ANNABETH'S P.O.V

I dragged Percy of the dance floor, my cheeks flushed from the heat.

He raised his eyebrows. "What happened? I'm not good enough at dancing?" he asked smiling.

I rolled my eyes. "It's getting a bit hot in here."

I fanned my face with my hand. "Let's go to the balcony." Percy nodded.

"Okay, I'll just go get us some drinks." I smiled gratefully. "Thanks."

I stepped out onto the balcony, the cold wind felt good on my skin. I looked up at the sky and gasped in awe.

The dark night was scattered with millions of twinkling stars, and a bright full moon lit up the night.

Percy joined me and slid an arm around my waist. He handed me a drink.

I smiled at him and took it. "Percy," I said, putting down the drink, he put down his as well.

"Hmm?" I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Thanks for making this night wonderful."

Percy smiled and leaned down. "Anything for you wise-girl."

He said, before kissing me. I pressed even closer to him until there was no space between us.

My hands tangled through his hair and his slid to the small of my back, pressing me even closer to him, if that was possible.

For some reason he smelled just like the ocean, which was surprisingly comforting.

I pulled away from him and smiled. "I love you sea-weed brain."

Percy cupped my face in his hands. "And I will always love you Wise-girl."

THALIA'S P.O.V

Luke and I walked down the deserted beach, holding hands.

It felt nice to be spending time with each other without any fighting or yelling, even if it was just acting.

I sighed and stopped; Luke looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Let's sit down for a while, my feet hurt." I moaned.

Luke chuckled, but sat down next to me on the sand. I leaned against him, and sighed. "What's wrong?" he asked softly.

I grabbed a rock and threw it into the waves. "Have you ever thought that doing something wrong could feel so right?"

I turned to look at him. He stared at me thoughtfully, before looking away.

"Yes," "Luke?" he turned and faced me, then sighed. "Why are you asking?"

I shrugged, "No reason." He raised an eyebrow, but didn't ask me any questions.

I bit my lip, and gulped. "Luke?" "Hmm?" "Do you…?" I hesitated. "Do I what?" asked Luke, staring out at the ocean.

"Do you like me?" I said, before I could back out. Luke wrapped an arm around me, and gave me a small smile. "Yeah,"

I noticed that his voice wavered, but didn't give it much thought.

Then he pressed his lips to mine. I pressed myself against him, not wanting this moment to end.

One of his hands cupped my cheek gently, and the other travelled down to my leg.

I pushed him away, feeling guilty. I couldn't do this anymore.

Luke gave me a strange look. "Thalia?" I held up a hand to stop him. He shut his mouth.

"Luke I'm sorry." He raised an eyebrow. "About what?" "About this."

I said gesturing towards both of us. He stared at me blankly. I took a deep breath. "I…Me and you…there is no me and you."

I said my voice growing louder on each word.

"This was all an act…a show, I'm sorry but I can't do this anymore."

I saw the confused look on Luke's face and stopped. "Luke?" "What do you mean an act?" he asked slowly.

I gave him a pleading look. "Luke, please. Just let me explain."

"Just answer the question Thalia." He said coldly. "This relationship, it was fake." I whispered.

I turned to look at Luke, expecting to see a hurt expression on his face, but his face was blank.

"Okay," said Luke, shrugging. I gave him a confused look.

He looked at me and smirked. "Looks like we were set up."

I raised an eyebrow. "Percy dared me to go out with you," he laughed bitterly. "I can't believe they actually pranked me."

"You mean," I gasped, as the realized what had happened. So this was all fake, Luke really didn't like me.

For some reason this thought made me want to scream in paint, but obviously I didn't.

Luke got up. "Well, might as well go back to our dorms right?"

I stood up and brushed the sand off my dress, and nodded. We walked the rest of the way in uncomfortable silence.

I wrapped my arms around myself wishing Luke's arm was wrapped around me.

PIPER'S P.O.V

I laughed as Jason twirled me around.

"Somebody's enjoying themselves." I heard a familiar voice say.

I gasped and turned around to see Aphrodite watching us with a smile on her face.

I groaned inwardly. "Hi mom." I said, smiling forcefully. She raised an eyebrow.

"I thought you said he wasn't your boyfriend Piper." Before I could come up with an excuse Jason spoke up.

"Piper didn't want to tell you, because she didn't want you to make a big deal out of it." Said Jason.

I glared at him, but he wasn't looking at me. "Is that right?" said Aphrodite, not at all angry, in fact she was smiling.

I looked up at her and shrugged apologetically. Aphrodite smiled. "It's okay Piper, I understand."

I bit my lip. "I'm still a bit hurt you didn't tell me." Said Aphrodite.

"But I'm glad you've got such a wonderful, caring boyfriend."

She gave me a dazzling smile, before disappearing into the crowd.

I turned to Jason. "Thanks." Jason just smiled. "Anything for you Beauty Queen."
