Chapter 20
THIS IS THE FINAL CHAPTER OF SAKURA'S HEART AND ITS GOING TO BE LIKE AN EPILOGUE. JUST A QUICK THANKS TO ALL MY REVIEWERS AND TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK THEIR TIME TO READ THIS STORY.I KNOW THAT I DIDN'T STICK TO MY UPLOAD SCHEDULE BUT THINGS HAPPEN IN LIFE SO THANKS FOR STICKING ME WITH ALL THIS TIME!
"SAKURA CHAN!" Sakura turned around and looked at the blonde running towards her.
"Yamanaka-san, morning" Ino stopped right in front of her and full on glared at her. Sakura's sweat dropped as she took a step back.
"What did you call me?..."
"Ino…chan?" Ino retreated and her face turned all innocent.
"That's better" Sakura smiled and they both started walking.
"What's wrong?" asked Sakura. She knew that Ino had a reason to find her. Ino's eyes suddenly turned into hearts and she started shining…very brightly. Sakura's eyes were squinting because of the light.
"I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED SAKURA CHAN!" Sakura laughed hesitantly. When Ino had calmed down, they sat down at the bench at the park that they had just arrived at.
"Sakura chan… Shika-kun…HE PROPOSED!" Sakura's eyes widened and she smiled the biggest s smile he has smiled in a long time.
"Ino chan! Congratulations!" Ino jumped onto her as she started spazzing. Sakura's hands hesitantly hovered about Ino's back. But she sighed out a sigh of relief and hugged her back. I'm getting better.
5 years had passed since Sasuke and Sakura returned. There were many tears, apologizes and hugging. But everything turned our right in the end. Sakura's emotions had returned to her, well most of them. The light had started returning to her eyes. She was still very mature and merciless on missions. But her kindness had grown and her beauty even more. She and Sasuke were still dating while all her other friends were getting engaged. She knew that she didn't expect anything but she just couldn't help but wonder when Sasuke was going to ask her.
"…and I was thinking… Sakura chan…" Sakura's mind returned back to reality as she heard her name.
"Sorry I wasn't listening…"
"You WHAT!? I'M HERE TELLING YOU ABOUT OUR WEDDING AND HOW YOU'RE GOING TO BE A MY MAID OF HONOUR AND YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!" Sakura sighed and apologized. In an instant she was being dragged off to the wedding shops and she found herself surrounded by dresses. It has been a long time since she had worn a proper dress. She smiled at the excited Ino. She looked out the window and spotted her boyfriend. Ino noticed her look and saw Sasuke. She smiled devilishly and said
"Sakura chan you can go to McHottie now". She winked as Sakura rolled her eyes with a blush evident on her cheeks.
"See you later Ino…" Sakura walked to the other side of the street and she was surprised when she noticed that Sasuke was standing outside a jewellery store…a pretty expensive jewellery store.
"Sasuke?" she called. When she did, Sasuke jumped. He literally jumped and he turned around in a rush with pink on his cheeks.
"S-Sakura? When did you get here?" Sakura just blinked.
"I was in the wedding dress shop with Ino just then and then I saw you. What are you doing?" Sasuke released a small hiccup which surprised Sakura. Sasuke gave a shaky smile and she could see the sweat forming on his brow. She wanted to ask him but she didn't want to be nosy so she left it. She felt Sasuke take her hand and he led her off. She looked back at the shop and her eyes widened. It was the shop which sold the most beautiful engagement rings. She looked at the back of Sasuke's head. He couldn't be… She shook her head, she didn't want to give herself her hope. But in the back of mind oh how she wished. Sasuke and Sakura spent the rest of the day just hanging out and laughing. Sasuke took her back to house and then he went back to his place.
*With Sasuke
Sasuke went to his room and he slid down the door. I can't believe she saw me…I wonder if she knows?... He reached into his pocket and took out a velvet box and opened it. It was a beautiful ring with an emerald stone that shone in the dark. It had two more diamonds on each side of it. . He closed the box as well as his eyes. I need to ask her soon…
*With Sakura
When Sakura was in bed, her heart was still pumping. She was still thinking about the incident today. She was very curious on why he was there. She wished that if was because what she thought it was. But she didn't want to be disappointed again. She felt her phone vibrate. She slowly got up and checked the message. She smiled at the message. It read:
Dear Sakura
I'm going shopping for my dress and the bridesmaid's dresses tomorrow. YOU HAVE TO COME OR I WILL KILL YOU! And also because I need you help pick out my wedding dress. Ok? THANK YOU !
Ino
Sakura closed her phone and flopped back onto her bed. What am I going to do with her?
*The next day
"Sakura chan! I don't know!" Sakura rolled her eyes as she leaned back into the chair.
