PERCY'S P.O.V

I knocked on the door impatiently. It didn't open.

I sighed and leaned against the doorframe, fidgeting nervously with my tie.

The door opened, "Hi," I heard Annabeth say. I looked up and exhaled sharply.

She was wearing a beautiful short cocktail evening dress.

The bodice was made up of sequins and the bottom was made up of layers of chiffons that stopped just above her knees.

Her silky blonde hair rested on her shoulders, and a pair of drop earrings hung from her ears.

I smiled at her. "You look beautiful," I whispered in her ear.

Her already rosy cheeks turned even redder.

"So do you," I held out my arm, "Will you allow me to escort you to the dance m'lady?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Whatever will I do with you Percy."

I grinned cheekily. "Please, I insist." She shook her head, but slipped her arm through mine.

"Well then let's go, don't want to be late." I smirked, "Of course."

THALIA'S P.O.V

I sat on my chair, and watched the others get dressed as I waited for Luke.

Annabeth had already left, and everyone else was making last-minute touch ups.

Piper came over to me, with a stern look on her face.

She was wearing a simple fuchsia dress that was just above her knees, a see-through material covered her shoulders and back.

She had curled her chocolate hair into elaborate curls and was wearing a pair of silver studs.

"Thalia take that ugly thing off." She scolded. I frowned.

"Excuse me?" She lifted her chin. "You are not going to wear that leather jacket."

I sighed. "I can do whatever I want, thank you very much."

"Please take it off Thalia," pleaded Piper, "It ruins your whole look."

I tried to ignore her, but that's kind of hard to do with her wailing right into my ear.

I sighed in frustration. "Okay, I'll take it off, just shut up."

Piper beamed happily. "Good, you look so much better without it on."

"Yeah, and I also feel so much colder!"

Piper ignored me and paced the room nervously.

"Het Thals, you're date's here." Said Lou Ellen from the doorway.

I got up and looked in the mirror one last time. I had on a strapless black cock-tail dress.

A silk ribbon hung from the bodice, which was black with glittering patterns on top.

The bottom was made up of layers of ruffled chiffon, that stuck out unevenly.

It gave the dress a rustic feel. To complete the look, I had curled my hair into glossy waves and applied blush and mascara to give a smoky eyes effect.

"Have fun," said Lou Ellen smirking. I stepped out into the hallway, right into Luke.

Talk about clumsy. "Whoops, sorry." I said, brushing my hair out of my face.

Luke grinned nervously. He was wearing suit pants, with a vest worn over a white silk shirt.

Despite his formal look, his hair was still rumpled, and he still had that playful smirk on his face.

He mumbled something too quiet to hear. I raised an eyebrow.

"Uh, I'm sorry but what did you just say?" He scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Uh, you look beautiful." I blushed and for some reason this compliment made my stomach flip,

a few weeks ago I wouldn't have cared about one word he said.

Oh god, I wasn't starting to like him was I? He smiled warmly and wrapped an arm around my waist, it felt oddly comforting.

"Nervous?" he asked, looking ahead. I snorted. "Nervous? Me? Please, I am never nervous.

And I mean it. I mean why would I be nervous in fact I am the opposite of nervous…"

Was I rambling? Probably.

"…I am very happy. But to be honest dances aren't really my thing you know,

I prefer parties. But sill the dance might be interesting, who knows. I wonder if it will just be a dance,

I mean what kind of dance will it be?"

and that's when he kissed me. It was gentle yet passionate.

He pulled away. I stared at him wide-eyed, mouth hanging open.

"Sorry," he said "but you talk too much."

PIPER'S P.O.V

I checked the clock again for what seemed like the millionth time and groaned.

Lou Ellen rolled her eyes. "Chill, would you?" "But it's just not like him to be late." I groaned.

Just then there was a knock on the door. I sighed. Probably Connor or Katie's mystery guy.

"Piper," called Lou from the doorway.

I brightened immediately and walked hurriedly to the doorway.

Lou Ellen was shaking her head talking to someone. "Thank goodness you're here. She wouldn't stop complaining."

Then she turned to smile at me. "Your date is here Piper."

I smiled back at her and took a deep breath.

Lou Ellen opened the door fully. Jason smiled at me. He was wearing a dark blue tux that brought out his eyes,

his blonde hair cut into a neat military style complimented his formal look.

I gave him a questioning look. "What happened, why were you late?"

He rolled his eyes. "Connor had hidden my jacket. I couldn't find it."

I shook my head, "At a time like this?" He shrugged, "Who knows about him?" I shrugged,

"Oh well, at least you made it. And that's what counts."

Jason leaned in and brushed a stray hair off my face. "I wouldn't miss this for the world."

CONNOR'S P.O.V.

I walked over briskly to Lou Ellen's dorm room, and exhaled nervously. I was wearing a grey vest over a white shirt with matching grey pants.

The same outfit as my brother. I grinned; he still didn't know who his mystery date was.

I hesitated a second before knocking on the door. I heard someone grumble and then the door opened.

Lou Ellen stared at me with a surprised look on her face which changed to a scowl when she saw me.

She was wearing a halter party dress that hugged her curves.

The dress was backless with layers of chiffon making up the bottom and a rhinestone buckle adorned the waist.

Her straight black hair was open and her purple and silver eye shadow gave her a mystic look.

"You're a bit early aren't you?" she said sarcastically.

I chose to ignore her and wrapped an arm around her waist. "Is all this for me?" I asked her innocently.

She sighed. "You're impossible you know that right?" I chuckled.

"I knew you couldn't resist me." She turned around and smiled at me mockingly.

"Sure, whatever you say."

KATIE'S P.O.V

I sat on my bed, waiting for my mystery date to show up. So far on a scale of 1-10, I'd be giving him a zero.

I sighed and stared at myself in front of the mirror. My brown hair had been curled intricately and flowed down my back in waves.

I had applied mascara that made my green eyes pop, and blush to define my cheekbones.

As for the dress, it was a light sky blue with a striped blue and black bodice.

A rhinestone sat in the middle of the bodice and a clump of blue and silver flowers were scattered bellow my chest.

The bottom layer of the dress was ruffled black tulle that peeked out from beneath the sky blue fabric.

I heard a knock at the door and stomped over angrily. Half-an hour late.

I swung open the door and came face to face with…Travis Stoll.

We both stood there staring at each other for a few seconds, and then, I slammed the door on his face.

I heard him grumbling on the other side; I groaned and buried my face in my hands. Why did I ever trust that no good idiot.

I should've known something like this was going to happen. I took a deep breath and slowly opened the door.

All I had to do was ignore him, and I'd be able to get through this night. Easier said than done.

Travis looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "God, Gardner I don't look that bad."

"You knew about this." I screamed. He stared at me in dis-belief. "I did not, you think I would've agreed to this if I had?" he sputtered.

"How am I supposed to know what goes on in that messed up brain of yours," I mumbled under my breath.

He looked up to the ceiling as if saying 'why me'.

I crossed my arms over my chest and pursed my lips together tightly.

He ignored me and started walking over to the hall where the dance was being held.

I stared open-mouthed at his back. "Hey, Travis." I yelled at him.

He turned around and scowled. "What?"

"I'd appreciate it if you waited, it's not easy walking in these," I said gesturing towards my heels.

He shrugged, and turned around. Jerk.
