren't for you guys we would be dead! Or worse!" Scootaloo said.
"I'm just glad you are all ok." I said back. "It is surprising that none of you are the least bit shocked about what went down in there."
"Well, we just blow it off" Applebloom said.
"You make it sound so easy." Prince said.
"Kind of is for us." Sweetiebelle responded.
We continued to make our way to Twilight's place, the library thingy mcbobber. It was a pretty cold night, the moon shined high above, more welcoming than the sun.
*Knock knock knock*…*knock knock knock*. Please Twilight wake up. The door opened with a slight creak to reveal a very drowsy Spike rubbing his eye.
"What are you guys doing at a time like this?" Spike asked, yawning.
"We'll explain when we get everypony here; can you go and wake up Twilight?" Aj asked.
"Sure." Spike replied, going back upstairs. We then heard a hushed conversation begin and end with a yawning Twilight stepping down the stairs.
"What in Equestria is going on? AppleJack where have you been? Are you ok?" Twilight began firing off questions left and right until AJ hushed her.
"Ah am just fine Twilight, but we'll all explain when everyone is here if y'all could round them all up." AJ replied.
"Of course. Spike, make a letter and send it to all of our friends." Twilight ordered. "Tell them to meet here as quick as possible."
"Got it!" Spike said. Like damn, that lil dude had the letter written before she even finished. Crazy writing skills I tell ya. With a mighty huff Spike puffed the note into a small cloud of green sparkly dust that split into 4 streams and departed out the window. In just a few minutes there was a rapid knock on the door. As Spike went to open it the door flung open, sandwiching Spike between the door and wall.
"Sweetiebelle!" Rarity shouted in delight. Sweetiebelle jumped out of my backpack and they both ran towards each other. They embraced one another in a hug that seemed as if they might not have seen each other ever again. Such a great feeling…to know that you brought family back together. To let them know that their sister will be there when they wake up tomorrow…crap…I'm starting to miss my family more and more every day…but I'll go home someday soon. For now though I have to make sure everyone or crap…I keep making that mistake, I mean everypony, to make sure everypony can wake up tomorrow and not worry about what evil is to come but to worry about if they are going to be late for work.
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy arrived quickly after Rarity but Pinkie was nowhere to be fou- oh wait never mind she just climbed in through the window. Yep that's Pinkie alright. I then saw everypony crowd around AJ and the three fillies. Rainbow had picked up Scootaloo in a big bear hug and the others were asking AJ what happened.
"Ah had better let Scotty explain what all happened." She said pointing to me with her hoof.
"First, Twilight, can you please see to Prince's and Thrash's wounds?" I asked.
"Of course, I have some books on healing somewhere in here." She started flipping through random books and I made sure to begin explaining what just went down in there. The story was followed by gasps, shudders, but their eyes always kept the same gaze…..fear. Halfway through my epic story telling Twilight had found a book about medical stuff and began to work away with spells and shiz.
"That's it…I hope…after the bright explosion they were gone." I finished.
"I'm just happy to see my Sweetiebelle home safely. Thank you so so much!" Rarity said. She attempted to basically tackle hug me but she ended up hugging my waist and barely moving me, ahh~ the perks of being tall.
"My pleasure, really. I would not stand idly while your friends, your sister, were in trouble." I stated.
"Ahem, we're your friends too. All of us." AJ replied, and that hit me…hard. Coming to this world…accident or not, you wouldn't expect magical ponies to so quickly call you a friend. I mean sure in most of the fanfics that I read they trust so easily…but this…this is real life. (Well technically- hey! Shut it! No breaking the 4th wall, that's Pinkie's job.) Anyway, it felt good and it just drove me to my cause more and more. Now, to begin preparing to meet the Rulers of Equestria.
"So I had a plan to meet with Celestia and Luna to discuss what to do about the situations that took place. Possibly heighten security, expect another attack if somehow they come back." I said. Everypony nodded their head giving me a sign that they all agreed except for Thrash.
"You can sure as hay count me out bucko, ah ain't fixin to go to a place full of richy, uppity, pony folk." Thrash chipped in.
"That's ok Thrash." I chuckled. "I'm not gonna drag you to Canterlot with me, it actually may be a good idea to go alone."
"But what if they do come back? You know….them" Twilight added.
"Perfect, then there will only be me for them to face and I won't put anypony else in harm's way." I said in a bit of a snappy tone. It was rather mean but it was more forced towards myself.
"I don't want anypony else to get hurt because of me." I confessed.
"Aw sugar cube, you know all of this isn't your fault." AJ replied.
"Yea! You just happened to fall through a hole after exploring a tunnel system in the woods in your backyard." Pinkie said.
"How did you know that…?" I asked. Crap, I broke the #1 rule…don't question Pinkie Pie.
"Just a guess." She replied. I squinted my eyes at her jokingly, I'm onto you Pink pony. I then just realized something…how am I going to get onto a train to go to Canterlot if I don't have any money? Or…bits?
"Erm, I kinda feel bad for asking but does anypony have any b-" I was cut off short bye Twilight.
"The princess has given you free passage due to it being a fairly high level of interest." Twilight said.
"High level of interest?' I asked.
"Meaning that the princess knows you have important information so you should be brought to her immediately, so train tickets are of no need." Twilight Replied.
"Oh! Well that works perfectly. There is no time to waste, I will make my way to the train station. Thank you Twilight for watching after these two hooligans." I said jokingly.
"Hey!" Thrash said, and Prince just chuckled at Thrash's remark.
"haha, stay out of trouble you two." I made my way for the door but was stopped by a tug on my jeans.
"Before you go sugar cube, here, take these with you." Aj said, handing me a small bag. I opened it up to see, count it 3, red apples gleaming from inside. "The journey will be long so these'll tide you over."
"Thank you kindly AppleJack." I replied.
"No. Thank you." She said back simply. Exverypony stood and looked at me with a smile. I simply returned the warm gesture and headed out the doo- thwack!
…..Stupid low hanging F# king door frames! Huff. I ducked under the door rubbing my head and trying to wave goodbye with my hand that was holding the bag of apples. It didn't take long for me to make my way to the train station. As I approached the conductor or somepony who yells "all aboard" saw me and knew at that moment that I could just get on freely.
This time I remembered to duck to get in and I chose my seat. There were not many others taking a midnight train going anywhere. There were one or two but they were fast asleep. The only company I had with me on this lonesome rail was the moon high above. Funny…in the human world I would always look up at the moon in the night sky and thank Luna for gracing me with it (no seriously, this is legit, not lying, promise.) Cool, now I get to thank her in person