"Ino, you look beautiful in both of them… just choose which one you feel most comfortable in. You don't want yourself tripping like you did at Hinata's wedding…" Ino blushed at this and closed the curtains to change. Sakura closed her eyes and thought Hinata's married…TenTen and Ino are engaged…must be nice… Sakura chuckled as she remembered how Ino made her try on 50 different bridesmaid dresses to find the "perfect" one. In the end they picked a simple peach coloured one that had a bit of silver on it. . (the left one). Ino screaming her name awakened her and she walked over to her where Ino paid for her dress and Sakura paid for hers. Ino's dress was strapless, had flower decorations and it poofed out i00. . Ino looked happy. Sakura was smiling on the outside but on the inside she thought …looked more like a princess gown than a wedding dress but its very like her… She smiled at the thought of wedding dresses. I wonder what mind would look like… OH STOP IT SAKURA. You don't know if he's going to do it or it was just a coincidence… Ino started talking to her about the presents and Sakura just smiled and nodded. When she went home, she took a shower. When she came back out, her phone was ringing.
"Hello?"
"Sakura"
"Sasuke. What's wrong?"
"Um…" She could hear the tension in his voice. "Can you meet me at the bench in a half hour? Wear something nice."
"Wai-" She didn't get a chance to ask because he had hung up. Sakura thought about it. The bench? Which bench…he couldn't mean the bench he left me on….IS HE BREAKING UP WITH ME?! But why would he ask me to wear something nice?...URGHHH so confusing…
Sakura got ready and wore a comfortable but nice dress and left her house. As she ran to to the bench, she looked at her watch and saw that she would arrive 15 minutes earlier. When she arrived, she saw Sasuke waiting for her. He was dressed quite smartly which she found confusing but nevertheless walked up to him. He noticed her and stood up. Sakura looked at him in confusion
"I thought you said in a half hour…"
"I knew you would get here early" Sakura smiled at him.
"So what's wrong?" Sasuke's breath became uneven. Sakura looked at him in concern. Before she could she speak, Sasuke started speaking with very pink cheeks.
"Sakura, you were the girl who loved me for me and I was stupid in the past to let you go. I never knew that love could feel this way. I want to protect you forever and I want to love you forever. I want to live the rest of my life with you and I want us to be happy. So will you Sakura Haruno, although I know I'm jerk and unworthy of you, marry me?" Sakura's eyes were wide throughout the whole speech and her eyes followed his figure as he knelt down on one knee and pulled out the emerald ring.
*With Sasuke
As he knelt down and held the ring up, he closed his eyes and waited for the response.
*With Sakura
Sakura looked down at the ring. It was the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. It was the shade of emerald that she loved. She tried to answer but she couldn't. Tears were brimming her eyes as she cupped her mouth.
*With Sasuke
He never knew that silence could be this deadly. He was starting to feel stupid and he looked up dreading her reaction. But he was surprised when he saw her cupping her mouth and tears running down her face. She nodded once and then several times again. Sasuke's heart beat loudly as he stood up in relief. He slid the ring on her fourth finger. Sakura looked at the ring and then flung herself at Sasuke. Sasuke caught her in surprise but then hugged her back with the same amount of love. He could feel her petite form shivering. Then he heard whisper
"Yes…Of course I'll marry you.." They broke apart and Sakura smiled through her tears and said
"I was sick and tired of waiting for you Sasuke! But why green? What happened to the cliché white diamond ring?" Sasuke smirked and said
"I know you don't like cliché besides when I first saw that ring it reminded me of your beautiful eyes." Sakura gasped and she kissed him and he kissed back. They heard a rustle and their whole gang came out with smiles and shouts.
"CONGRATZ TEME!"
"Not bad Uchiha"
"Even I asked Ino before you but congratulations"
"Sakura Chan! Congratz!"
"Its your turn Sakura chan"
"TIME FOR SHOPPING!"
Sakura and Sasuke smiled and they were both filled with complete happiness. It was the most magical night of their lives. Sakura went home with Sasuke that night and it was filled with love.
*The wedding day
Sasuke's palms were sweating. It had only been three weeks since the engagement and here he was about to become a married man. The entire village was there. He knew that both Sakura and his families were watching from above. Tsunade and the teachers were crying. The fan boys and girls were crying too but he knew it wasn't from happiness. The grand doors opened and he saw the girls enter. They were wearing a light green strapless which gave the feeling of peace and harmony. .
When Sakura entered, his mind was blown away. She was wearing a strapless heart lined dress with slight ruffles and a flower on the waist. It was over exaggerated but it was beautiful and elegant. He smiled. Just like her. All of them were holding a bouquet of beautiful cherry blossoms. He smiled at that too. Why am I not surprised? It was a special and magical day for the both of them. They exchanged rings and vows. They promised to love each other and honour each other. After was the wedding party, Sasuke left Sakura leave for a while to talk to the elders of the village. When he turned around Sakura wasn't there. He looked everywhere for her but couldn't find her. He asked Naruto if he had seen her.
"Oh I saw Ino and Sakura run off to the bathroom. It looked urgent" In an instant, he was racing to the bathroom. What if she had food poisoning! When he arrived, he saw Ino looking shocked and had a bright gleam in her eyes. Sasuke ran up to her.
"Ino…where Sakura?" Ino looked up at him and smirked
"She's in there. She has something to tell you" Sasuke rushed in. (The bathroom is unisex…) Sasuke looked at sakura sitting on the ground shaking. He could smell the faint smell of vomit. His concern increased. He sat down and slowly shook her.
"Sakura…Sakura are you sick?" Sakura looked up at him with shocked eyes.
"Sasuke…."
"What. What's wrong?!" Then he heard the very lines that tore them up before
I'm pregnant…with your child
